Fren don’t wish that upon another fren…..but yes there’s that possibility. I’ll try my best to guide them to recognize an NPC but in the end it’s out of my control.
But look at what Twitter is doing now: no outside social media site links?
We have to consider that these platforms were, on the whole, engineered to be used as a tool for agents of a totalitarian state to:
Gather data for facial recognition, location tracking, and post history of their users to keep tabs on potential dissidents and monetize selling “market demographics”
Constantly feed users—millions of people—the Uniparty Platform through posts by “verified” individuals and censoring of anything that goes against the totalitarian regime to ensure the populace continues to toe the line and support the system of oppression.
Let’s consider Facebook, for example. I joined Facebook in high school because I wanted to play FarmVille and get into poke wars with my friends. And I didn’t want to lose pictures stored on my very small storage digital camera. Over time, what was introduced as a way to reconnect with old friends and have fun morphed into creating a political echo chamber and selling out your profile to advertisers who would then flood your dashboard with ads you never wanted in the first place.
We can even look at something touted as “good tech.” I met the founder of Life360 once. He told me with a straight, emotionless face that he basically couldn’t care less about saving someone’s life if they were in a car wreck—Life360’s main marketable success story at the time. The reason he made the app and became so successful was because he could mine your location data and figure out who your friends and family were to make hyper specific data bundles for product targeting that marketing companies would kill for.
These kinds of platforms can still be good for the small business owner and for people wanting to use them to keep in touch. But we will need to conduct a thorough cleaning of them and those who run them to remove the harm they currently create.
Consider this.... in Elon's poll about stepping down from Twitter, one of his next tweets basically admits that Twitter isn't a viable business. It was never meant to be. It must have been propped up (by the Feds) with the ill-gotten gains from the porn on the platform. Once that was removed Elon is admitting that there is no way for Twitter to be profitable.
(side note: I use the 'Life360' app to track my drivers in company owned box trucks. Go outta my way to make sure my drivers are aware of this. The irony is that I hate this, feels a violation of free will/natural law/Bill of Rights -- but, always a "but"... insurance/workers comp gives significant discounts for this plus it protect businesses if a dispute arises. Then again, could hurt too if, say, the GPS proves the driver was speeding or has habits of such.
Slippery slope.
Feel the same w my biz HD security cams place everywhere inside & out, especially knowing [they] can unknowingly tap into my cams anytime without consent-: just like with you're doorbell or home security cams. Or smart TV, even old " dumb" DVD players. (doubters plz search "cameras found in VCRs/DVD players")
Vampires aren't allowed to come inside your home unless invited. Apparently, the fine print on your cam purchase & contract pretty much covers that. Consent. Just like with Goog, Apple, phones, tablets, computers, tvs...
Oh my goodness, don’t even get me started on « Safe Driver Discounts » and those smart devices that tell you when your vehicle has an issue. Which is normally an issue you’d catch anyway with regular maintenance.
That’s a big thing I don’t know the solution to—all of these things clearly have a use. And business owners, families trying to stay safe, and completely harmless institutions require these things to go about their daily duties/stay protected in 99% of cases.
So how do we remove the monopoly and the bogus ToS that let these companies and cronies trample on your rights? How do we create protections to limit their ability to take us back to this time where they make us consent by giving us no other choice if we want to remain viable in society?
It's the whole saying "With great power comes great responsibility".
The purpose of data collection is supposed to be used to improve communication.
Advertisements are only bad when they market something
you could care less about.
For Example, I notice tons of "how to draw" ads on Facebook now.
I love these ads and want more. Learning how to draw is a new hobby.
Without data collection. Facebook would have no way of knowing if they should show me that ad.
The problem is the government!
I have said this before.
If an area is a shithole.
That's not because of the general population.
That's because of the government.
The general public doesn't have a major problem with data collection.
Most of the general public did not know the intelligence agencies were running the show.
Most people thought that Facebook was a private company handling their data.
Going forward.
We need to blow the whistle on ANY company hiring former government employees.
Data collection can work only if the government is forced out of it.
There’s a difference between a platform being built to help and a platform built to spy and monetize.
Saying FB giving you ads on how to draw means data mining is a good thing is, in my view, like supporting controlled housing because, hey, at least everyone gets a free bed out of it.
Plain and simple—these platforms were built for spying. And they’re being used for spying.
Furthermore, when you have someone with as much of a monopoly as Bezos, or Gates, and they’re all mining your data and selling it their friends and business partners, there’s no real difference in overreach, in my opinion, between their abuse of power and the government’s in tech.
Nothing good can come from these places until they are thoroughly cleaned and a Data Bill of Rights is put into place.
You should be allowed to opt out of data sharing. The way things are now, you may be given the illusion of that option, but they still track absolutely everything.
I am an entrepreneur. That's why I see it differently.
I understand where you are coming from.
I am working on my own system.
We want to know what our prospects are interested in.
So we don't waste their time showing them crap they wouldn't like.
I studied consumer choice and behavioral economics in undergrad.
Even though my entire field relies on data on purchasing patterns and preferences, I only want people releasing that data willingly and with the knowledge of how I plan to use it.
But look at what Twitter is doing now: no outside social media site links?
So tired of people being unable to read. The ban is on Twitter accounts that do nothing but promote posts on other platforms, not "no outside links period." Otherwise is like Wal-Mart allowing Target to place ads for Target products inside of Wal-Mart stores. Twitter has an exemption for accounts that pay for this, Musk was tired of everyone being allowed to do it for free and pull users away from Twitter.
I was reading that thread this morning on Twitter. 115 Facebook employees were formerly employed by US intelligence agencies. I'm saving that one for the family get-together next weekend.
I agree. I think the Cabal created the big tech. If you have not seen, I recommend a The Best Kept Secret of the Deep State, and the company of the Ericsson.
IMHO, since I've been banned from Twitter and Facebook for at least 4 years now, with no positive response from either in my appeals, I feel that if you could talk the masses into quiting these social media platforms, they could never have taken hold of the power they now possess. Not having those influences kept me from believing the propaganda they peddled about the election, the virus, the vax, etc. I was forced to do my own research and make informed decisions from that research. Social media outlets were where all the sheep got their information I was not privy to. I believe the push should be to cancel these accounts and put these companies out of business. Financially speaking, and as a result, propaganda would not be as easily accessible. Most people never watch MSM anyway. Even the sheep.
This is, in my view, unarguable proof that we live in a totalitarian state.
Social media is just the modern tech version of the Soviet State Security force with all of these agents in control of these sites.
But the vast majority of people I know simply don’t care. Or worse: think the FBI/CIA/DARPA are doing the right thing.
I don’t pay attn to NPCs. They’re just there in the background
Fren don’t wish that upon another fren…..but yes there’s that possibility. I’ll try my best to guide them to recognize an NPC but in the end it’s out of my control.
Social media does help the indie small business person. I am one of them.
Without social media. Big businesses would be the only ones who can advertise.
Facebook made tons of solo entrepreneurs and a lot of money.
Don’t disagree.

I do not consent.
But I did, kinda

To save a few bucks, people are helping to build the very cages we will be enslaved in.
Getting data is both bad and good.
It's the whole saying "With great power comes great responsibility".
The purpose of data collection is supposed to be used to improve communication.

I know that's easier said than done.
Don’t think we’ll see eye to eye on this one.

From my standpoint. We aren't planning to release anyone's data to any 3rd Party.
It's only used to help us understand what someone actually cares about. That's it.
"For Example, I notice tons of "how to draw" ads on Facebook now. I love these ads and want more. Learning how to draw is a new hobby."
Plz learn how to use a search engine for "how to" vids & info before learning "how to draw".
Sorry fren, not to be harsh but I've never heard of someone who "love these ads and want more"
Search "happy little tree" and you'll find a soft spoken hippy dude sportin' a Joo fro... He'll teach you artistry
I can do that. The average person will only look through the first 3 to 4 sets of pages.
Those organic page results are a part of an SEO strategy.
Not every good resource will show at the top of a search engine page. Marketing a website consists of multiple marketing strategies.
Paid advertising is part of that strategy.
I am in the digital tech world.
Here is a good resource.

You really are an exceptional genius... So glad you're here, fren!!
Thanks for your kind words. But I am no genius lol.
Far from it.
Starting a business has taken me down different paths. A lot of what I say here comes from my entrepreneurial experiences.

Ah okay. My apologies. I only saw screenshots and couldn’t find the initial announcement since I’m not on Twitter.
Thanks for clarifying.
wait until you learn that the vast majority of people WANT to be enslaved. That's why the planet has been this way for so long

Not just employees, these are all management.
Damn. Impressive.
Also impressed by how the cabal penetrates the big techs.
It's easy when they created them in the first place.
Man, that cabal sure is white, though! Somebody on twit should retwit copying all the BLM pantifa bunch.
I agree. I think the Cabal created the big tech. If you have not seen, I recommend a The Best Kept Secret of the Deep State, and the company of the Ericsson.

I got banned last year. Same thing, they wanted a piece of official ID, to reinstate my account. I told them to jam it up their ass.
One follow up dig needed: What is their voter party registration?

How do you make it legible???
Open image in a new tab, then it can be enlarged.
Right click to open in a separate window where you can enlarge.
Looks to me like this "Name Redacted" guy is running the whole show. We should get that 4chan dude to look into this.
We shouldn't be surprised! How long have we known these private companies were USIC programs ?
Lifelock?
