His age really gives it away too. I'm in my 40's and everyone older than me gets their news from the boob tube and everyone younger than me gets their news from social media.
****Edit to Add: Oh Lord, maybe I should have added more detail in my comment but I wasn't saying ALL older people are brainwashed by media. I was talking in generalizations based on everyone I know. Those older than me prefer the tv, still have cable, and watch news networks, those younger than me are obsessed with social media and everything they hear about the world comes from there in some 30 second clip. Both think they are informed and in reality neither of them know squat. Only those people who search for truth know they have to look outside of these two bubbles to find it. So don't get your panties in a wad thinking I was talking about YOU if you are older than me, clearly if you are here then you are not stuck in the media bubble, but you know damn well the majority of your peers are, just like the majority of my peers are too.
I just tell them we need Ron in Florida and that the left would treat Ron the same. Idc what he thinks they will and Ron will cave. Then I list all the ballsy shit Trump did that actually pissed off the left, like telling Germany their retards for buying oil from Russia and ponder if DeSantis would ever do that.
Wrong. Im the same age as this guy and my circle of friends are all around the same age. Not one of us think like this guy. And everyone of us knows how to use a computer and read alternative media. Quit lumping people into groups. Thats what they do.
touche' in my 70s here and the part OP wrote about but glossed over is that coworker WILL VOTE FOR TRUMP. Now let's just get the MidTerms right so TRUMP can make Lasting Change.
Stereotyping people into groups is definitely something that's been indoctrinated into most people, myself and others here included. It's an easy option to group the minority as the whole -- it's also an even easier way to divide us.
Like you said: "Quit lumping people into groups." It's something I think we all need to work on.
I occasionally watch CBS "news" (the only network I can get from my attic antenna :) ) to see what the latest leftist propaganda is, and then see how conservative media reports on the same stories; it's pretty eye-opening and would be great if the Democrat minions tried that (of course, they would just say that the conservative news is "fake news")
I like to think of people like Trump as a mirror for others. So here we have your co-worker calling Trump an "egotistical maniac" when the same worker gets mad at you "because you believe something else". In other words, it sounds like your co-worker has a little bit of a problem with his own ego and the fact that he needs to be "right".
It just seems as if the people who get so worked up about DJT are seeing their own failings in him. I know about the concept of projection (and you can see that happening on a daily basis) but why is it that this one person generates this effect time after time?
I laugh, loud, in their faces, point at them and say, loudly, "Hey, guys! This idiot still believes whatever the msm pumps into him! Ain't he just the dumbest bitch you've seen lately?"
Sometimes fists get thrown but they're weak pieces of shit so it don't last long.
In other words, he watches fox news.

Fucking smacked the Kool Aid right out of his mouth! LOL
Seems like he's one of those people who mistake arrogance with wisdom.
hahaha

I have an older friend that says the same..
A-MAZING!

God bless you! I can't get my dad to remember how to turn on a computer.
Best I can do is his cell phone and he figured out how to send emoticons. Still has a problem sending a picture one in a while but making progress.

Many people older than you get their news online, especially those who realize how corrupt the media is.
People older than 40 only get their news from TV. Kids say the darndest things.😂😂😂😂
That's OK. They'll grow up someday v
Why didn't you hit him with these facts?
His 401K grew dramatically under Trump and tanked dramatically under Biden.
USA had energy independence under Trump, Biden drains strategic reserve to lower gas prices.
USA wiped out Russian mercs (Syria) under Trump, Russia now closest to nuclear exchange since 1962.
/am not even through 1st cup of coffee...

Sad thing is, most people are that way.
Heck, I was for a long time. I knew the news has bias and twisted things. Never realized they outright lied until C19 and The Big Lie.
I know folks like the guy you wrote about.
I laugh, loud, in their faces, point at them and say, loudly, "Hey, guys! This idiot still believes whatever the msm pumps into him! Ain't he just the dumbest bitch you've seen lately?"

Regarding his comment on the legal system and voting:
Wait, you mean that the people in power didn't find that they did anything wrong to stay in power? Fascinating Jim, tell me more.
Exactly.
And doesn't think for himself ever
