They are cool and cute when they are not invading and destroying your property and terrorizing, killing neighborhood pets, potentionally infecting them with disease. One racoon is cute, a pack of 20 are a menace of large destructive rodents..
Yeah they can be very destructive. While this is very cute, I worry because things like this get people to try to treat wild animals as pets.
It reminds me of the time the people tried to take the buffalo calf in Yellowstone
"Last week in Yellowstone National Park, visitors were cited for placing a newborn bison calf in their vehicle and transporting it to a park facility because of their misplaced concern for the animal's welfare. In terms of human safety, this was a dangerous activity because adult animals are very protective of their young and will act aggressively to defend them. In addition, interference by people can cause mothers to reject their offspring. In this case, park rangers tried repeatedly to reunite the newborn bison calf with the herd. These efforts failed. The bison calf was later euthanized because it was abandoned and causing a dangerous situation by continually approaching people and cars along the roadway."
Yes, I read this story, very sad. Many people sincerely want to help, and to be seen "heroes', while causing more harm. It's plebbit-tier narcissism to attempt to be the hero instead of stepping back and letting wildlife experts do what they are professionally trained to do.
Yeah this last summer during the drought we had here I had a shallow planter of water I kept full of fresh water for the squirrels and the birds, and my neighbor has a feeder she keeps full of food for them, I also watered my lawn and trees so the earthworms would come up for the birds to eat. There are things you can do to help wildlife and still let the wildlife be wild.
So when wild rodents are invading and destroying your home, you should just let it go? I have a feeling you don't live somewhere where this is an issue. Rats are wildlife, too, are you ok with rats taking over your apartment/condo? Thousands of rats shitting all over, chewing through your wiring and walls, crawling all over your children and pets, biting them and infecting them with disease? That should be fine with you, just wildlife being wild, right? I'd be happy to send you a pair, so you can have a few thousand around in a few months and experience the joys of wildlife just being wild in your home. I'll make you a deal, I will let wildlife destroy my home and send you the yearly bill for the tens of thousands of dollars in damages. Sounds good? You are obtuse, get a clue, u/SassyLass..
Their shit is the most foul and they do it territorially, in the most blatant areas. And you're right, nothing seems to deter them. I have other animals so can't use toxic chemicals outdoors, but peppermint oils, wolf urine, etc, just don't work. I believe someone else in my neighborhood dealt with them via yourbl Plan B and thank them for it, so I didn't have to. There was a piece of wood on the bottom of my deck doors that had become loose and fallen off, and I had a pack at the door every night, around 3am, when my pets woke me up, clawing though the cardboard used to cover the opening until fixed. They have little fear in packs and I was very concerned they were going to make it through and invade my home because they smelled food inside. Fuck Trash Pandas, they are a menace even in metro areas, but so much worse in rural ones. They are cute (or I used to think), but the only people who think they are sweet and harmless are those who never had to deal with them. Ask them after they injure or kill their beloved pets or cause thousands in property damage.
My favorite neighborhood cat fought off a fox the size of a German shepherd a few winters ago. This cat is fearless. She is getting older and I know I will be crushed when she is gone.I can't even leave food out for her unless dhe is there because it will attract the racoons.
We have rare woodpeckers who love the cedar on our house. What they did was create openings for squirrels to take over the attic. They are in cohoots! That has been secured, but it is ongoing and the wood will need to be replaced at great cost in the spring.. I love wildlife and contribute to wildlife preservation, but I won't allow "cute" rodents to destroy my home.
Hrmm. Yes. You can really feel the enthusiasm of the artist. Just look at the movement of the paw along the canvas. It exudes chaos, as though it were painted by some rodent. I'll take it for a bajillion raccooncoins.
He's so proud of his work. Cuteness!
Yes he surely is, isnβt he? This raccoon has talent compared to Hunter who has none. Love the happiness he exudes afterwards.
looks like a lady racoon to me
Absolutely!! Showing pride and joy! πΈ
That face π

I live just outside Yellowstone. I get a few laughs every year from people who want a selfie standing next to a buffalo.

I just mean as an animal. They are badass. Smart. Resourceful, when they need to fight, ferocious. Raccoon Kai.

It will hang in a place of honor in Raccoon City!
Raccoon is better looking and paws down better artist than Hunter
Comms? (trash) hunters become the hunted (hunter biden)?
Comms was the first thing I thought of too.
Joe Biden doesn't like coons
3rd picture makes me think of, βDoes somebody need a hug?β
But does this raccoon send 10% to the big guy?
I agree, but your money is likely being used to pay for it.
Well, least they're both bandits?
Absolutely adorable....
ππππππ
Dresses like Hunter, too.
Thatβs so cute Rocket is so proud!
Oh man! He's great! Way better than Biden
Is that you,... Britney?
