Yeah... I'd be the first one the leftists would call a "tinfoil hat conspiracy theorist" but this kind of stuff only gives weight to that claim. The whole reason they can't get the label to stick is because we've been so good at policing ourselves and not allowing this kind of clickbaity fake news to gain traction.

Agreed. There needs to be at least some fashion of proof to these claims for it to be relevant, and "anonymous officials" are worth as much when we say it as when the mainstream media says it.
