That’s a beautiful thing to say. I’m glad you two had each other as friends. It’s always sad to see a loved one go, but I rejoice in my heart knowing where they are. With Christ Jesus, and all of His love.
I am sincerely sorry for your loss. May God’s promise of salvation through Christ Jesus be the comfort everyone who knew & loved your friend finds hope in. Amen.
As a kid, I watched my Mother waste away with bone cancer for over a year. It was horrible, but I didn't comprehend it at the time. I didn't process the grief until 25 years later.
I'm so sorry you went through that. It's such a challenge for kids. I have no memory of my grandmother - she passed when I was just 3, but I remember the day I realized she was gone. It's my earliest memory and a counselor once told me I had been searching for her my whole life. Back in those days people thought kids didn't notice - I noticed, but had no way to reconcile the loss.
I agree 100%. The veil is very thin between that dimension and this. And time is relative. It's hard for us in this fallen world, but for them, they're only gone from us for a moment before we are with them. Joy comes in the morning.
I’m sorry for your loss, but try to remember and celebrate her life! All the good times! And rest in knowing that she is in the arms of her loving Savior Jesus Christ
Yes, we had a wonderful friendship and many good times. And I know one day she will greet me when I get to Heaven and will be so excited to bring me to Jesus!
Yes! In the blink of an eye. When my mum-in-love passed a couple of years ago, she had "visitors" come to her in the days prior to her passing. She would suddenly open her eyes in surprise and smile so brightly, and then sort of shake her head and shrug her shoulders as if they were beckoning her, and she was saying she wasn't quite ready. And they were very patient with her. She'd had a lot of loss in her life by the time she was 92 - was widowed twice, once at 18 yrs of age - and we all took such great comfort in knowing they were all gathered around her to take her home to Jesus.
Not sure. It just all happened so fast, and the family was very focused on just soaking up those last moments with her. I'm not sure they even thought to ask.
I lost a lot of family as a child so I spent a lot of time at viewings (or wakes) and funerals. I also spent a lot of time in hospitals visiting many of them.
Something that has always helped me was instead of thinking of them resting in peace, I always think of them basking in His glory. I know if I were to die today and find myself in Heaven I wouldn't be doing much resting.
LOL, I agree. I'm sure she's already mastered the art of flying with the angels. My granddaughter told me tonight, as I was walking her home, that she thinks all the stars are people in Heaven, and now there is one more. Some believe we go to sleep until the resurrection, but the Word tells us "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord". I don't believe God makes us wait when our Hope is in Heaven. She served the Lord all her earthly life - I know she's already joined all the saints in Heaven in worshipping the great I AM!
My uncle passed away within 6 months of finding out he had cancer. Finished his last treatment of epoch. Died shortly after returning home.
The slow deteriorating scene (that ended up being completely pointless) was the saddest thing I’ve ever seen. I’ll be haunted about his death the rest of my life.
I am terribly sorry for your loss. I always try to be positive. It sounds like your friend at least didn’t have to suffer too long and was surrounded by those that loved her.
Thank you. It’ll take some time to get used to the idea that she’s no longer here on earth, but there’s a lot of comfort in knowing she’s with Jesus now.
Oh fren...heartbroken for the passing of your friend. 💔🙏
You speak of her grace and strength and honor her life with your remembering. No greater gift could you give your friend than to love and treasure her. When people know they are loved they can endure much.
I know you will be with your friend again in a joyous reunion. Blessings!
I think it makes you feel more vulnerable. We all accept the fact that we, most likely, will outlive our parents and our aunts and uncles, etc. but when you reach the point where it’s your peers - siblings, friends, spouses - going, it does hit differently. None of us has the guarantee of tomorrow, but we have the assurance of what comes next.
Sending hugs & comfort & prayers to You & all of her Family & friends ~

God the Father, please send your love, comfort & Holy Spirit to those who have lost a friend & Family member, & bring them peace in knowing that she is with You, now.
I really don't know. I'm not even sure the family knows. It took her so fast, which was a blessing because by the time they knew, there were only days left - 9 days today. That saved her a lot of suffering, but was understandably a shock to all who love her. So sorry for the loss of your Mother. I know it's been awhile, but you don't ever really get over losing a parent. My Dad passed away suddenly in 2004 and I still think of him and feel him with me. My Mum-in-love passed away 2 years ago and I still cry for her sometimes. One of the sad realities of growing older - you start losing people you love.
Condolences on your loss. May God's peace and comfort be recognized by you and all those close to her.
Thank you for your kind thoughts.
Sorry to hear your sad news, always painful to lose a dearly loved friend. Good to know she is with the Lord.
I am so grateful for having had her in my life, and for the confidence, through Jesus, that I will see her again someday.
You will. I look forward to seeing my loved ones again too.
By the grace of God!

Absolutely! Amen.

That was absolutely her Hope, and her family's hope (and mine as well). I can't imagine a grief that says there is nothing after this.
Sorry to hear that fren.
Thank you, fren.

I am just so grateful she didn't suffer long. It was very fast. She literally was camping with her family only a month ago.
Stay strong in Christ fren. We're all with you.
Thank you, fren. Everyone here has been so kind throughout this last week when I've posted about her. This is a very caring community.
I'm truly sorry. God be with you all.
Thank you so much - He absolutely is with us!
(((Big Hugs))) to you, your friends and their families. I am sorry for your loss.

What kind of bone cancer?
Not sure. It just all happened so fast, and the family was very focused on just soaking up those last moments with her. I'm not sure they even thought to ask.
Yeah no problems. There is luikemia, there are different rare blood cancers which is basically bone cancer since the bones control blood “stuff”
Condolences.
I’m sorry for your loss.
Thank you, fren
I'm sorry for your loss. May you know she has met the one true God and is resting in peace tonight!
Yes, that gives us all great comfort.

Yes, I’m very grateful for that assurance.
