No. CONgress passed a bad law that allocates funds to the states that they can use for red flag laws. Big difference, and it also buys us a little time. I don't like it at all (and am embarrassed that one of my senators is Cornyn and made it possible). Biden also has to sign it before it becomes law, or 11 days have to pass with CONgress still in session. If he doesn't sign it and CONgress adjourns it has to be taken up and re-passed when they come back from vacation.
That said, if this is now the start of the storm I'm not worried about this law at the moment. I'm pretty sure "the plan" will take care of stuff like this. Especially if Biden doesn't sign the bill, or if he ends up arrested and convicted for stealing the election. Fraud vitiates everything.
