Why Do Some People Support Tyranny While Others Defy It? August 12, 2021

**Excerpted from article: **

The Defiant And Free

The little tyrants that infiltrate humanity probably look at liberty advocates as some kind of alien creatures from far beyond the bounds of their universe. They just can’t fathom how it is possible for someone to defy the system, to stand against the mob or the collective, even when they are outnumbered or when the risk is so high. They assume that it is a form of madness or a lack of intelligence; for how could anyone smart think they have a chance of fighting back against the dictatorship?

Liberty people are individualists by nature, but we also care about the freedoms of others. There is a common propaganda narrative that claims that individualists are “selfish”, but this is not the case at all. It is not enough for us alone to escape slavery, we will not stand by and watch others be forced into bondage either. We are willing to risk our lives not just to save ourselves but to save future generations from autocracy.

As the vaccine passports and mandates continue to escalate the totalitarians will find themselves even more bewildered, because each new mechanism of control will result in even greater impetus for rebellion, and frankly at this point it is going to be us, or them. They will not stop their pursuit of dominion and we will not comply, so we are at an impasse. Our two tribes cannot coexist within the same society, maybe not even the same planet.

The truth is that if voluntarism was a valued ideal then this whole fight could be avoided. If the collectivist cult was willing to accept the notion that they can choose to live in a highly micromanaged environment while others can choose to live independently, then there would be no crisis. We could easily go our separate ways. But this is not how totalitarians think: To them, all people are chattel, we are property to be staked down and reeducated until we see the light. And if we don’t see the light, we are to be done away with and erased.

This is why they are utterly to blame for the war that is coming. They cannot stop themselves from grasping for our throats and our minds. They are addicted to supremacy. They are living in a fever dream and the only drug that cools their veins is total oppression of everyone around them. I see what is coming next and it is not pretty for either side, but it will be especially gruesome for the collectivists because they cannot imagine a scenario in which they lose. They are so certain of their preeminence and the safety of their self imposed prisons that they will see failure as a phantom, a ghost that cannot touch them. It would only take a handful of minor defeats to bring them down, but this requires freedom advocates become more organized than they are.

The bottom line is this: Tyrannical systems are planned by elitists groups and governments and it is they that benefit most from the destruction of public freedoms. It is indeed a conspiracy, and the pandemic lockdowns and forced vaccine response are no exception. However, tyrannical systems could not be executed without the help of a larger psychopathic contingent of the population, and these people congregate together to make terrible things happen. It’s as if they hear a silent dog whistle as totalitarianism rises, or they smell the blood of innocent victims in the air.

Call them leftists, call them communists, call them collectivists, call them whatever you want; but know that the globalists are not our only concern. There is a wall of self absorbed and power hungry peons in the way, and they want whatever scraps they can get from the big boy’s table. They are not oblivious; they have not been tricked into doing the things they do. They are a sad and pathetic bunch but they are still dangerous in their ambitions, and they will continue to slither out of the woodwork as the covid agenda progresses.

Why did they drag a senile, unloved Biden across the finish line, against the will of the Democrat primary voters? Then had him choose a VP that nobody on either side of the aisle likes.

Why did they have him openly brag that he didn't need their votes, and they have the biggest fraud operation ever?

Because it was a show of power. They wanted the fraud to be obvious to anybody paying attention, and then they demonstrated how they own law enforcement and the entire justice system. The Constitution didn't matter, they were untouchable.

Murphy71 13 points ago +13 / -0

That show of power - blatant ignorance of all the norms of law and decency and weaponisation of every institution - has been creeping in for a long time in the West, and has been well established elsewhere for longer. Yuri Bezmenov saw the signs and warned us 40 years ago. But you are right - the blatant stealing of a US election and implementing a coup was not just a power play, it was also the point where they passed the point of no return. If a response cannot be marshalled to punish wrongdoings of such overwhelming enormity, then there is presumably no response to fear whatsoever.

yep one giant demoralization display too

That's my biggest fear in all this.

I don't know that we will ever use our guns, since we didn't for an actual communist coup.

In their own eyes!

Appearances are not always as they seem. Your viewpoint can color everything, and come back to bite you.

The Roman government boasted power to kill anyone, no one doubted that boast. But Jesus boasted the power to both lay His life down and take it up again! Roman centurions twice recognized what the leadership of Sadducees and Pharisees would not: that Jesus had authority over disease, and even over the timing of His own death!

Luke 7:1-10

Luke 23:47, Matthew 27:54, and Mark 15:39

This!!! Well said!!!

SvixGale 1 point ago +1 / -0

Please don't legitimize them like that.

They flat out performed a full-bore coup via cheating, theft, etc.

Lapstrake 1 point ago +1 / -0

I don't think you read my comment properly, because I certainly didn't say anything about them being legitimate, quite the opposite.

Vapourface 21 points ago +22 / -1

As Ayn Rand said thru one of her characters:

"The creator's concern is the conquest of nature, the parasite's concern is the conquest of men"

These people are parasites. They live off the labour of others, they produce nothing but misery.

TotesMehGoat 7 points ago +7 / -0

I love that. Never heard the quote before.

Placing man in control has consequences. Unless God is our King, it won’t be long until tyranny and oppression strike.

“So Samuel told all the words of the Lord to the people who were asking for a king from him. He said, “These will be the ways of the king who will reign over you: he will take your sons and appoint them to his chariots and to be his horsemen and to run before his chariots. And he will appoint for himself commanders of thousands and commanders of fifties, and some to plow his ground and to reap his harvest, and to make his implements of war and the equipment of his chariots. He will take your daughters to be perfumers and cooks and bakers. He will take the best of your fields and vineyards and olive orchards and give them to his servants. He will take the tenth of your grain and of your vineyards and give it to his officers and to his servants. He will take your male servants and female servants and the best of your young men and your donkeys, and put them to his work. He will take the tenth of your flocks, and you shall be his slaves. And in that day you will cry out because of your king, whom you have chosen for yourselves, but the Lord will not answer you in that day.” But the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel. And they said, “No! But there shall be a king over us, that we also may be like all the nations, and that our king may judge us and go out before us and fight our battles.” And when Samuel had heard all the words of the people, he repeated them in the ears of the Lord. And the Lord said to Samuel, “Obey their voice and make them a king.” Samuel then said to the men of Israel, “Go every man to his city.”” ‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭8:10-22‬ ‭ESV‬‬

EXACTLY. William Penn put it thusly: Men must be governed by God or they will be ruled by tyrants. Our founders were very wise men. We would do well to imitate their. sources of educational material....the Bible being the most studied

PowderRoomPolitics 11 points ago +11 / -0

G. K. Chesterton had another way of saying this:

“If men will not be governed by the Ten Commandments, they shall be governed by the ten thousand commandments”

TakeItBack 2 points ago +2 / -0

Oooo, I really like that one; never heard it! Thanks.

Bullshit. I crave freedom in it's purist form: anarchism.

There are two types of people. Book smart people who follow authority and NEVER question it. They crave authority and order. Then there are common sense people who question everything. They don't care what the rules are, they want to know WHY. And if the common sense people learn that you are lying they will never trust you again. The book smart people think that the authority figure must be lying for a very good reason and don't care. The two types of people generally can't stand each other. We annoy each other with a passion.

SomeRandomGuy77 6 points ago +6 / -0

Because pretending it isn't tyranny is easier than being left with the self imposed question of what you're going to do about it, and answering "nothing - because I am a coward".

MordenGeist 5 points ago +5 / -0

I forget who said it, and I'm going to paraphrase, but here goes...

Good times breed soft men, which leads to hard times for all. Hard times breeds hard men who fight for good times. Its a never ending cycle that has repeated throughout History. Lessons are never learned because those seeking to control alter or abolish what hard men had to fight for, and the people forget.

Sound familiar?

PhDinNY 5 points ago +5 / -0

I think some people take comfort in having others make all their decisions. (I should probably say, "Too many people take comfort....")

mengderen 5 points ago +5 / -0

I have been seeing this as trickle down tyranny, living in a blue state with a tyrant for a governor, a Sec State dedicated to the destruction of 'one man, one vote', health directors (down to county level) mandating Draconian restrictions and business closings of "non-essential businesses" to employees of favored businesses virtue signaling their power over customers. Because of their lack of regard for medical exemptions, they ceased being America, land of the free where freedom above safety rules..

kish-kumen 4 points ago +4 / -0

There is one other type that will support tyranny. Some prefer "order" over freedom. Sure, they'd ideally like both, but once a dictator is in power they see revolution as disorder and chaos.

It's the whole "trains running on time" argument (even though they didn't).

deleted 1 point ago +1 / -0
PaintingTruth17 4 points ago +4 / -0

Said it a 100 times annually for 20 years - " Never underestimate the dangers of stupid people in large groups ".

It's zero sum game. You cannot passively " live and let live " with people who actively want to kill and control you .

They have had their way for our whole lives. It's our turn. IT IS OUR TIME. Whatever the future holds, get tf on with it. We are ready.

Sunnywindows 4 points ago +4 / -0

Wow, this is excellent! Expresses everything I’ve been thinking lately about the split in our population. Sending to everyone I know who would understand what it means.

One word answer: EMPATHY

Liberty people are individualists by nature, but we also care about the freedoms of others. There is a common propaganda narrative that claims that individualists are “selfish”, but this is not the case at all. It is not enough for us alone to escape slavery, we will not stand by and watch others be forced into bondage either. We are willing to risk our lives not just to save ourselves but to save future generations from autocracy.

Explained well here: https://zeroaggressionproject.org/mental-lever/happiness/ and even better here: https://zeroaggressionproject.org/mental-lever/empathy/

Remember that when this country was formed, only about 30% of the population bought into the idea of independence. About an equal number wanted to stay loyal to Britain and the remainder had no opinion one way or the other.

ThiccusDickus 3 points ago +3 / -0

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The right are individualists for the sake of the collective. The left are apparently collectivists for the sake of the individual. Once we agree to disagree, we can start looking towards the true enemy. Those who would forsake the individual and collective for the self.

Huffman98 3 points ago +4 / -1

It's increasingly believable that the people in our midst clamoring for greater and greater levels of totalitarianism are (merely) expressing the words and ideas being fed to them through their 5G-activated nano neural networks... the ones they received when they took the jab.

ProphetOfKek 14 points ago +14 / -0

Honestly, I’ve lived long enough to know you don’t need nanobots to poison human thinking. The sad truth is that propaganda works. People want to consume bullshit, and there are plenty of others willing to supply it.

It's Mass Psychosis.

The fanatical worship of Obama was the first sign of how primed many were to a Mass Psychosis event. Then TDS. Covid finally triggered a global Mass Psychosis event that has still not burned itself out.

During the Witch burnings in US and Europe some places had almost no women left. How is murdering all the women a sane and rational decision? It's not. It's madness, yet they did it. It didn't matter that they were dooming themselves. All they could think about was dealing with the flood of fear that had overwhelmed them. What happened tomorrow was not their problem NOW.

Many places have become outdoor insane asylums has people give up logic and rationality in favor of their insane delusions. It's NOT normal to have a meltdown because a person on the other side of the road is not wearing a mask. The Delta variant has no mode of transmission, no test was ever developed for it (they're just using the same PCR tests they used for Covid so how do they test for a variant at all?) and yet the delusional will accept it all and reject reality.

Even if you reason with them they cling to their delusions.

Good news is that often after the Mass Psychosis has run its course the ones who survive finally accept reality. They spend the rest of their lives regretting their spell of madness and wondering how it happened. Unfortunately, Mass Psychosis events do a lot of damage. If the MP leads to people surrendering their rights to a totalitarian government then even if they wake up it may not do much good.

DS spent decades priming the populace to reject reality just for this Mass Psychosis. It will have to burn itself out.

I do think the Plan is accelerating this. More and more are getting challenged in their delusions. It just doesn't look at that way from social media and fake news.

Mass Psychosis events can lift suddenly, but we do have a lot of people still clinging to the delusion that Covid is actually a real threat to their lives.

OregonAngel2 3 points ago +3 / -0

Here is a link to a great video describing Mass Psychosis and how tyrants create and use it:

It really fits the whole Covid/riots/vote fraud etc. situation we have been living through. It's very likely worth your time to see this.

ultra_star 6 points ago +6 / -0

But don't forget--awakened ones like us can see through all the propaganda. We're a minority--though every fact and every scientific study and everything that looks like the truth are all against us--we are the special and anointed ones who can see the truth that no one else can. That also means we are the Chosen and we alone can change this world.

TakeItBack 6 points ago +6 / -0

This is massive spiritual warfare.....it has always been this way--since man's decision to disobey his Creator.

slokill 5 points ago +5 / -0

No. They were like this before the tyranny, they just never had a chance to exercise their idiocy. Blaming 5G or inoculation for inhumane and intolerant behavior is naive.

SpaceManBob 1 point ago +1 / -0

No, it isn't.

SemperSupra 3 points ago +3 / -0

Well, why do some people get sucked into the madness of Mass Psychosis and give into insane demands of those delusion while others retain their sanity?

Well, why do some people get sucked into the madness of Mass Psychosis and give into insane demands of those delusion while others retain their sanity?

I theorize it is a matter of character and ego. Deadly Sins vrs. Virtue

The Seven Deadly Sins Three Spiritual Sins

  1. Pride (spiritual sin)
  2. Envy (spiritual sin)
  3. Wrath (spiritual sin affected by body) Four Corporal Sins
  4. Accidia or Sloth (corporal sin)
  5. Avaricia/Cupiditas or Greed (corporal sin)
  6. Gluttony (corporal sin)
  7. Lust (corporal sin)

The Seven Holy Virtues Three Spiritual (or Theological) Virtues

  1. Fides (Faith)
  2. Spes (Hope)
  3. Caritas (Charity) The Four Cardinal (or Pagan) Virtues
  4. Prudence
  5. Temperance
  6. Fortitude
  7. Justice

Here is one solution to, and a very good description of, the use and abuse of mass psychosis by tyrants:

Qasar 2 points ago +2 / -0

While I can appreciate this well-written article, it seems the author, a self-described independent journalist, can be off-track on many issues. Here’s a link to his website with “pandemic” discussion including his advocacy for emptying the prisons, how canceling student debt is good, and here’s another little opinion from BS - “ This means that the daily news appearances by Trump and crew, always reassuring from Donald, are full of shit. Pardon my French, but it means that without 100% testing, the world faces immeasurable peril.”

Apparently he’s not so good with real research. This was from March 2020 so perhaps he was more panicked than clear-headed. In any case I’d tread warily on this author going forward.

(It would be great if someone could archive this before it disappears).

NorthusMaximus 2 points ago +2 / -0

We MUST succeed. It is not only the election and ending communism's encroaching grasp on us, it is the child trafficking and killing of innocents. We know it is real and used to feed the evil. We don't deal with it with all our might and prayer for divine assistance. Then we are complicit and doomed ourselves. There is not going to be a second chance for the humanity on this planet.

GimmeMemes 1 point ago +1 / -0

Those who succumb to fear will be to scared to oppose tyranny.

Those who resist fear will have the courage to push fear to the back of their minds and oppose tyranny.
