I concur- the destroyed crops from last season will fail to feed the pipeline of livestock and grains for flour etc. The prices have risen but the farmers and ranchers are not getting paid more- they've been squeezed as they have had to sacrifice animals they can't afford to feed. When the supply thins, no amount of money will help because the meat won't be there. Ditto for the missing harvests.
Stock up on dry storage food, canned goods etc, and get out borrow a vacuum sealer.
My neighbor and I raise beef cattle together as a Co Op. We stopped taking our beef to the cattle auction. There are plenty of folks in our small rural area, who appreciate having beef they can trust, so we sell them locally, and take them to the local processor. The customers pick up the meat and pay for the processing. It's working out great so far.

I've been thinking about USA foreign policy since the Vietnam war and I think it boils down to three main objectives:
Keep the middle east bathed in flames of forever war - that way the oil keeps on flowing
Keep China and Russia as far apart as possible - we're fucked if they join up
Keep the US$ as the reserve currency - we go broke if we lose this.
And it is amazing to think that after more than 50 years of careful (but deeply cynical) statecraft and espionage manipulation, somehow in just a couple of years the Biden administration has achieved the perfect opposite of those three pillars of foreign policy.
Even if Biden was stupider than he seems, it is just not credible that all three foreign policy foundations have been lost through incompetence. The only rational explanation is that this has been carefully and thoughtfully planned out to destroy the USA's ascendancy. This was deliberate.
