My husband used to work for the railroad, that's why this caught my eye. They violate union contracts all the time without any recourse, that's how he lost his job, when he was supposed to have x days of notice or get paid for x days he didn't get notice, he was laid off with literally a 1/2 hour notice and got jack shit for it. He went to their arbitration, where the person overseeing and deciding the arbitration works for CSXT, no conflict of interest there (/s). It should be interesting to see if they find their balls this time around.
Agreed, fren. I couldn't believe the shit they pulled with my husband. And honestly, the last (2nd) time he got laid off from there, he went back to his former industry and got happier in general almost overnight. He was always miserable there, now he loves what he does. And he makes a lot more money now. He's better off. At least his boss now appreciates him and shows it. It was through his experience with CSX that I realized why people say you get "railroaded" when you get screwed over - they exemplify that term.

Democrats abandoned the Unions long ago. The sole reason why they moved manufacturing overseas, particularly China, was to kill off unions, and it almost worked. The problem is we still have hundreds of industries China still can't compete with even with devaluing their currency and enslaving their people further inland. Sorry, but when you enslave someone, the quality of their work isn't going to be that great. We've learned this a hundred years ago, and the real reason why slavery was abolished all over the world.
Like flame on parchment, our Human collective is realizing the power of Unity. Our entire existence in the US, even from infanthood, is directed towards independence. For those of us who are youngest among our siblings, we may have been tasked with (practically) raising ourselves. The rest of the family was likely busy with managing their own lives, and we had to figure it out ourselves. Not the easiest of journeys, but certainly one filled with opportunity to expand consciousness and to learn compassion. It's been a long road, but I truly understand now (with the help of Q and frankly every pede here) that we need one another. We absolutely are all in this together...including those who were more susceptible to the conditioning and poisoning, for whatever reason.
We apparently needed this brick to the face to get that it's time to talk to one another and find common ground. This is the very last thing that team dark wants to see happen, yet here we are witnessing it exactly.

THIS could be a definite positive for unions. Personally, my father is an extremely hard working electrician who worked his way up to foreman without having had a high school degree.
The union made sure we all have Healthcare growing up u Der him, that he could put my brothers and I through college, own his home and one in Spain, take me to see my family in Eutope every summer growing up, and have more than I can imagine on savings.
People say non union pays as much, all the non union laborers where I live make a fraction of what union pulls in and no benefits. My father's generation of countrymen who came to the US in the 80s were all broke hard workers who grinded in union jobs and either rose through ranks or started their own companies and hired their own men.
They are all conservatives having left a post dictatorship nation stricken with poverty where if you wanted something done you did it yourself.
I don't like where this is going, the unions are involved and they are controlled by the globos, if they wanted to take a stand they should all just not get the shot and keep showing up to work until they are fired (which won't happen)
By going on strike or demonstrating or " negotiating" they are giving an excuse to blame the economy crash (which was baked in years and years ago) on the "scary anti vax terrorists" and they are taking the responsibility away from the individual workers.

SMART is using the push for a mandate as a way to push the negotiations they already had in place.
