IMO. . .cutting loose about 50 to 100 indictments would be a great plot twist to the movie! There would be some squealing!
I can imagine a TV show broadcasted on every channel everywhere, with a lottery machine where you spin it around, get some kids to take out a ball, and then show the number to everyone.

Lets take a look." says the jovial host (Maybe Mel Gibson or Ricky Gervais can do this), and then in the back there are boards with curtains drawn in front of each. Focus on the one that says "62" and then with great fan fare, you draw the curtain - and you will see the biggest crime summarised there.
Now comes the phone in session where people can phone in and take a guess as to who it is. The first person to guess it right will gets some asset siezed from that person. Now they will show all the assets siezed from this criminal and have a segment talking about the value and how many people they killed to earn all that, etc.

Durham will indict those in FBI who are guilty, and at that point they will have to resign or get fired. Then Durham's team will prosecute - just like Meuller did with Manafort for example.

Durham has the ability to prosecute independant of the rest of DOJ, just like Meuller did. Also, once the people are indicted, they would resign / be fired. The rest of the FBI/DOJ will then have to co-operate with the prosecution, unless they want to be targeted as well.
However, most of these indictments Durham is dropping right now are not aimed just at the targets of these indictments. Each indictment opens up a pathway to target higher ups.
I have a strong feeling this Durham stuff will drag out until the 2022 elections then just fizzle out.

Each indictment and the associated document dump opens up new targets. It also opens up information related to previous cases that was not available. The targets are not themselves the focal point, but rather expanding to higher ups.
