I think he found out that in some blue states, if the fed drops their portion of the tax the state's portion will increase up to where the fed tax was. So, zero savings for blue state drivers!

Actually, the gasoline refineries are lucky to make 25-cents per gallon of gasoline. Since oil is over $100 per barrel, after labor, energy and overhead costs, that's only about a 15% profit margin.
I suppose Biden wants the refineries to refine gasoline for free?
Gas stations also don't make much of a profit on the gasoline. Just a rough guess, but I'd be surprised if they make over 20-cents per gallon in profit. I guess gas stations could cut back to zero profit to appease Biden.
The single biggest thing Biden can do is to re-open the off-shore drilling, put the EPA on a leash, start approving refinery and chemical plant expansions...and green light the Keystone Pipeline. If we can get oil prices back below $60 per barrel, consumers could afford gasoline again.
Why would they want to fix the problem they created?

Guess the smartest President, ever, has not heard about supply and demand economics. When he begins sending our strategic oil reserves overseas, their will be a huge demand for gasoline. What he needs to do is begin drilling. Drill on every available hunk of land in this country. Once our streets are flooded with oil can we begin to reduce the amount of oil pumped, but until then keep pumping and I bet the economy will improve so much that prices will begin to plummet. Stupid lefties and their "Make America Last" stance is what is killing our great way of life.

I agree with what you said. It's not only about fixing, it's also about ensuring this never happens again. Sadly it looks like the only way to do that is to put all the cards on the table and let us see how bad things can get. I'm just so glad I have Christ. Truly I couldnt image going through it with out him. I pray the world says no more and turns to him. That's the only way!!
I'd love the FR to be gone, but................We Conservative Patriots only sit on our hands, become keyboard warriors, and let the drum beat of despotism continue. We have lost our way of punching someone in the nose because they did something wrong. All we've been taught is how to placate THEIR sensibilities and keep our pissed off feelings all pent up. We need to be shown what it takes to reclaim our freedom. Trump is doing a good job, but we need folks to come together with a focused agenda to knock some heads and begin stretching necks out on the streets if necessary. Maybe a good 'ole tar and feathering might be the thing to do with a local official who's not doing the right thing.

It is a highly competitive industry. If sellers are artificially lifting the price, then they must be colluding (Price Fixing), which is a crime and people go to jail.
So if they are Price Fixing, then he should start and investigation and start charging people with crimes.
They won't do that because there is no price fixing.
Here in Wisconsin, there is a law on the books (from the 30's) that requires gas station owners to charge 9.7 % more than they pay wholesale. This was to protect small mom and pop gas stations. State legislature had tried to revoke twice. Nope. We have no idea how many laws,rules, statutes affect the price we pay. And they keep it that way. My understanding is that only the brokers are profiting rn. And now, strategic reserves are being sent to Europe. Insanity
