What a frigging happy Monday Frens 🐸❤️ NCSWIC
It is Christmas early! 🎄❤️
Yeah because this is totally normal
Just because it's a phrase, doesn't make it normal. It also doesn't make it proper. If the stock market is based on speculation and how a company is preforming, to stop trading on a company to allow them to "adapt" or "prove themselves with a new CEO" is heavy government influence to keep the market cap from plummeting. If fake news can't keep a story from coming out then the stock market will just stop trading to halt negative effects. I remember when a company would go through an acquisition and it was destined to then lose value on the stock market until they streamline their business again.
That's exactly what's happening here except it's a CEO change instead of an acquisition, and people are puffing this up for no reason. Twitter stocks have lost some value since the news (changes in CEO always do that on most cases), and then will go up again once they streamline their business in the mid-to-long-run. That's all there is to it.
By the way trading got suspended then, but now it's back on... as expected.
Why is this stickied? This happened for one hour between 9:50 and 10:50. It's currently active.
It happened.
The headline "suspends" is misleading and out of date. This is clickbait, after the fact.
Stock halts happen every week on exchanges. Come on guys, this is embarrassing. This is how shills downplay a big move like Jack stepping down. They hop onto these communities and try to extrapolate a dozen hidden meanings to seemingly big events that actually are super common and business as usual. Then after a couple days of everyone parroting the end of Twitter, they flip it on you guys and taunt you endlessly for all the "misinformation the q-tards have fallen for again"
I thinks it’s the fact the CEO, was announced today, is stepping down, and simultaneously trade stopped on such. It’s significant. It’s news worthy. It’s sticky worthy. If there is something you would like to see stickied over news, please..let peeps know. I’m thankful it was stickied, otherwise I would have never seen it.
Not simultaneously. As I noted elsewhere, the stock initially surged at the bell over the news, to the tune of 10% around 52ish, then twenty minutes later it had already dropped to 47, at which point it was halted. When it was restarted, it continued to drop.
Oh, a whole 20 minutes...game changer, right?
/sarcasm
Yes. The stock went up with the news. The halt was on its way down.
Then I agree..this was definitely habbenings.
Sarcasm: Detected.
"Is this the 10 days of darnkess?"
The correct word should be "halted" not "suspended." It was temporary and required. The halt actually STOPPED Twitter's stock price from climbing. It shot up 11% in 5 min. Halt. And it ended the day in the red. That's a good thing, unless you're holding stock in Twitter. But it is important to note that there was a halt, because that halt was caused by fuckery attempts to blast up the price knowing that a dump was coming... Insiders who knew @Jack was leaving, which would likley cause some selling, which eventually did happen right after the halt lifted.
There was a halt at 9:53 when it was dropping.
It'd be awesome if Truth came online today
This event prompted me to buy more DWAC.
Wish I got in when it was $10.
I wish I had bought at $17 when I first was tipped off. It rocketed the next day! Was too busy making 150% on SHIB around that time - shoulda moved some over though. Always bet on Trump!
Wonder what DWAC is at?
Down 0.92% @ $42.70
Niiice 😎. Any word on his site-launch date?
I wish, applied for beta testing.. nothing yet.
Damnit I had $60 Twitter PUT option that expired in June. expired worthless.
Buying Puts are for shorting, you're betting it will go down. Buying Calls are bets that it will go up. I took had a Put on TWTR that expired worthless, then it had that 15% drop the very next damn week.
Long halt, maybe a buyout?
The CEO is stepping down. Stock was halted because of significant news planned to be shared during the trading day.
This is a brief intraday trading halt, very common for all kinds of reasons - and different from a stock being suspended from the exchange.
Awww . . . . Twitter's in the shitter? how sad, for them.
It was inevitable. I hope that shite crashes to the ground.
Would somebody in the know please explain to a non-stock market oriented person the significance of this? Again, I know nothing, but it seems very strange to me. Is it not? Is it even legal? How can the SE just say, "Meh .. .today we're going to skip trading on this stock - as though it doesn't exist." ' Scratching head. ' I don't get it. What are the ramifictions? Thanks.
I'm free falling somewhere out there.
Daaaaaannnggg!
Rigged.
Die bitch
People have tried but it's artificially propped up, no way should it have hit a new ATH after banning the user who generated over half of their traffic (seriously, that many people were coming there just to read Trump's tweets.)
Could the company be folding????
I believe Twatter is in decline would love to see it gone for good, never been an Twatter addict.
I've always thought it was really stupid, like high schoolers
Normal.
...what's that word i'm lookin for ...manipulation ?
One hour. 9:53 - 10:55 EST. This is an unnecessary sticky several hours after it happened.
