Any pharmacy that denies a valid prescription for any reason (outside of outright fraud) should be charged with practicing medicine without a license and shut down immediately.

No surprise, isn't Walmart majorly owned by China's CCP?
I don't think they own Walmart, but Walmart gets probably 90% or more of the stuff they sell from China.
yes! don't buy shit from walrusmart that is made in china..put that crap back on the shelves! send them a message! if we keep eating their slop, they'll keep cooking it!
I avoid that place like the plague.
it is the Walton family that is the major shareholders in Walmart. Most are Clinton supports that supported him for governor in Arkansas.
I seem to recall that Bed Bath and Beyond quit selling My Pillow, made in the U.S.A., was boycotted, can't get their product from China reliably, and is shutting down 37 stores.
How's that plan sound to you, Walfart?
I just tried to fill an Ivermectin prescription at my local Walmart and was told it was corporate policy to not fill any Ivermectin prescriptions for covid because it wasn't approved for covid. I replied that doctors prescribe off label all the time and this is atrocious and Walmart is contributing to needless deaths! Of couse she was just doing her job!
Something tells me that a few billion dollar lawsuits are gonna take care of some of these mega companies we all hate. This is practicing medicine without a license.
I would think the only defense to this is if their company policy to decline to fill all prescriptions for off label use, which I doubt it is
One off label use is shoving the prescription bottle up their asses.
Make a complaint to the board of pharmacy they are required to look into. Ask them if the pharmacy fills prescriptions for “trans” medicine which are used off label
Who is the Pharmacist to argue what the Rx is for? He job is NOT TO diagnose nor prescribe medication
The Pharmacist is to dispense the Rx, and serve as a double-check against drug interactions that may occur
Absolutely!
exactly
They do it all the time. Unfortunately, they legally have the power to do so which is why our doctors say do not use Walgreens. And sometimes Walmart depending on which town. But bet the ivermectin policy is in fact a Walmart practice. And yes I too have heard they are largely owned by China. When my ex worked at the paper mill yrs ago I recall a Chinese company had come in and bought out or bought part of the well known company. And it’s names since have never implied Chinese ownership!
Don't tell them it's for treating covid. Tell them it's for deworming yourself, just like millions have done for decades now. Same goes for the people that are getting shut down for giving out free vitamin C, etc. Just don't say it's for treating covid. Say it's for vitamin C deficiency and they have nothing on you.
Agreed, undine. Bring them down.
Indeed WTG PATRIOT
Don’t get your hopes up. Pharmacists reserve the legal right to deny any prescription for any reason. Fear of misuse, abuse, even personal morality issues with the med in question; it doesn’t matter all reasons and more are legal and valid. The odds of this going anywhere are about the same as me walking on water.
Source- worked as a pharm tech years ago in college
Depends on the state in which the refusal happens how it is handled. It is complicated and can cost the pharmacy lots of money. The broad approach is they can refuse for false, fraudulent or unlawful scripts and moral objections. Some states require the pharmacists to refer the patient to another pharmacy that will fill the prescription when a religious objection arises.
The catch 22 involves the ADA. If the patient involved is covered under the ADA. So, in ADA cases, does the pharmacist’s right to decline to provide a legally prescribed medication go out the window?
Rite Aid, Walgreens, and CVS have already paid big fines for not filling a script for a person that fell under the ADA. The answer is yes in most cases. Just a note everyone on Medicare disability and who are on Medicare are in that protected group as well. So it depends.
True. However, several years ago Walmart got in trouble for Pharmacists refusing to fill Plan B. Essentially, it went to court and Walmart/Pharmacist were supposed to get medicine to patient bc it was a valid script.
The law dont mean shit. Its how the judge rules.
That's the way
You forgot executed...
If everyone who was denied either an Ivermectin or HCQ prescription sued, Walmart would be broker for going woker.
This needs legislation to fix unfortunately. Arizona is introducing some legislation to allow ivermectin prescriptions.
Your head line says , "Walmart sued" is there a law suit?
Good. Always look for the sauce.
should also go after the licenses of the individual pharmacists.
Yup just told my mom this morning
THIS IS THE WAY! We’re not gonna take it anymore!
And murder
In shithole canada the doctor will have his medical licence pulled when the pharmacy seizes the script and reports him to the government. It has happened a few times and doctors would not write a script for it if you held a gun on them.
They’re going to have to sell it OTC in NH soon LOL
I wonder if 'friends' in NH can mail it to us out here in California?
China mart
Amen!
Quite Right.
Choose a better pharmacy and never go back. Don't go back to Wal-Mart for anything except to use the bathroom. Every interaction should be a negative until they go away like Woolworths and Kmart.
Dont forget walmart owns service drug
