Today is « V for Vendetta » day. I love this movie, the picture is gorgeous and it’s really well written and played. (Of course, the original comic book narration is of much higher quality.)
We get to differentiate those who made that film from their work as well as they don’t appear in theirs own flick and also don’t use it to promote their dysphories.
It’s kinda like watching a nice early 20th century watercolor work and finding it charming whilst ignoring the guy who painted it was denied being enlisted to the Austrian Beaux Arts and ended wrecking Europe half a century later.

I just watched V for Vendetta I think for the first time from start to finish. The end titles have just finished playing. And haha. yeah, its Nov 5.
I don't think I was conscious of that when I flicked it on. The reason I watched it is because I have been listening to Majic Eyes Qnly Series 7 (part 1) Law of War the Storm over the last two days. He references the film quite a lot. Because I listen via audio, I don't know exactly what scenes he references directly.
But after listening to most of Series 7 Part 1, I thought, I have a copy of V on my harddrive somewhere. I think I'll watch it.
And dang, wouldn't you know, after I finished watching it 10 minutes ago now, its..... Nov 5.

There has to be something DS related in being able to open massive locations even in this economy that amount to a really big convenience store and gas pumps. Plus paying their employees well above mimimum wage ($18 and up)
I've noticed less buccees shirts in the wild. Sure there's always a time of day they're packed, but big box stores have trouble staying open and they have a whole lot more to offer. road trip season is not year round for most people so it doesn't add up
I have thought about the companies going out of business lately, and at the same time others who are starting to thrive.
My theory is that, any company that can actually do well and produce real value and can do this without depending on easy loans, can thrive. Those connected to the CB easy money policy, will get wiped out.

My friend and I have a conspiracy theory regarding QT gas stations.
We have them here in Arizona, the people that run the registers are ultra efficient, clean-cut, and usually men. Every once in a while see a woman, but we think it’s a training ground for some type of a lawn Forssman job.
I think they have to learn how to deal with the public, but also learn how to pay attention, and maybe later in the day they’re tested on anybody that came in that looks suspicious, or a specific person in particular that they could record their stats on.
Also all QT gas stations are safe havens. So runaways, and or babies, or anybody under age can show up there and have a safe place to be at. I don’t know if this is legitimate, or if it’s some type of a human trafficking thing. Who knows.
I know that’s too much conspiracy theory wrapped up in too many other different ideas, but something weird is going on there I know that for sure. If you go to any other convenient store or gas station, you’re always get the same type of person running the registers. But if you ever go to a QT gas station pay attention to the people that are checking you out. It’s really bizarre that they are so efficient and rapid, and on target every time.

I don't really think so. RT has to be content with simply writing up lyrics and then letting us play the song in our heads. AL does the entire bit, which obviously adds to the potency, but on a lyric by lyric basis, I won't think RT is all that far behind AL, if even.
Just one opinion, tho.
