Take it a step further and "set the example" and people will come to ask you. You do not need to scream doom and gloom from the side walks, "The end is near!"

Not true. Virtually all churches are considered to be 501c3 for the purposes of taxation/IRS without ever filing anything. Both good and bad. No contract.
Hard to find a good church, that's true. Can't take the easy way out and say ALL are bad, though.
Keep looking, but go for the smaller churches. Definitely do some research ahead of time by reading their Statement of Faith which should be on their website, and maybe watching videos of the past few sermons.
No church is going to be perfect (until Jesus returns), so you'll have to give some patience and grace, but they should be like-minded on core beliefs.
Despite what others are saying about dropping church altogether, I believe that we are made to live in community. Being surrounded by like-minded Christian brothers and sisters will help give you the strength we all need in these trying times.

The 'headquarters' are out of Anderson, Indiana. The churches under the umbrella often have "Church of God" in the name.. Very bible based. Hell is real, good works don't get you salvation. Homosexuality is a sin but hold your horses on the condemnation because everyone sins and all sin is equally detested by God.
I'm of the opinion that physical churches should split off when they get to a certain quantity of people. One of the main purposes of the church is community, you can't get that if you're the equivalent of an ant in a colony and the pastor doesn't recognize you. Then there's the issue of leadership, delegating it, training others and the like. Megachurches just attract bad characters, like the Osteens and the like.
I found a church near me where the pastor is fearless in speaking out about corrupt politicians, covid b.s., but it doesn't feel especially 'spirit filled' know what I mean?
I mostly just read a bit of my Bible each night before bed, and do a Sunday service online now. There are some really great online ministries.
Try United Reformed Church (URC) or Othodox Presbyterian Church (OPC) or Presbyterian Church of America (PCA) or any local Ecumenical (meaning Bible believing, not the denomination) church. Find a pastor who is based (biblically) and preaches God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Avoid PCUSA, nondenominational, catholic, most Methodist churches have fallen (not all, I know a good local one, he disagrees with the national Methodist church change in theology about homosexuality). Congregational churches can be good or trash, they have no national standard. The church denominations I listed first have very strict national standards and have not fallen to woke BS, I dislike Catholicism because most (like Methodists) have fallen away from scripture with few exceptions.
It's easy now to tell which churches care about people, and which ones are tax shelters. Sadly, most of them are tax shelters, and have been for many, many years.

They went head-to-head against Gov. Newsom. You can find their weekly services online; gather up some friends and worship together while watching those.
There are many others out there, but not as well known.
Also agree that reading the Bible and praying are very important.
First church I walked into in 10 years was preaching unity, humility, faith, and the unbreakable human spirit. If they had brought up politics I would of walked too.
Everyone is being exposed. Tyrant. Bully. Anti-freedom. Fascist. Or freedom loving human. You can see who people are now. And it's disappointing and disgusting.
The search qualifies the investigator. If you're really serious, find two or three services with different congregations that don't overlap but still meet on Sunday and go to them all. If the spirit in you feels like you've been enlarged by one of them, it might be a good indicator to stay.
If you can't decide which one to go to, it's probably an indicator to find three more and move on.
And above all, ask God for direction. He has a pretty good track record when it comes to personal guidance, and he loves his children. :)

Pastor Jack Hobbs, Calvary Chapel of Chino Hills, CA and John MacArthur of Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, CA are just two men of God who did not sell out to the deep state. They went head-to-head against Gov. Newsom. You can find their weekly services online; gather up some friends and worship together while watching those. There are many others out there, but not as well known.
Also agree that reading the Bible and praying are very important.

First church I walked into in 10 years was preaching unity, humility, faith, and the unbreakable human spirit. If they had brought up politics I would of walked too.
Everyone is being exposed. Tyrant. Bully. Anti-freedom. Fascist. Or freedom loving human. You can see who people are now. And it's disappointing and disgusting.
The search qualifies the investigator. If you're really serious, find two or three services with different congregations that don't overlap but still meet on Sunday and go to them all. If the spirit in you feels like you've been enlarged by one of them, it might be a good indicator to stay. If you can't decide which one to go to, it's probably an indicator to find three more and move on.
And above all, ask God for direction. He has a pretty good track record when it comes to personal guidance, and he loves his children. :)
