Here's a scientific paper showing that they have isolated, read through the genome, and then made it available publicly for any other scientists to study and detect changes such as variants. This paper is about isolating and characterizing the original strain of covid.

What can I tell you. CDC have under foi, request say they don't have an isolate..of this Sars 2 coronavirus or any other...there is a very large reward for anyone who ca produce an isolate.
