I was absolutely shamed for refusing a tetanus shot in March. I’ve always had some reaction to them, even as a kid. The last one I got, more than 15 years ago made my whole arm and shoulder swell and hurt. My doctor noted the allergy in my chary and said the risk of an anaphylactic reaction was greater than the risk of tetanus.
The doctor ordered one for literal scrapes on my leg… not even bleeding. I refused, told her to check my chart, and she lectured for several minutes about tetanus. I was there because I ruptured my hamstring and tore it off the bone - which my surgeon later told me is one of the most painful injuries. Bitchy doc treated me like I was drug seeking and was generally a shitty person after I refused the shot.
She was horrible anyway, I ended up in tears several times until the nurse went to the charge nurse and got bitch doc banned from my room and decent doc took over.
I hope this makes sense. It’s early. No coffee yet.
It's okay. Some doctors do not have a good bedside manner and these are usually the ones with the "Respect my authority" attitude. At least you had her removed. God bless you for sticking to your guns.
I went to 8 years of school so I'm smart.
Doctors have proven that at least 70 percent of them are idiots. Covid exposed them all.
You are rare for this day and age. There aren't many people who have both 'book' and 'common sense." My husband had a friend who is a lawyer. They grew up together, but the friend did not have the 'common sense' to climb a fence. He walked around til he found a gate or opening. My husband had to show him how to climb a fence or go under/between barbed wire. To this day, this lawyer has no common sense. I tried to red pill him but he called me a Conspiracy Theorist. Congrats on your smartness. Wish I could say the same. All I have is an Associates.
There is a difference between smart and educated. Doctors are educated. Most people if they apply themselves could be doctors. Smart is something entirely different and is something you are born with or without.
Similar experience here, except the ER doctor refused to operate on my rupturing appendix because he thought I was seeking a painkiller script. Even though my sister drove me there and my dad showed up and I was writhing in pain. I was 22 and he told my dad my liver enzymes were elevated probably because of my drinking, then he gave me a prostate exam just to make it clear what a dick he could be. My PCP put me in emergency surgery the next morning. Years later I told a friend who's a doctor and he said I could've sued.
I don’t understand why doctors need to be such assholes.
I ended up filing a complaint with the hospital and with the state medical board. Not sure what came of it, but at least it’s documented.
You can't get tetanus from scrapes. You can only get it from deep.puncture wounds and the bacteria that causes is is not likely anywhere near you unless you live in a hot wet tropical type climate with tons of horse manure around.
Correct. You should fire any doctor who pushes a tetanus vaccine without contact with animals or wildlife.
Tetanus lives in the intestinal tract of animals.
The reason it’s associated with deep puncture wounds is because rusty nails are traditionally found in old farming areas.
It’s not the wound, it’s the introduction of animal fecal bacteria, which can live in the soil for years.
The tetanus vaccine also doesn’t build immunity fast enough if you get it after the wound, according to their own numbers.
The vaccine related injuries for the tetanus vaccine are greater than or equal to the amount of hospitalizations from tetanus during their peak.
You are better off not getting the shot, and if you are infected with tetanus, receiving antibody serum.
I stopped getting tetanus boosters and my allergies all dissappeared. Had them so bad, along with projectile committing my whole life until I stopped.
Correct, they always told me it is too late once you get the wound that you need it before hand.
Has absolutely NOTHING to do with rust.
My kids friend's mom made a big scene about them getting tetanus from a rusty plate and told my son that that plate was more dangerous than any vaccine because she knew we did not vaccinate. She is a NURSE yet totally ignorant.
I
The tetanus vaccine takes weeks to develop immunity so it's worthless if you actually just got tetanus, you would be dead before then. If you actually develop tetanus, there's a different treatment you would use. So basically, it's pointless to get the shot apart from handling "the next time".
The tetanus thing is really only a risk if you get soil from the earth into a cut and fail to wash it out promptly. A clean cut absent debris that could contain the bacteria is of no risk at all.
In the US there are about 30 cases per year, almost all of which have not been vaccinated
So the vaccine is not perfect in anycase, and is a blanket protection for a very very rare condition. About 10% of cases are serious enough to lead to death, but again one would expect that to apply to those with pre-existing complicating factors. The immune system deals with 90% of those cases that do occur.
Not "soil", it's caused by toxins in cow/horse/pig manure which was what brings on the dis-ease known as "tetanus".
No bacteria are contagious/infectious/dis-ease causing.
My understanding is it's a bacteria, that releases a toxin. It isn't contagious/transmissible person to person as you say, but it is 'infectious' by mechanical insertion under the skin by trauma. Then the toxin is released by the bacteria..
Precisely correct. The best word to use is "Putrefied" matter/tissue, which is the end result of some bacterial decay.
Technically speaking, anything entering our pristine bloodstream through broken skin qualifies as "toxic".
The "putrefied toxin" is already present on the foot of the person that steps on the "rusty nail" --- the nail just pushes it deep into the sterile environment and bloodstream.
It has to be a deep puncture wound. Pretty sure your basic open wound in the open air won't get you tatanus, and more likely from manure than soil
I think that's the wrong attitude. We know the mRNA shots have been untried before and are showing all kinds of problems. Tetanus vaccines have been used for years unlike mRNA. I wouldn't hesitate getting that. My uncle had tetanus, otherwise known as lockjaw, it gave him heart problems.
I think you should use your discretion on it to be honest, I haven't gotten one in years but I also am not around anything rusty. If I got poked with something rusty I would go get it otherwise why would I need it?
I kinda dislike how people are throwing the baby out with the bathwater to vaccines because this one is bad, it kinda is like the whole flat earth thing to discredit a movement or at least that's what it feels like to me, they can go and say "see look they are antivaxx! It's not just COVID they are against!"
It’s because we don’t trust the medical industry, and for good reason. We no longer think they have our best interest in mind.
I have put a pause on all injections for my kids.
if you think the corruption and genocide is only as deep as this one plandemic and the covid "vax" you have much more awakening to do. am i anti vax? you're damn fucking right i am and if there's the random 1 or 2 that are actually safe and useful they'll need to do a better job of convincing me
I agree. With everything we know and finding out everything we've ever been taught was a lie, how can I feel good about injecting my babies with who knows WHAT
I agree. While I am disappointed by many doctors I know and felt I could trust because of their pro covid vaxx stance, I know that's a hot button issue and they often just do as they're told by the hospitals, insurance companies, etc. But at some point the truth about Covid and the vax will drip out and more will come around to think...hmmm, I thought they were telling me the truth. Maybe I need to ask more questions next time. But we shouldn't let that one issue determine that we can't trust them at all. I do know that drugs are a racket and cost much more than they have to. But until something better comes along it's what we have to work with now. To say no to a tetanus shot would be to say all things vax are bad. I can't go that far. If you were bitten by a rattlesnake would you take the anti-poison shot? Same thing.
Not the same thing. Giving a tetanus vaccine for a cut or fish hook does nothing other than make a sale. If you actually had tetanus from whatever injury you have, the tetanus would kill you before the vaccine was able to take effect (2-4 weeks). If you have tetanus they need to give you human tetanus immune globulin to cure. The tetanus shot as a ritual for cuts is a scam.
Do you have sauce?
Please take this opportunity to investigate all vaccines.
They didn’t just start the propaganda this year. They have always hid the downsides and exaggerated the benefits.
It’s so frustrating that people see the obvious corruption with COVID, but still trust the other garbage they’re pushing on us.
I agree completely. But many schools have established rules for admittance that includes a list of things a child must be vaccinated for before they can gain admittance, even into first grade. That list needs to be revisited once the Covid truth is known.
That is exactly how it should be, some things are very helpful others are not and just fluff to make a sale, its the same thing with prescriptions sometimes the side effects are worth dealing with because the alternative is worse. And Doctors should help people make informed decisions about their medical health. I wouldn't call you antivaxx but the media sure would, antivaxx would be against all vaccinces.
Who knows what doctors are allowed to put I. That needle, or what drug companies would put in it.
I think a lot more scrutiny will happen because of Covid. As things come out there will be more people expressing the same concern that will need to be addressed not just pertaining to vaccines but all drugs. Just as importantly, I think that doctors will need to be re-educated about what things are put into drugs including IV solutions. I think these Covid vaccines are going to start a whole new push for manufacturing all drugs here in the U.S. where they can be monitored and cross checked rather than imported from countries like China and then batch checked. This cloud will have a silver lining in the end.
The reason that I don’t get them any more is because I’ve had a reaction every time, and the last reaction was my whole arm and shoulder being red and painful to touch/use for a week after the shot.
There is a very small chance that tetanus could affect me from any small scrape or wound, but there is a greater risk of a severe reaction from getting the shot again.
My choice on that vaccine (or any) is not an uneducated choice, it’s a benefit/risk analysis, and for me, the shot poses a greater risk. My doctor happens to support and agree with the decision, so there is no reason that any other doctor should shame or lecture me on refusing that, or any vaccine.
Informed consent, not coercion, should be the rule in most situations.
I haven't got a Tetanus shot in 20 years and I am a ham handed toolmaker constantly getting scrapes and cuts.
I got my final one that long ago also.
I had one about 10 years ago after getting a huge rusty fish hook stuck in a bone in my hand. I think I'm good for now. 🙄
I was pushed into having one, later that day I thought I was dying - my temperature plummeted, never felt so cold in my life. Had layers and layers piled onto me and still my teeth were chattering. Was ok after a day but that was enough to put me off vaccines for life.
Sounds like you got to experience "Lock Jaw" for a while, sort of like some people who get the flu shots experience flu for a short time.
They make pregnant women get it.
Correct. I’ve had four TDAP/DTAP shots in the last ten years because I’ve had four kids in that time. Every single kid, they push it saying it’s good for the baby and would prevent me from spreading whooping cough to the baby.
I like to say I’m more vaccinated than the people who have had both experimental gene therapy injections and consider themselves “fully vaccinated.”
Tetanus is caused by a toxin produced by bacterium. It exists in soil and animal feces. Cutting yourself on rusty steel or iron would be concerning if it was in the ground for some period of time. Regular wounds won't have Clostridium Tetani in it. The dogma of getting a tetanus shot whenever you are cut has become ritualistic. Another scenario where better safe than sorry has gotten over played and the fact that doctor's don't know the mechanism for being infected with Clostridium Tetani is very concerning. If the doctor had the information of what you are cut with and the location and circumstances of the wound, they would know they you had virtually no risk, that would not justify the hard sell on getting a Tetanus booster
Funny we call it medicine. They practice medicine. Or the giving of medicines. Pharma.
I look for people who practice healing. Smart people who understand nature and the body.
Besides surgery and broken bones, nobody needs a doctor.
DO NOT get any shots/injections! My parents got their flu shots in Dec. (as they religiously do) both tested positive for Covid a week later.
I was being pumped full of different pharmaceutical meds for behavior modification since grade school, for supposedly ADHD/anxiety/depression, now as an adult at 28, I’ve weened myself off of those drugs and I’m completely unmedicated for the first time ever. I feel completely fine, emotionally stable, and attention span feels normal too.
I likely hadn’t needed that crap hardly ever, yet they kept finding reasons to pump me full of it.
Congratulations! I knew a kid who was on the meds and when he got to about 15, he told his parents he wasn't going to take the meds any more, they allowed it, and he turned out fine. I think the ADHD industry is huge due to big pharma.
Took my 13 year old daughter for her school physical and shots a few months back. Without my permission the doctor ordered a "flu" shot to go along with her regular boosters. When I found out about it thanks to the nurse double checking with me. I put a stop to that shot and went off on the doctor. As of that day, my daughter will no longer be getting any shots and neither will I. As for dirt in a cut or wound? Dirt is an awesome coagulant that will stop the bleeding until you can get somewhere to clean and dress the cut or wound... First hand knowledge on that one...
tetanus is not from rust. it's a common misconception. people were coming down with tetanus from stepping on old rusty nails... in the basements of abandoned buildings... with were infested in rats. tetanus was aquired by exposing an open wound to rat feces. it's not from rust or metal.
Yeah when my doctor's appt came around I just flat out cancelled it. Not interested, I'll come back after this shit is sorted out. Still going to the dentist though.
I'm amazed at how much respect I've lost for doctors and scientists over this fiasco.
Nothing against tetanus but if you had the shot already and it's good for 10 years why do you need one every time you cut yourself
Years ago the tetanus shot was a tetanus shot and good for 10 years. At my work when I started a few years back they offered a tetanus shot for employees but it was combined with whooping cough if I remember correctly. I asked why and she couldn't give me an answer. I asked about just getting tetanus and she told me that wasn't available. I have refused all shots from my employer and signed a waiver because of it. I'm now wondering if my signing of that waiver can be my ticket out if they try to mandate the jab which they are trying now by offering employees a paid vacation day to take the jab. Unfortunately quite a few of the employees have already been double jabbed. Time will tell. Personally I would not recommend anyone to take ANY shots offered for anything.
