Do you need a miracle?
This weekend I remember my first miracle.
Many years ago I was flying in a small plane with my friend Doug who was the pilot. It was after midnight and it had just rained. We were attempting to land in the city of Worthington. The airport was covered with a thick blanket of fog. No one was at this small airport to give us direction.
We lowered our plane into the fog to circle and look for the airport. We did this three times and found nothing. It was like flying into a solid white wall. When there is no visual reference you can get vertigo in a matter of a few minutes. One can be flying sideways or upside down and not even realize it.
Doug was worried. He apologized for taking off in the first place. We should not have been flying in such weather. I felt calm and told Doug that God had a plan for our lives and we would live to effect the lives of others in a positive way.
A fourth time we descended into the fog to look. We were so low we buzzed a house. I could see the outline of the shingles. Then we crossed the runway. I thought, "We are actually going to make it!" Doug banked the plane to the left. Once we completed the turn we would be lined up to land.
In the turn we were again flying into the fog. We looked for the lights of the runway. I looked over at Doug. He had blacked out. I starred at the controls. I had no idea how to land this thing.
I don't remember the impact. My next memory was waking up still in my seat. However my seat had moved. It was now where the right wing used to be. The door to the plane was open in front of me. I sat right behind it with my feet sticking straight out underneath it and into a fleshly planted corn field. I was fine.
Both wings and the engine were gone. Doug's seat too had separated from the floor and he was laying sideways on the cockpit floor. He was in shock. He knew his name, mine, and nothing else.
We spent the night in the hospital and left in the morning. Just before leaving my friend, Karen called. She and her husband, Loren were driving while we were flying. She had been asleep and woke up having dreamt that Doug and I were unable to find the airport in heavy fog and land. They stopped the car and prayed for us.
Do you need a miracle? You can have one. You can have more than one. I have witnessed many in my life. Do you know someone who does? You can manifest a miracle for others just as Loren and Karen did. Miracles do happen.
Do you need a miracle?
The power of faith. Wonderful recounting.
I was injured when I was 24. Constant back pain. No doctors that wanted to help. At 27 I prayed to God, as sincerely as I ever could. I told him I can't continue like this and asked him to heal me. I went to bed, and woke up nearly pain free. I'm 36 now and that particular pain never came back.
That's amazing. I've had miracles I only recognized years later. The Footprints poem really spoke to me the first time I read it. It's so true. God bless, fren!
Wow, amazing. God does work in strange and amazing ways!
I could use a miracle, truly could, but feel too selfish even asking since I know so many are worse off than me? Instead, I come to the boards every day knowing nothing can stop what is coming and it'll be Biblical, so... when that day finally arrives... it'll be a miracle for us all.
God's power is not used up by the granting of miracles to others. Love your neighbor as thyself also means that if you would pray for your neighbor, but won't pray for yourself, that you should love yourself more than you do, as God loves you and your neighbor equally. Don't hesitate to bring him all your cares.
John 15:7
“If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.”
God's power is not limited.
Dear fren, it is NOT selfish, because as soon as you will receive the miracle and feeling really well again with everything in your life, you will inspire others with this story and also be able to be a force of Go(o)d for everybody else.
God bless and protect you, may the Almighty God and Jesus Christ send you that miracle you need as blessing for everyone else.
Easter is the right time for a renewal of our lives!
If you receive the miracle and use it for God's glory it is for God's glory not your own.
Years ago, I used to manage a gas station. This meant I needed to wake up really early, typically around 4am, to open my store each morning. One night, around midnight, I was woken up by the Holy Spirit and given the strongest gut feeling that I needed to get in my truck and start driving (right tf now). So, I did. I'm not a brilliant man, but even in my younger years, I knew better than to ignore this.
As I made my way down the road, a friend of mine called me and said he couldn't sleep, asking if I wanted to go for a drive. As it happened, I was driving by his house and told him to come out and get into the truck. Together, we started down the road, further out into the county. Eventually, it started to get obvious where we were going. We were heading to the nearby National Forest.
I want to make it clear, I hated this forest. It was creepy. I'd had multiple bad experiences ranging from being run off the road to seeing people following me through the trees while I was hiking. But, that's where we needed to go, so we did. Down this long, winding road for miles and miles into the deep parts of this ugly, dark forest.
Suddenly, my headlights revealed a truck stuck in a mud hole, with two teenage boys that were soaked head to toe trying to figure out how to free themselves. We stopped, got out, calmed them down, and distributed lights. I've always had a thing for flashlights. I had several. We joked that I was prepared perfectly for this situation.
After we determined that my truck and tow straps weren't going to get their truck out, I tried to get cell service and couldn't. Fortunately, my buddy both had cell service and had a family friend who had a tow truck. It was like we were both prepared perfectly for this situation.
While we waited for Mr Jim to get up and head our way, we had a smoke (I since kicked the habit), and it turned out I smoked the same weird, obscure brand that these boys did. Odd coincidence. We know about coincidences on this board. During our smoke break, those little hairs on our necks started standing up, and we realized we were hearing things in the woods. Not animals. Footsteps and voices. A lot of them. They were getting close.
This forest had a series of stories from before my time about a clan of people who used to kidnap people, do horrible things, leave signs of Satanic sacrifices, etc. Occasionally, there would be rumors about something happening, a missing person, or you'd find a tree down across the road and your instincts would scream to turn around and get out of there. Fortunately, I had a weapons permit and a revolver. I fired a shot into the dirt. The voices went quiet and the footsteps became loud crashes moving away from us in all directions. It was like I was prepared perfectly for this situation.
Mr Jim arrived and had no issues getting those boys and their truck out of that mud hole and out of that forest. We followed them out in my truck. I dropped my buddy off, and I went home. It was seriously late. I think I caught maybe an hour of sleep, but I felt like I'd had the best night's sleep of my life that night.
I don't know who prayed for those boys that night, but someone did, and I'm real glad. When you wake up, figure out why. When God says go, Go.
Great job! Glad you were there in time to save those kids.
Jesus, your story here messed with me the most out of all of them here, mainly for the footsteps at the end.
I've read way too many police cases of what goes on in forests, and some of the people out there, and you were so blessed to be prepared.
Thank you for sharing that experience, fren. I had something similar happen to me years ago. I had picked up my car from the shop and was on my way home. The person who drove me over was in front of me on the drive back (and missed the whole thing!). It was winter and it had snowed. My car at the time was rear-wheel drive and I hit an icy patch going around a slight bend and I lost control. On the other side of the road was a car lot. Along the front of it was a series of metal posts connected with a chain, as a sort of fence. The only break in it was the driveway into the lot.
Even before I started to slide, I saw a red sports car coming towards me that caught my eye because of the bright red color against the white snow. By the time I slid into the oncoming lane, that red car was so close to me that I thought there is absolutely no way this guy is going to miss me. I'm looking smack dab at his headlights as the car is coming straight at me. There was nothing I could do.
Well, somehow that red car that was practically on top of me, missed me completely. My car slid right across the road and into the one and only spot that wasn't a fence -- that driveway into the lot. I was still out of control when I slid into the car lot. There was a huge pile of snow from when the owner of the lot had cleared it. The pile of snow is what stopped my car.
I missed hitting absolutely everything in my path and there wasn't so much as a scratch on the car. Once my rattled nerves had calmed down, I maneuvered my way out of the snow pile and drove the rest of the way home. To this day, I don't know how that red car made it safely past me. It seemed impossible for him to have missed me.
I've heard people talk about jumping timelines (like the Mandela Effect) , and I have to wonder if that didn't happen to me on that day. I guess Someone was looking out for me.
I had somewhat similar experience. Driving right after a snowstorm. On a four lane highway with a grassy divider. My car skidded and made a left turn into the opposite side of the highway. As I plowed through the snow on the median, totally out of control I did a 180 degree turn. During the turn I couldn't see anything but snow as I went through it. I came out, in the opposite direction heading the correct way, in an actual lane with no other cars near me. During the blinded part I was totally calm and unworried.
Great story. Thank you for sharing that. God is still in the miracle business.
God loves you everyday i too have a friend named Doug.
This is amazing
Wow!
OP this is the most powerful post of the day.
Thank you for the reminder of the power each one of us has.

My wife has been suffering from Hashimoto AutoImmune Disease for 9 years and NO docs seem to care or simply don’t know what to do. Her hormones are off and her Chronic Fatigue is literally killing her. To make matters worse, in 2019 she got sick from what seemed to be the typical stomach bug and 2 days later completely lost all functionality in her left ear (with the exception of severe tinnitus) and now her right ear is gradually going. It’s been FAR too long like this. We have prayed this whole time that we either find a Endocrinologist, Nutritionist, or anybody that can help for that matter. Anything helps guys!!!
No sugar, no bread, no potatoes or rice. No starches. She will know the level of hormone she needs and could probably teach doctors how to prescribe. She needs to be the beverage queen. Soups are good! Carnivore diet. Meat cheese eggs. Keep the body alkaline. Vinegar. Swig it!
Idk what it’s called. A negative diet? Pull back on everything and then find out what works. Example: chocolate birthday cake slice put me down for two and a half days.
Hashimo are way sensitive to sugar and starches. Focus on protein.
I have Hashimoto's as well. Diagnosed nearly 2 years ago. But it took me 10 years to find someone who would listen to me! :-( Diet is SUPER important, to keep the inflammation down. Jmricht is right. Keto/carnivore diet. And drink lots of water! Get a water filter/pitcher that alkalinzes your water. I found a great one on Amazon for under $40. Lemon in your water is great, too. And raw apple cider vinegar, preferably organic. Take a tablespoon or so in the morning and evening.
YOU CAN HAVE "NORMAL" THYROID LEVELS AND STILL HAVE HASHIMOTO'S! I can't stress this enough. Most endocrinologists don't even recognize Hashi's as an autoimmune disorder, let alone treat it. :-( Your wife needs to be on BRAND NAME Synthroid, not the generic. TSH levels should be between 1-2.
Mental/emotional stress can bring on Hashii flare-ups. I finally decided that my health is more important, and I made several changes both at work and at home to alleviate stress. Also, your emotional support is so very needed. Hashimoto's is a misunderstood disease, and it's hard to explain the pain flares all through your body, the crippling fatigue, the brain fog that accompanies your everyday existence. Be patient. It sounds like you're already trying to help her, which is wonderful. It's a difficult condition to manage.
Where do you live? Keep us updated, and I will keep you and your wife in my prayers. May I have her first name? She will feel SO much better if she gets on Synthroid, changes her diet, and alleviates stress.
God bless both of you!
26 years in. My advice, if you go up a dose, don’t go down. Will cause sadness, big time.
Synthroid?
You’re on it for life. Pretty much.
Yep.
Yes. Generic or name brand. I learned they are one molecule different from each other, so stick with one or the other. If you’re still having brain fog, that’s not normal. Enlarged heart/palpitations, not normal. Up the dose if that’s still happening.
My practitioner won't prescribe anything but name brand Synthroid. I started on 75 mcg and then bumped to 100mcg. TSH is 1.3 and feel great. Brain fog, pain, etc was before I went on meds.
That’s cool. Happy for you. Can relate trying to convince the doctors. She did a full panel, I said go ahead. Lol.

Ok, I’m going to say it. I’ve been dosing ivermectin and it’s helping.
Hashimoto doesn’t go away. I’ve tried to back off of Synthroid and it doesn’t work.
This was my senior thesis. Hashimotos.
Tinnitus. Yes. Ivermectin is helping my ear nose throat thing.
Keep in contact, please. I will help with any questions she may have. Quality of life is kind of a big deal.
Thank you. I WILL!
How has ivermectin helped you with Hashi's? Thanks for all your info.
Ear nose throat problems have gone away. I don’t think it has anything to do with hashimotos.
Oh ok. Hubby is having major sinus problems. I finally convinced him to take IVM. Too soon to tell yet if it's helping.
We honestly just need the right set of panels or tests, or whatever, to get the ball rolling. She’s not even on any meds
I remember crying in relief getting medication. If she’s been diagnosed, start at .25 mmg. That’s the lowest dose.
Yes! Me too.
What's her tsh ‽ have they tried giving t3 in combo? Women in childbearing years levels should be between 1 -2. Anything over that makes me feel like shit and sleep all day. Fi d a doc that will get her in that range
Blood test for TSH, T3 and T4. How is she diagnosed and not medicated? Her thyroid does not work. Her immune system killed it. It’s genetic. Just know your wife’s immune system is strong as f.
If she doesn’t get medication, she will go into or is probably in hibernation like a bear.
Look into Stop the Thyroid Madness. It saved my life.
I am afraid you are not going to get much help from allopathic medicine - especially endocrinologists. My Hashimoto's was triggered almost 40 years ago from a car accident and flu vaxxines. Usually any autoimmune disorder has a trigger event of some kind about 2 years prior to symptoms being severe enough in order to seek medical attention. It took almost 20 years to finally get mine diagnosed. Antibody levels were off the charts. It has been a ride - and not necessarily a fun one. I have CFS as well.
Any autoimmune disorder is a crap shoot. It is something that will probably never be fixed, but it can be managed. It will take some effort and cannot be fixed with medications. There are lots of good suggestions already on this thread. Diet is huge. Sugar is a no no. Thyroid levels will have to be checked on a regular basis and adjusted accordingly. Do not buy into the crap that a TSH level over 2 is normal. If someone is symptomatic with a level of 2, that is not normal for them. T3 also has to be monitored. Some people, such as myself, do not convert T4 to T3 well. Therefore, I also have to supplement T3. Not only do I not convert well, but I also have to take supplements to encourage uptake of T3.
Autoimmune thyroid is unstable. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. (Had several arguments with docs over this one.) So be prepared for the changes if that happens. Remember, autoimmune conditions can be triggered - so keep track of those triggers. I have not seen anyone on this thread mention EMF. That was a big one for me - especially with the CFS. I have no wifi in my house. The phone is off when not in use. I also wear protective clothing when at home. Nothing is a cure, but it all helps.
Educate yourself. This is your best weapon. There are several great books on how to deal with this issue. However, her path to healing will be her own. You may have to try a combination a several strategies until you find what works best. Good luck.
Hi there! Fellow Hashi patient here. What is EMF?
Electro Magnetic Frequencies - microwaves and the like

Omega 3 is vital in shutting down inflammation. Regarding omega3 supplements, it’s important to have the right mixture that protects the fatty acids and helps them absorb. E.g. Udo’s Oil or Zinzino Balance Oil.
I have seen many things that can be considered miracles, when people get their fatty acids in balance.
God bless. 🙏
This story gives my heart peace
God has the most amazing dark sense of humor.
OP was forever changed, and I'd assume for the better.
Glad you're not dead, sir:).

That's a beautiful story. I genuinely gasped & got teary. Thanks for sharing.
I need so many miracles, for so many people in my life, I don’t even know how to begin asking. Their healing would be my miracle.
John 15:7
“If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.”
Ask Him. He’s here to help…
Thank you.
Great story
Beautiful and true.🙏
Wow amazing story fren. Thank you for sharing.

amen
Before I recount my (long) story, allow me first to say two things:
God saves.
God is very much alive and well.
My story is also about people getting saved, but more on a spiritual level than a physical one.
Many, many years I joined a small group from my church where we spent a few days in Mexico on a missions orientation trip. This trip was to expose us to the missionary life and to help us understand whether we felt “led” to do something like this (it’s not for most people, including me). Anyway… the second or third night we were there one of the Mexican pastors running the missionary center invited a group of us to go with him to a nearby park and evangelize. (BTW - this Mexican pastor was a no-nonsense truth-teller who feared nothing or no one; IOW, my kind of guy.). I’m not exactly sure why I decided to go, but I think it was mostly to provide a level of protection to some of the younger 20-something girls that were tagging along.
Once we got to the large park the pastor told us to split off into groups of twos and threes and to let God lead us to whatever we were supposed to do or wherever we were to supposed to go. I joined up with this guy and his girlfriend and within a few minutes they almost got arrested by a young undercover Mexican cop working the park who thought they were selling drugs. After a quick talk with the cop (who spoke perfect English) to explain what we were doing, he let my friends go and thanked us for being there. After about fifteen minutes of wandering around, though, and getting a bit bored because nothing was “happening,” the three of us headed back to the park’s center to see what else we could do, as we were thinking that tonight was nothing but a big fat failure. Boy oh boy - were we wrong about that!
As we got nearer to the Park Center we could hear one of the girls who had come with us playing the guitar. Sitting near her on another bench was the Mexican pastor who was fervently preaching the gospel to a light-skinned, small-framed, emaciated Mexican man in his early twenties who was bawling his eyes out. Since they were speaking Spanish we couldn’t understand a word they were saying but we all knew the guy was being saved by Christ. The pastor then told the young man a few more things and the guy got up and left, still crying but happy. After he was gone we asked the Pastor what had happened and he said the following:
“Cristiano is gay and earlier today he had found out that he has AIDS and his boyfriend told him to leave the house and to never come back. Cristiano said he was on his way to kill himself when he heard the guitar playing from the park and decided to listen to some music one last time before committing suicide. I could see he was very troubled so I knew I had to talk to him. And now he’s saved. I told him to go to this Christian house in town who took care of people like him.”
The three of us sat in stunned silence after hearing that story. There wasn’t a whole lot to say except to praise God.
As I said earlier - God saves. And He’s still alive and well. Don’t ever doubt or forget that to be The Truth, and that there is absolutely nothing that can defeat the honesty or simplicity of that message.
I was driving on a heavy used highway during rush hour... something happened just ahead of me, cars all around me were swerving and smashing into each other and spinning around in every direction.
Pieces of glass & taillights were hitting my car.
Time slowed down and everything was choppy like when the 6million dollar man was running.
My car skillfully missed everything coming at me. In my rear view mirror I was the ONLY car that exited the mess. I was alone on the highway until my exit.
I thanked God, but quickly forgot about it, because I was OK and life moved on. And I just assumed my brain went into panic mode that's why everything was in slow motion & choppy. That memory keeps coming back to me.
Wow He changed friggin TIME for me and guided me out of that mess. My survival skills suck in stitu's like this, none of it was me, it was all Him.
There's been other times He's saved me all through my life too. Please forgive me for not being as grateful as I should've been.
Looking back, the quick Thank you and a heartfelt "Phew!" just doesn't seem like enough gratitude offered.
I promise to be better, and I understand He doesn't NEED me awake here & now, He WANTS me awake here & now. I will treat this as a Gift and not a burden.
Not knowing what's coming next is ok. He wins, always. And I'm so grateful, humbled & awestruck that He even knows I'm here. ❤️
GOD is soooooo good, ALL THE TIME!
Very impactful. Thank you for sharing!
Was he okay afterwards?
This seems appropriate.
Thank you for this encouraging experience. Wow!
