CBDC is allowing the central banks to own all the money. People would just be allowed to use the money according to what the banks allow. Also, this will quickly go down as you cant buy guns or ammo or support causes politicians churches on the list. Money will automatically be taken from you to redistribute for the UBI. Digital currency is coming regardless. Paying for crap by weight of shekels is never making a comeback, unless the world is bombed back into the stone age. Precious metals are important for emergencies but if you think whoever wins plans to go to a metal-coin-based economy, you're crazy. Even a totally Constitutional, Treasury-based, precious-metal backed dollar will eventually have a digital "bitcoin" aspect to it. Technology advances and convenience isnt automatically "the debbil".
That said, it would be nice if we avoided "social credit" and put protections in place to ensure account access cannot be cut off by the government.
