Over half the store empty. Everyone is frantic. It's packed....
Talk to multiple employees, they said trucks aren't showing.
Said for at this particular store will mostly be gone by end of the day.
Just forwarding my experience.
Please add yours if you have gone today
I have a student (college level) who told me last week in class that she had worked for Target. About a year or so ago, there was a shortage of toilet paper and hand sanitizer in the store. But she said there were plenty in the back area warehouse section of the store. The employees were told to not put it out. But employees could buy them. Then she got sort of quiet because she realized she had let that info out. This could explain which stores have shortages.
Same with my daughter working at Walmart in Bowling Green, Ky. Even though there was plenty in back, they were told not to put it out. And I am wondering if the storage units outside are full of supplies that they wont put out. I have seen those along side a few Walmarts in 2 diff counties
Shortages in certain chain stores really does seem to point out the ones that are part of the DS.
This theory also makes sense when considering shortages for product that have nothing to do with the Coof, like toilet paper.
That was just the deep state's childish way of insulting us. They are victims of arrested development.
The big box stores around me have been cleaned and reorganized. It would make a lot of sense to do this work while shelves have less merchandise. Just an idea.
Holding back inventory, until the price rises.
What? I don’t understand Any of that.
Thanks for ELI5'ing it to that fren
REM?
REM
Haha, yep. That too.
Where in the country are you seeing this?
Branson West MO
Thanks!
I'm 40 minutes north of you, everything was normal at our wally this morning.
Doesn't make any sense.
Could just be it hit this specific earlier due to routes.
From the sounds of it, it the trucks stopped coming today.
Maybe I went though before they were to hit. Guess I'll see tomorrow what's up.
In Mo too eastern half, no problems on Saturday but the usual partially empty shelves in certain areas of the store. Food was decently stocked.
Was also curious. Have been seeing these posts for months, but haven't seen it anywhere yet. I live in the North East and travel frequently (by car) to the mid-West and the South, and haven't seen it happen anywhere.
I'm sure it's been happening, since it's been corroborated by a lot of people, but I am curious how isolated these instances would be if graphed on a map.
If you need to get supplies like TP, paper towels, etc... that might be in short supply at the stores due to panic buying... try a different trick.
ORDER ONLINE FOR STORE PICKUP.
Often, the stores only put out new inventory at night. However, it comes in during the day and the unpackage things in the warehouse. If you order online for store pickup, the employees can pick the inventory you requested from the warehouse to fill your order.
I found last time there was a run on stores, it was far easier and more effective to do it this way. Beats fighting the crowds... and my order gets filled if they have it available (even if it's not on the shelves yet).
Central Indiana. Around Indy, west. Went to Kroger. Fully stocked, more so than previous weeks / months. Which honestly seems rather odd.
Just south of you, stores more stocked here in the past few weeks than previous months. I don't know about walmart, don't shop there.
Yes, it's like certain items that were out of stock for months are now being stocked.
Yes, something just seems odd. Things were at a stalemate, then boom, the store are overflowing around me. All I can say is I am grateful and pray it say this way.
Everything you have and own was probably brought via truck - if ALL the truckers really decided to protest -- within 2-3 days you'd see a shit storm the likes nobodys ever seen - sure you'll have shortages here and there plus gouged prices -- but just remember, you shoulda been stocking up years, months, weeks ago
Just drove from NJ to Florida and back again. Truck traffic on I95 seemed totally normal. Just my observation.
Where is this happening at? Need more details about this.
Was at Walmart about a week ago and everything seemed normal. But was at grocery store (Publix) yesterday and everything was pretty stocked, at least down the isles I went down. Even had some (not a bunch but some) cream cheese this time.
We try to slowly stock up on things. Like whenever we go to the store we just pick up an extra few things that we don't necessarily need at the moment just to stock up. That way we aren't grabbing a bunch at one time & clearing the shelves, leaving things for others who need them.
Edit to add that I'm in Alabama, not MO.
Gotcha. Thanks.
It was stocked last week here too.
There's a storm coming too. Tomorrow it's supposed to move in, calling for a mix and then snow. We just had a decent sized snow storm for us a few weeks ago so maybe that's part of the frantic pace. Were the bread, eggs and milk empty?
Mostly random select stuff. I had bread and eggs.
It's weird.
Hey OP, I was in your state a few weeks back just browsing around from east to west for a few days and noticed that this whole charades seemed it has taken a toll on the state. I traveled highway 60, maybe it's been like that, I don't know. I wish the best for you and know Indiana is stocked at the moment if you need something. 👍
Thanks fren
Just making the conversion to the FEMA camp. Nothing to see here, move along.
I actually mentioned that to someone else earlier...
Good. Bye bye China?
in canada castro would freeze their bank accounts and have them arrested and charged with mischief lol
My WM is more stocked then it has been in 2 years. Weird.
The problem with people predicting the end of the world on a particular “date” neglect to remember time zones. It’s no longer 2/22/22 for some parts of the world. I believe we are in the end times, but won’t guess it’s a particular day. Also… lol… going to the store to buy supplies isn’t going to save you from the rapture.
Rant over. :)
The rapture.
I heard it would be the baddies who vanish.
When you think about it, someone who has been multiply jabbed does indeed have an on/off switch.
They could just broadcast the correct frequency and...
Poof!
Nothing but ashes there where a person once stood.
Shelves are stocked out here: Utah
Thanks
I am seeing shortages in some items such as frozen chicken breasts. A good friend who works stocking shelves at Safeway said they are not getting a lot of things in that they had ordered. Better stock up on stuff you can’t live without.
Exactly
I've recently ordered my chicken and steaks from goodranchers.com. I haven't received my order yet so I can't speak to the quality but Don Jr put out a small plug on Telegram so I thought we'd give them a try. Maybe someone else here can chime in.
I was in a WM last week and there were very noticeably empty shelves in seemingly random places.
But one thing that was cleaned out was lunch meat. Not a single package of lunch meat in the entire store.
Same here.
Half of it was gone. The rest 10 bucks a pound
Same in DC/MD area. Grocer had no lunchmeat at all so I stocked up on canned chix, tuna, ham, hash, spam.
Check out Keystone canned meats. A little more cost but I noticed expiration dates way beyond other canned meats.
Thanks for the tip on the Keystone meats, I'll check them out.
It would make sense if there is a US Freedom drive by the truckers.
Mine was too. Till today.
I wouldnt be that worried except for what the employees said.
Where are you? US? What state if so?
SW MO
Ice storm coming tommorow, they always sell out of milk and bread.....
For whatever reason, all this staple items were in stock.
It was tons of other random stuff that wasn't.
Ie, swathes of the Mexican isle
Weird I just got back from the store seemed very normal
Marshfield, Missouri, shelves pretty much normal.
I was in Branson West MO.
Hello neighbor
Small town in Tuttle Oklahoma, went to wally yesterday and a lot of the meat section empty. Almost all chicken was gone etc. Noticing the last 2 weeks that some items not being restocked or shelves slowly become bare ie.. cat food, dog food
We get our dog food at the petstore, and having a hard time finding the brand of dog food we get these days. Our pups can't have chicken, turkey or beef, so our options are limited as it is. And it's not like it's cheap either and we have two large breed dogs.
I just ordered $200 worth of dog food from Chewy. I am picky about ingredients since 1 of my dogs developed/died of mast cell tumors my vet said from grains (GMO) in the food. When ordering on line you can study each brand ingredients ahead of time.
We were feeding ours grain free for years, now our senior dog has a heart condition and when I read up more on it I noticed that it’s brought on by feeding grain free food. So now that they have taken the grain out of most dog food it’s hard to find ones with grain and in the flavor/protein needed. Also read people commenting on social media to start feeding dogs with her condition food with grains. Our boxer ate grain free limited ingredient food and still got cancer and died. So who knows what to believe anymore. We spend usually over $50 a bag. What brand & kind of dog food do you buy, if you don’t mind me asking? We were feeding ours Blue Buffalo but in the last year or so we switch to Simply Nourish. Right now it’s getting harder to get the ones we need. Been looking for an alternative but it’s not easy to find a good food that has the protein our pups can eat without allergy.
I use Purina One sensitive skin and stomach recommended by my vet. I used to give Blue Buffalo but they didnt care for it much. I should say though I give them fresh fruit and vegetables for snacks which they love and I think a healthier choice for a treat.
We give ours fresh carrots. I use to give the younger pup bananas (fresh & frozen), but he stopped liking them. He use to eat little pieces of apples & blueberries too but same as bananas he stopped liking them, guess as he went from puppy stage to adult (mind you he is only 3 yrs old) he decided he didn't want them anymore. Our senior dog has never like fruit, but she will snack on a carrot, lol. You can't say CHEESE or crinkle a cheese bag without the younger one come running in the kitchen, lol. It's like his crack! haha. Even if you can get it out without making a noise he literally can smell it from the other room and come to investigate. He's too damn cute for my own good, I can tell you. And Lord the boy is smart! I thought our senior girl was smart, he picks things up faster than she ever did. Typically all our male dogs were not as smart or quick to learn, so was surprised what a fast learner he is, and so ready to learn too.
