Sure, they could have and would have been better without cheating, but the more people who finally SEE it and cotton on to what's happening, the less they'll be able to get away with it in the future.

That said, I believe Patel is onto something but his predictions of how our military may react to our shitty voting system by comparing us to Myanmar and Brazil is not promising or convincing.
It's possible that the midterms were the trigger for Trump's return, but, we can't hold our breath either way. I'm not a date-fagger, personally. But, if Trump's announcement on Nov. 15th is that he's running in 2024, then yeah, Patel's prediction is most definitely dead.

I think the videos of the people demonstrating in the streets needs to get out to the world so that average people outside Brazil start supporting the plight of Brazilians. A Brazilian military intervention without the support of other nations, especially the United States could be risky.
Their last military coup occurred in 1964. At that time the United States was actually anti-Communist. So much has changed since then. But if the American population sees the millions of Brazilians from all walks of life begging for a military action then hopefully the American people would not support the US sending troops to quell a military action in Brazil because it would be understood by Americans that it is the will of the Brazilian people.
