I'm in IT and... nothing I learned in college helped me. I had a side biz thru college that I learned more thru that eventually got me my first job. I'd much rather hire someone just out of HS and train them in best practices and someone eager to learn than someone who spent four years partying thru college (there are great folks in college, too, don't get me wrong).

I'm laughing at my former friends from college (all lefties) who undoubtedly voted for Biden, probably hoping for daddy government to take away all their debt because of the terrible degrees they chose. Meanwhile I'm doing great, paying off my debt in only 2.5 years after graduation because I lived frugally and put every extra penny I had towards my debt. Thankfully mine was not as high as theirs, scholarships really do help, but also I didn't make the stupid decision to go into "higher education" for even more debt and wasted time. They're all around $80,000 in debt now, and all I have to pay is my regular bills. I'm having a keking good time.
