His age really gives it away too. I'm in my 40's and everyone older than me gets their news from the boob tube and everyone younger than me gets their news from social media.

****Edit to Add: Oh Lord, maybe I should have added more detail in my comment but I wasn't saying ALL older people are brainwashed by media. I was talking in generalizations based on everyone I know. Those older than me prefer the tv, still have cable, and watch news networks, those younger than me are obsessed with social media and everything they hear about the world comes from there in some 30 second clip. Both think they are informed and in reality neither of them know squat. Only those people who search for truth know they have to look outside of these two bubbles to find it. So don't get your panties in a wad thinking I was talking about YOU if you are older than me, clearly if you are here then you are not stuck in the media bubble, but you know damn well the majority of your peers are, just like the majority of my peers are too.

wisdom comes with age but also the older you are the harder it is to except that beliefs formed before the wisdom of age came can be verry flawed.

At one time I was a bush apologizer...I had to realize over the last 10 years how wrong I was about a lot of stuff.

This came because of the wisdom of age but a lot of the stuff that I had wrong was hard to admit.

Pride comes before the fall and arrogance is the bad friend that we all at some point embrace.

I just tell them we need Ron in Florida and that the left would treat Ron the same. Idc what he thinks they will and Ron will cave. Then I list all the ballsy shit Trump did that actually pissed off the left, like telling Germany their retards for buying oil from Russia and ponder if DeSantis would ever do that.

I have an older friend that says the same..

Common folk really underestimate the power of a good Governor. Hence why I doubt someone like Newsome would ever run for president.

Professional politicans know their worth. Republicans are kinda bad at politics and have a hard time uniting under one cause, staying focused, and in place. I so hope DeSantis doesn't run. It would be dumb of him to.

Considering that the Democrats idea of a Florida governor was an unknown black man with a bad cocaine habit who was found with unconscious male prostitutes in his hotel room. Without DeSantis in the office the Democrats would have their type of candidate selected, not elected.

It is already being reported that DeSantis is going to announce a '24 run after the mid-terms.

Those guys might be right. DeSantis may very well be controlled oppo. I am not saying he is, I need more information before I would make such a declaration. We will see how he handles the primaries though assuming the reports are accurate.

Yeah but he still turned against Trump because he was too stupid to see Fox is as bad as CNN. If not worse. Now because this guy is a moron that refuses to turn off the TV all the deep state has to do is run a shiny RINO turd and he'll vote for him instead of Trump. How many morons around the country will fall for that because Fox convinced them Orange man bad? That could lead to splitting the votes of the party and losing an election. All due to idiots like this guy. That's the scenario they are priming and people are dumb enough to fall for it.

Stereotyping people into groups is definitely something that's been indoctrinated into most people, myself and others here included. It's an easy option to group the minority as the whole -- it's also an even easier way to divide us.

Like you said: "Quit lumping people into groups." It's something I think we all need to work on.

I am much older than you and haven't watched TV at all in years. I saw a couple in the store a few days ago piling tomatoes, tomato sauce, and tomato paste into their cart. I mentioned the crop failure in California, and they said they'd heard of it, and that's why they were stocking up. I see a lot of older people buying everything they can to stock up. One guy I talked to said he was clearing out a place to store plywood and lumber for future projects. He knows that lumber prices are now dropping.

You are a small fringe minority in that age group and you know it. You're lumped in that group because almost every boomer I know still gets their news exclusively from Fox and refuses to change. The stereotype is accurate. You and your friends are remote exceptions.

Truth hurts. The fee boomers here, which I am proud of for breaking the mold, are a tiny fringe of their demographic. The overwhelming majority are still asleep watch Fox. OP was correct. It's happening this way because the vast majority are still sheep. Especially the older gen. Trust me I work in service. I run into a hundred new people on average a week. Mostly conservative. Almost all of them watch Fox and only Fox.

"You're lumped into that group because every boomer I know..." That right there is what the other side does. "All blacks are XXX...", "all Latinos do XXX...", "all women...", etc.

Stereotype: an often unfair and untrue belief that many people have about a group of people with a particular characteristic. (Britannica)

I have news for you... Boomer here with boomer friends that are wide awake and are not Faux news devotees. There are more of me and my friends than you realize. Hell, my 84yo mother was more awake than some people here!

– ArtemisY 1 point 3 years ago +1 / -0

Again, you and your friends, which I am very proud of, are the fringe minority. My job puts in contact with a lot of new people every week. Mostly conservative. In your age group, 90+% are Fox sheep. This is about fours of experience too and it hasn't changed much in the last two. I run into very few boomers getting their news outside Fox and even fewer doing their own real research. It's a critical issue and if we act like it's not because you and your friends say it's not, we can't address it properly. Frankly, I'm sick of this group because many of them are dumb enough to turn on Trump because they're too thick to release that narrative is being feed to them by Fox.

You and your friends do not change the fact that the majority of conservatives in a certain age group overwhelmingly get their news from only one place. There are majorities and there are always exceptions. The existence of exceptions do not discount the majorities existence just as noting the obvious majority does not discount your experience.

His 401K grew dramatically under Trump and tanked dramatically under Biden.

I like to think of people like Trump as a mirror for others. So here we have your co-worker calling Trump an "egotistical maniac" when the same worker gets mad at you "because you believe something else". In other words, it sounds like your co-worker has a little bit of a problem with his own ego and the fact that he needs to be "right".

It just seems as if the people who get so worked up about DJT are seeing their own failings in him. I know about the concept of projection (and you can see that happening on a daily basis) but why is it that this one person generates this effect time after time?

I was at my mother-in-love's house yesterday and her neighbor popped in. About the same age as me (50s), conservative Christian but not really into "politics", etc. So we were talking about the queen (I'd been in my bible study class that morning and my small group of ladies were going on and on about the people lining up for her funeral and ain't it great that the world will see them praying on TV - I don't remember a great harvest of souls after any other state funeral, but ok). So this neighbor is basically, I'm thinking, on the baby formula of red pills, but she's listening. And then she says, "Have you ever heard of Juan O'Savin?" Sigh.

Examples: heavy coverage of a shooter until it's obviously not a white right wing terror event (buffalo, ulidad.) Minimal coverage over black on white/asian terror (Christmas parade, subway assault and murders). Maximum coverage on anti Trump stuff then blackout once they are proven wrong /liars (Mueller, fbi raid.) covid, injections, alternative medicine, taxes, inflation, war aaaaaaa I could go on and on...it'll be impossible to deny. Media is the delivery method of the awakening.

Well that makes sense if the person holds “power” over you. If I may generalize, all the drama in an office is caused by women….. hell hath no fury like a woman scorned

It's just the nature of things. Men are physical, women are emotional. Men will "take it out back" and fight it out, women are more calculated, cold, and manipulative and hold a grudge and will spend the rest of their lives dedicated to ruining another woman's life if they so choose. This is why, as a woman, I don't care to have any woman friends. I've found a couple rare ones in life that I like, but for the most part, women are more difficult to get through to and honestly, I don't like most of them anyway. I have nothing in common with them. My husband is my "best friend" and I'm totally ok with that. I have way more in common with him than any girl that's ever crossed my path in life.

Dee68 is right on. I remember some boomer lady saying “oh, if women only ruled the world!”

And I said, “well, we wouldn’t be standing here because those rulers would’ve nuked each other years ago”.

I have worked with mostly female organizations...it’s a nightmare of whispers, rumors, petty disagreements and power plays.

It is very tough to not socially isolate yourself with your opinions in your sister’s circumstance. As time passes, being a part of the group holds less importance.

She needs a MAGA Chad and she will be set free. Be patient.

There are many in her position that shut up for a long while and turned into homeschooling warriors.

I'm a woman and I say women can be leaders in some areas, but they cannot rule the world. Male and female brains and bodies work a bit differently. Men are meant to do manly things and women are meant to do womanly things. Some things can be shared responsibilities. Look at Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. She is a Narcissist ruling the roost and emasculating her husband. He and marriage are wrecked. My mother did the same thing to my dad. She wanted to be the boss and abuse everyone around her.

What would be the one thing that would fix this problem in an instant? IMO, it would be the immediate shutdown of all major news networks. It is the root of all of this - their misrepresentations are why people believe the lies about Trump and nothing about voter fraud, as example. It is almost 100% their fault as they are a strong arm of the progressive party. Everything wrong with our country and world can be traced back to them. It surprises me that there isn't more artillery being used to expose the media. But, then again, how do you do it without it seeming like a hostile takeover? Grannies get used to seeing someone like Stone Phillips, as it's those types who win their trust. Uprooting and replacing with unbiased journalists would probably not be well-received. There has got to be a way to break down their iron curtain of control over the population.

Ask him who in the 20th century had as much popular demonstrated support as Trump. Massive rallies. Huge regattas. RINOs being bounced in primaries. Even literally today. Reagan was popular, but nowhere this popular. Kennedy was popular, but not this popular. I wasn't there to see FDR in form, but the record does not depict him as being as popular as Trump. I'm 71. He needs to be told that his "historic" perspective is full of shit. He just doesn't want to recognize reality. He doesn't want to go down that path. Because it leads to other things he doesn't want to admit. The delusionally insane have a very reliable instinct for where they don't want to go.

And there would be a reason why DeSantis would totally fail---and why Trump needs to be the candidate, but that is a longer discussion.

Well while we wait and gently nudge them by planting seeds and waiting some more, we’re actively getting poisoned to death by clot shots, overrun by illegals, being labeled as domestic terrorists and put on lists for questioning the validity of official stories full of holes an inconsistencies and brazen lies, oh yeah and children are being trafficked, enslaved, raped, tortured and killed in large numbers and it’s all state sanctioned. We’re OUT of time to wait. No time left to coddle the willfully ignorant. No more time left for them to continue hitting Snooze. Time for the alarm to blare loudly and a cold bucket of water to the face. I’m PRAYING that this current raid legal scandal bears MAJOR fruit that cannot be denied or defended away by the sleepwalking sheep-people. JFK…911…S Hook…Russia Russia…Iran Deal…election fraud…fucking moon landing…ANYTHING that finally fucking flips the lights to ON in the mass collective consciousness. I no longer have the capacity to continue watching our country and world burn down while waiting for these people to acknowledge there’s such a thing as fire.

I've been on this ride since the beginning and I hate to say it but I do not know a single person who has woken up. Every single person in my life who is red-pilled was red-pilled when this started. And my personal experience, I don't think anybody's waking up. There are eight people that I know a personally who are suffering vaccine side effects including two that were diagnosed by doctors as having side effects from vaccine and not a one of them is awake. Every one of those people is going to get their booster.

BINGO...I find some are awake to certain things like destroying our families and schools with LGBTQ crap, but they just can’t connect any dots, that it’s all related. I just don’t know what it’s going to take to connect the dots. The hoax pandemic to steal an election was an obvious connection when it happened to me and my husband, but so many others saw these as separate events - unrelated. Then we realized the judicial branch was infiltrated, connecting the dots, when no judge would hear an election case.
I have relatives that couldn’t vote for Trump because of his mouth too. Whatever happened to all the good deeds he did, is that not more important? DeSantis won’t talk about election fraud. I think he’s controlled opposition.

Because of the MSM they don't even know about the good deeds. Last conversation I had with one former friend before the election he was bitching that Trump "doesn't have a plan" (oh wow that's familiar if you follow GME) for this and that and I gave him the URL to where Trump's plans were all in writing and told him to stop relying on ten-second sound bites for his info.

People have been conditioned to think presidents should be gentlemen of perfect posture and demeanor.

The greatest presidents have been undereducated, underestimated, looked down upon by suits and executives, but loved by the people.

At this point, I don't care about people criticizing other people's demeanor. We're human and to put up an act to get your vote shows how easy of a sellout you are.

If human emotion will be used to reel in the votes, it'd be leadership and maniless. Nobody would follow Obama, Bush or Clinton into a strategy room and hear em out. Those three are faces to a political group.

With Trump, WE are the faces of his political movement. Trump is our voice. I scoff at "conservatives" who hate Trump for his personality. Weak.

The answer is easy, literally, EASY. It's easier to be a sheep than deal with the emotional trauma that your whole life has been a lie. Americans have become lazy and complicit. They are too comfortable with their lifestyle, which is about to change drastically. They don't buy into the idea that that is going to happen to them...yet.

I tell people around me that push back on my view point by simply smiling at them at telling them their belief isn't necessary but it's your duty to tell them anyway and then you do so and then you drop it. Ask people like this if they ever go and look up information from direct sources - as in, the actual complete video to see what someone actually said - or do they always Google for someone to tell them what to think, and go with that?

(you know the answer)

Challenge them to get direct sources instead of relying on Goog and the TV talking heads. They won't understand what "direct sources" means, but you can tell them.

I'm old too. What got me is when I heard a blatant lie and knew something was going wrong. Even in medicine, the 'expert' says something that as long as I have lived was out right lie. The hypocrisy of politicians. They have armed security but we cant even defend ourselves. They say border is secure yet we see with our own eyes migrants just walking in. Then the raids by govmint. The J6 prisoners just like the people who disappeared when KGB showed up.

Its because I am old, all my life my parents told me what life was like under Stalin and Hitler, the holodomyr, concentration camps and slave labor. And I see all these things happening here now.

Every time I hear people lining up for shots (being told safe and effective) I am reminded of people lined up in the camps for the gas chambers (being told they are only getting showers.

We need to get rid of the media. Or flip them, whatever. It's time to take off the gloves and give the sleeping public some hard stuff to chew on. Not all at once, but something that shocks them enough to lead them out of their trance of comfort and ignorance. To de-program them may take as long as it took to program their minds, so it may take about 1-2 generations. We don't have this time, the time is now.

We did a good job, I guess, and we should proceed and don't give up offering red pills, but this is just a small part we can do. We need something bigger, and it's about to happen, at least my gut tells me so.

Everything happening out there is so strange, so weired, so absurd, it feels like preparing the masses for some huge truth bombs. Or it's exactly the opposite and everything goes down the hill and we're fucked up. But that's not my mindset, and that's not what I "feel". I'm so calm, so prepared, so full of inner peace and full of faith in God, and I'm in this state because of the aggregation of everything weired that happens in the "outer world".

It doesn't touch me anymore. I feel like I went a step further, and now I'm, ahead of the things that will happen and I just to have wait, patiently, calm. Anybody else feels this way? I don't know how to describe it in english, but it's like Q's 40,000ft view. I see how everything is connected, but I'm unable to transfer my view to the minds of other people, even based ones.

I know quite a few based folks, they just deny Q and I think that's their main problem. They're still caught in the news cycles: "see how bad it comes? I told you so. Everything is going down. We have to fight... Blablabla".

They don't have faith, without faith there is no hope. And they didn't study Q. And they deny God.

If they only knew.

It's going to take decades to steer the herd to better pastures. Some cannot be saved. Some will DOUBLE DOWN on the psychosis. Decades of conditioning have produced NPC man/woman or whatever pronouns they think they are. Some suggest the biggest rats have been removed, quietly. And now the work on the rest of the construct begins. Some will never have an authentic thought of their own or be able to solve basic problems, but there are others who are seeing through the deceptions and lies and are asking questions or at least suspect something is terribly wrong.
