Need to weaken the lobbyist infrastructure first. Take the profit out of education through open source initiatives and remove the only incentive keeping this failed glorified public daycare system alive.
Real schools with merit based teachers. No tenure. Competition everywhere for the best of the best to once again teach our children something other than social/equity/hate yourself/change your gender bullshit.
Absolutely. So many teachers are in turmoil right now. They are being directed what and how they can teach. They must comply. Our school district has a severe teacher shortage because of this and the lockdown. Not 10 years ago, when the local kids here graduated with a teaching degree, it took 4-6 years to finally get a job. There was that much competition for the jobs.
It's time to abolish the Department of Education and handle things locally. You are so right.
So like private schools? What happens to the families that cannot afford it? Or how is this funded without a Dept of Ed? Doing away with the public school system sounds like a very big deal to me with very big consequences - like a lot of unsupervised children running around while parents/guardians are working for beginners.
The Department of Education does not fund the schools. It just controls everything about the curriculum. The Department of Education needs to be dismantled. The money per child should follow the child. The local taxes, state taxes and Fed. taxes pay for the schools, teacher's salaries etc. Private schools would be privately owned. Imagine if you could choose what was best for your child.
I do choose what's best for my children now. Don't you? If you are forced by necessity to send your children to public school, what are you going to do if it is eliminated as an option? You do make me wonder exactly how much of my tax money goes to education but I assure you private school is far more expensive.
I don't believe they will be eliminated. The building is there, the teachers are there, ready to be able to teach the children well. We need the federal government out of our schools, school boards and elections. The department of education and the teacher's unions have morphed into something sinister and powerful.
No, I didn't. A bit before my time. I do know that correlation does not imply causation - a lot has changed since 1979. But I suspect that things need to change if we want them to get better. Could also get far worse. Public schools around here seem to depend on that federal funding. Can't imagine them surviving without it.
Communities should be providing local education based on community needs and norms and then, the parents would have a say in what their children are exposed to. Read your tax bill. Then compare the cost of a public school education to that of a private school education. And then…compare the results! The Department of Education is corrupt AF, and our kids are suffering for their corruption!
Their parents. If we got rid of all of these wasted bureaucrats, moms (or dads) could afford to stay home with their own children and teach them properly.
My mom got wise before she started having kids in the early 90s. She chose to homeschool all five of my siblings and myself because she went through the public system. She always told us it was pretty much useless and kids didn’t actually learn they were indoctrinated. My mom has been based for a very long time. She even rejected childhood vaccines because her research told her they were pointless and poisonous.
Good for you! I so wish that more people would be like your mom! It’s hard to say “no” (and stand tall, let alone teach others to do the same) when so many other people are saying yes or simply don’t want to think critically.
The lesson every kid learns on day 1 of school, regardless of who is teaching or what is being taught: “I’m forced to do something I don't like for 8 hours every day for the rest of my life. I must comply rather than create or think.” A consumer-slave is born.
“Unschooling” is the natural way of learning. See John Holt.
It is about time. While we are at it, eliminate school boards and put in place citizens with children currently in the schools. Full control of textbook purchases overseen by parents with representation, but not final say, of the teacher in that subject.
It's a beginning--meaning that there are more paying attention and we at least have the House. NONE of the 3-letter agencies are constitutional. They are like federal reserve notes and the federal reserve.
G.R. Mobley has an effort going with at least one state legislature. His website is http://reclaimingtherepublic.org/. For every 3-letter agency to exist constitutionally, there must be actual legislation to make it constitutional. There is so much ignorance regarding what CONgress can actually do.....that's a big reason why our country is in such a mess. Everyone's ignorant of these things and we must change that.
When government is directed from top down, the populace becomes reactionary and this creates the familiar dichotomy with radical reactionaries and totalitarian extremes fighting it out.
They've learned to at least attempt to create and control both sides as a method of operation.
The government as educational system has a lot to do with how this is done.
It creates pupils who can't see, and so await answers from above.
Tennessee is mulling leaving federal funding for education.
“Basically, we’ll be able to educate the kids how Tennessee sees fit,” House Speaker Cameron Sexton said, pointing that rejecting the money would mean that Tennessee would no longer have “federal government interference.” No other State in the country foregoes that money. TN leads the way!

Yes! I've been saying this for over 20 years. The Dept of Ed was established in 1980 under Jimmie Carter (nuff said already). I'm 70 yrs old & I remember public education before the DOE was established. You want to clean up public education? Then get rid of the DOE - local control of schools is the only way. Then dump the State Depts of Ed - they are just as bad.
That may be true, but this brings the concept into public discussion at a time many more people are aware of what is happening in education. It’s going to succeed when the public realizes why many of our schools are failing and are being turned into places for CRT training, gender confused grooming programs, and academic mediocrity.
Dems controlled the levers and the budget under Trump.
Ginsburg was alive, supreme court stacked...MSM in full swing.
RINOS in the Bushes, and Comeys in the corn.
And so on.
You have to clean the table before cleaning and gutting the creatures you FINALLY pull out of the swamp.
You should touch up on your history. The 115th congress, jan 17-jan 19, republicans had both houses and the presidency. So are you really saying that even with 54-46 in the senate and 236-196 in the house, the dems still controled all the power? Are republicans that weak?
The supreme court even before trump was still 5-4 in favor of republicans.
Comey was gone by the end of 2017, so why didnt things happen in 2018?
Why would the msm prevent congress from passing legislation? Things like begining to repeal obamacare happened. Kavanah was appointed to the scotus. The thin blue line act happened.
This all just seems like a weak excuse for our party just not doing anything to help the people.
Yes Republicans are that weak. The RINOS with them stood against Trump and rendered any supposed majority moot.
.
The current Republican agenda is the same as the Dem for the most part, while appearing to disagree. After all, how many years of Bush helped get us here?
Were they in when it happened? Get them out and restock with vetted representatives. Making lobbying illegal as bribes again would go a long way to help.
Need to weaken the lobbyist infrastructure first. Take the profit out of education through open source initiatives and remove the only incentive keeping this failed glorified public daycare system alive.
What do you think the day care should be replaced with?
Real schools with merit based teachers. No tenure. Competition everywhere for the best of the best to once again teach our children something other than social/equity/hate yourself/change your gender bullshit.
Locally controlled

You do know that the Department of Education didn’t exist until 1979, right?
Yet we still had a public school system, and kids got an infinitely better education than they do now.
No, I didn't. A bit before my time. I do know that correlation does not imply causation - a lot has changed since 1979. But I suspect that things need to change if we want them to get better. I dont feel they are trying to stop public school education, they are talking about the corrupt Federal dept of education. Return power to the states.
Thank you. That makes far more sense to me.
Stay-at-home mothers, as it used to be before the bankers started robbing the people more and more so that both parents had to work.....
Eliminating the public school system isn't going to bring that back.
Eliminating taxes would 😏
Their parents. If we got rid of all of these wasted bureaucrats, moms (or dads) could afford to stay home with their own children and teach them properly.
I imagine that would knock a few billion off of the budget.. bye-bye Department of Communism...
That is true - but I think it’s important to both try and insert the idea into the dialogue of the sheep.
I have been saying the single greatest assault on humanity (up to Covid) was the industrialised indoctrination of successive generations of children.
I look at 20 somethings today and I can't believe how broken and useless they all seem to be.
My mom got wise before she started having kids in the early 90s. She chose to homeschool all five of my siblings and myself because she went through the public system. She always told us it was pretty much useless and kids didn’t actually learn they were indoctrinated. My mom has been based for a very long time. I'm sure you inherited and assimilated her courageous nature. My mom was a rebel about pharma and I am grateful for that example.
Good for you! I so wish that more people would be like your mom! It’s hard to say “no” (and stand tall, let alone teach others to do the same) when so many other people are saying yes or simply don’t want to think critically.
That is some mom. What a hero.
We home schooled for a total of 23 years. Unfortunately we didn't reject the childhood vaccines - we have since "seen the light".
DNA in Comms = one's nutrition, education, and medication.
Reconcile what Q meant by protecting our DNA.
Reconcile what it means for news articles that say "Found new ways to alter DNA". What does it mean to 'alter DNA' knowing the above context?

God bless him for trying.
Dismantling their dumbing down. Great.
Dr, Ron Paul has been calling for this for years. I'm with Ron Paul on this .
And thank you Dr. Ron Paul for mentoring another outstanding statesman. Kentucky can be very proud of Thomas Massie.

Exactly. Government was never meant to be the watchdog, let alone provider of your education.

Just copy and paste this on any bill submitted by a Republican House member for the next couple of years:
Won't get voted on by Senate, much less past the pen of the Pedo
That is true - but I think it’s important to both try and insert the idea into the dialogue of the sheep.
That is also true
So were not even going to pretend to try to do real work?

Sorry I didn't take this seriously earlier.
