Don't know about politicians accounts, many celebrities or musicians inspire copycats. It's way worse now than it was five years ago, maybe it's bots or scammers, IDK. Several years ago I followed many country music artists accounts. They would post don't follow this fake account. Saying, "I don't ask my fans for money". Years ago I saw a comment on an artist fan website. The person was DM on Facebook or Instagram by a fake account pretending to be that artist. It's very hard to get this artist tickets because they sell out and he fights scalpers. The message was to the fan from pretender saying they had tickets. The fan sent them the money and never got the tickets. Duh, how stupid can people be?! Back then I couldn't understand why someone would fall for scams like this. Especially sending a big artist money. After the last three years it's become very clear so many people just don't think for themselves. I know long story! My point is if you want to follow anyone in the spotlight you want to follow the real person.
An example, I just searched Donald Trump Jr on instagram. 29 accounts with his name. One DJT Jr with blue check. One that says fan account. I didn't look at every account some could be spam with majority fan accounts.
I've seen many popular music artists accounts with out blue check and they have a link going to the legit artist website. Some go to a website selling tickets or fake merchandise.
Honestly I don't care if Hilary etc has a check because I'm not following them. Especially not Bet 🤮
It's their trophy they get to hold over us peons, just like all of their awards they give themselves.

I watched a video whose narrator posited that this was the moment of her arrest, that she saw something in the van that shocked her so much her knees buckled. Of course then the obligatory, "I bet it was John John" ensued. Interesting take

All the losers crying over just getting their blue check mark removed are disgusting. They aren't being "deleted", just pay the 8 dollars and they are back.
POTUS Trump had his whole account removed for a lie over J6 with no recourse to just pay 8 dollars and have his account reinstated and he was the President at the time.

Also, it's a way of knocking them down (not as important or above other people as they always thought they were) to reality as they are just another person using the social media app.

Eh, I think many do not want to pay because they don't have the PowAh over the pleb people with the blue checkmark anymore. Others wont pay because they have to link their p# and be accountable for what they post from then on. I wonder how many alt accounts of these people, had blue checkmarks as well just because they were "handed out to them" by the FBI.
