I believe that the mistreatment of animals is wrong. I believe that humane treatment of livestock should be required. Transparency in all industries should be the norm, not just for some. The outrage people feel when they see the maltreatment of animals at puppy mills should be no different than livestock. All creatures should have a chance at life as God intended. Nature can be cruel, but we don't have to. I am not a vegan nor a vegetarian, but I have spent enough time studying animals to know that they have emotions, feelings and thoughts. If an animal can feel pain, then it should be mitigated. Cruelty should be expelled from our dominion. Any creature at our mercy deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.
