His age really gives it away too. I'm in my 40's and everyone older than me gets their news from the boob tube and everyone younger than me gets their news from social media.
****Edit to Add: Oh Lord, maybe I should have added more detail in my comment but I wasn't saying ALL older people are brainwashed by media. I was talking in generalizations based on everyone I know. Those older than me prefer the tv, still have cable, and watch news networks, those younger than me are obsessed with social media and everything they hear about the world comes from there in some 30 second clip. Both think they are informed and in reality neither of them know squat. Only those people who search for truth know they have to look outside of these two bubbles to find it. So don't get your panties in a wad thinking I was talking about YOU if you are older than me, clearly if you are here then you are not stuck in the media bubble, but you know damn well the majority of your peers are, just like the majority of my peers are too.
I just tell them we need Ron in Florida and that the left would treat Ron the same. Idc what he thinks they will and Ron will cave. Then I list all the ballsy shit Trump did that actually pissed off the left, like telling Germany their retards for buying oil from Russia and ponder if DeSantis would ever do that.
"He tells me that even though he likes Trump’s policies, he hates Trump as a person and that he is an egotistical maniac"
This shit is what kills me.
"REEEEEEEE his policies are the best but he's MEAN"
Lmfao being nice is such a worthless non virtue. What an absolutely worthless qualifier to choose the freaking leader of our country over actual capability and leadership.
The most NPC criticism of the man ever. I'm sick of this pussified world where everyone demands everyone else be NICE over things that actually matter like being courageous, just, truthful, incorruptible and strong.
Wrong. Im the same age as this guy and my circle of friends are all around the same age. Not one of us think like this guy. And everyone of us knows how to use a computer and read alternative media. Quit lumping people into groups. Thats what they do.
touche' in my 70s here and the part OP wrote about but glossed over is that coworker WILL VOTE FOR TRUMP. Now let's just get the MidTerms right so TRUMP can make Lasting Change.
Stereotyping people into groups is definitely something that's been indoctrinated into most people, myself and others here included. It's an easy option to group the minority as the whole -- it's also an even easier way to divide us.
Like you said: "Quit lumping people into groups." It's something I think we all need to work on.
Didn't you just lump them into a group by saying that?
I'm not saying you're wrong about them.
I'm just saying if you can't handle a generalization without calling it an offensive stereotype .... which is what you just said ... you're kinda doing EXACTLY what they do when they accuse us of being racist.
You are a small fringe minority in that age group and you know it. You're lumped in that group because almost every boomer I know still gets their news exclusively from Fox and refuses to change. The stereotype is accurate. You and your friends are remote exceptions.
I occasionally watch CBS "news" (the only network I can get from my attic antenna :) ) to see what the latest leftist propaganda is, and then see how conservative media reports on the same stories; it's pretty eye-opening and would be great if the Democrat minions tried that (of course, they would just say that the conservative news is "fake news")
Bullshit. I'm 60 and I've been watching this stuff for 30 years. I don't watch any msm.
Everyone older than you? These idiotic assumptions are a problem. I just the other day had a 84 yo man in a restaurant talking about Q to what I think was his brother.
As a generality I am forced to agree, however, I also find that older people can be swayed.
I.e. - A tactic I use goes something like this: "Hey, remember how everyone used to say that ONLY a businessman could solve our debt issues and get the country running in tip-top (yeah I went there) shape? Remember how we all used to say that we've had enough of politicians who don't live in the real world but in a bubble in D.C.? Well, we had that and DAMN he ran this county like a business (add some examples like energy independence and defeating ISIS, etc.). Don't you think it's worth our children's and grandchildren's future to have a businessman like Trump fix our country? We don't have to like his style since the results are FAR more important than the person. Wouldn't you agree? Just look at Xiden, that guy is a multi-decade politician and we've only gone backward and downwards since this politician got in office. Yeah, I love DeSantis too, but we already KNOW that Trump can fix America, he's done it TWICE already and we have NO TIME to waste or second guess. I think we get Trump back, then we can focus on who can maintain our great Republic."
His age really gives it away too. I'm in my 40's and everyone older than me gets their news from the boob tube and everyone younger than me gets their news from social media.
I've noticed that the degree of awakenedness seems to ebb and flow with age as I see a bunch in their 40/50s who are asleep normies then 60/70s more cognizant people until 80s braindead sheep. I think there are generational factors.
Really??? Do you actually know anyone in your 50s because as someone who recently entered theirs, none of us are acting or living as you describe. We don’t watch cable because don’t have fucking cable, we got rid of it years ago. we get our information from the Internet, we have all the latest tacking crap because we can afford it , etc. I started working during the.com boom so was always fully immersed in that culture. in fact I would say Gen Xers are probably the most well-rounded people that I know generally speaking. We’re not retards like boomers or narcissists and retards like their offspring. How’s that for generalizations.
I'm genX too, and good for you and your peers but just look at the statistics. Ratings for tv show the general audience age. My comment was not an insult to you, so get off your high horse please. And yes everyone i know in their 50's watch tv and the only "tech" they know how to use if FB. Maybe because i'm in the undereducated dirty south. Even the 40-something's I know never learned how to use a computer beyond email. Guessing your from somewhere more "refined".
Hon, I'm in my 60's and it took me 20 gradually unfolding years of reading Internet alt media and swallowing lots of red pills to get unbrainwashed. Without Internet and alternate points of view, I never would have figured anything out. Just having alternatives to official narratives helped me gradually sort things out. Most people, young and old, dismiss things contrary to what they have been taught. It's all just "conspiracy theory" and thus to be dismissed. Frankly I enjoy reading CT for fun. It's better than detective novels.
I'm 65, have an almost lifelong friend of same age, and he is totally brainwashed by MSM. His comment to me, when I bring up anything that counters the MSM narrative, is, "Well, you have your source of news and I have mine". For my 90-yr-old, lifetime Democrat mother, it's similar, but also the fact that she has been a Democrat her whole life makes it even harder for her to see how evil the Democrat party has become.
I like to think of people like Trump as a mirror for others. So here we have your co-worker calling Trump an "egotistical maniac" when the same worker gets mad at you "because you believe something else". In other words, it sounds like your co-worker has a little bit of a problem with his own ego and the fact that he needs to be "right".
It just seems as if the people who get so worked up about DJT are seeing their own failings in him. I know about the concept of projection (and you can see that happening on a daily basis) but why is it that this one person generates this effect time after time?
I laugh, loud, in their faces, point at them and say, loudly, "Hey, guys! This idiot still believes whatever the msm pumps into him! Ain't he just the dumbest bitch you've seen lately?"
Sometimes fists get thrown but they're weak pieces of shit so it don't last long.
Exactly - I just wrote basically the same thing above in my comment to the mod.
Nice post BTW OP! I have 7-10 people that were on the verge of being red-pilled and keep falling right back into the FoxNews vortex.
Even realizing COVID was a scam, Hunter's laptop was real, the election was stolen... even with all of that, the best I can get them to is an anti-Q Doomer.
The Plan is so well orchestrated and secure that it's almost making our job to red pill Normies impossible. We have very little tangible progress to show for, even though we see the brilliance of the chess match unfolding daily, they are incapable of seeing this.
In other words, he watches fox news.
His age really gives it away too. I'm in my 40's and everyone older than me gets their news from the boob tube and everyone younger than me gets their news from social media.

Fucking smacked the Kool Aid right out of his mouth! LOL
Seems like he's one of those people who mistake arrogance with wisdom.
hahaha

Then I list all the ballsy shit Trump did that actually pissed off the left, like telling Germany their retards for buying oil from Russia and ponder if DeSantis would ever do that.
I have an older friend that says the same..
A-MAZING!
Excellent.

Same
I wasn't saying ALL, it was a generalization based on people I know.

Updoot!!
God bless you! I can't get my dad to remember how to turn on a computer.
Best I can do is his cell phone and he figured out how to send emoticons. Still has a problem sending a picture one in a while but making progress.
Many people older than you get their news online, especially those who realize how corrupt the media is.
People older than 40 only get their news from TV. Kids say the darndest things.😂😂😂😂
That's OK. They'll grow up someday v
Bullshit. I'm 60 and I've been watching this stuff for 30 years. I don't watch any msm.

Don't say Everyone 😁 57 and I see.
I'm eighty and have been "red pilled" all my life.
I haven't owned a tv for twenty years.
Adios escape. The world doesn't need your very dumb prejudice.
My "peers" are not identified as peers by age. It's just a little more complex than that.
You need to look at yourself more accurately. Find out what you yourself are and you will know others better than you do.
Often, but not always, this knowledge comes with age. Occasionally it is found in youth.
I've noticed that the degree of awakenedness seems to ebb and flow with age as I see a bunch in their 40/50s who are asleep normies then 60/70s more cognizant people until 80s braindead sheep. I think there are generational factors.
Hey..I’m 67 and I’ve been pretty much up to speed since November e, 2020. I HOPE I’m not the exception!
I like boobs though...

Why didn't you hit him with these facts?
His 401K grew dramatically under Trump and tanked dramatically under Biden.
USA had energy independence under Trump, Biden drains strategic reserve to lower gas prices.
USA wiped out Russian mercs (Syria) under Trump, Russia now closest to nuclear exchange since 1962.
/am not even through 1st cup of coffee...

Sad thing is, most people are that way.
Heck, I was for a long time. I knew the news has bias and twisted things. Never realized they outright lied until C19 and The Big Lie.
I know folks like the guy you wrote about.
Regarding his comment on the legal system and voting:
Wait, you mean that the people in power didn't find that they did anything wrong to stay in power? Fascinating Jim, tell me more.
