Bandimere Speedway
These are treasures and a shit ton of fun. Go see a drag race before they make that illegal too! Nothing and I mean NOTHING to do with tranny clowns.
"In 1958, John Bandimere Sr. purchased a parcel of land on the west side of Denver nestled up against the Hogback leading up to the Rocky Mountains. He and his family began the process of constructing a small but efficient drag strip that was to be used to augment their auto parts business."
I thought I'd heard of that, I grew up in Littleton in the 80s.
It's Flippin gorgeous. The idea of moving there is overly tempting, minus the California-injected community. But it's one state away. So driving isn't the end of the world.
YASSSS. Serious question. Hiw do you feel about Tony Stewart starting a top fuel team? I think it's great. I see him in top fuel before too long. He's skreafy grabbed at least one, if not a few Wallies in top alcohol.
I'm a big Stewart fan going back to when him and Labonte were teammates. Got to meet Tony at a book signing 20 years ago. I'd love to see him compete anywhere. He's a character in front of the camera so that's also fun.
Go to a national event drag race. All the drivers are accessible. Tony was very cool when I talked to him. His wife is cool too. Definitely top 3 hottest racer out there.
Lucky you're getting rain. It's been bone dry here in the Midwest for near a month, and the crops are failing. One farmer said the ground is dust dry over 9 feet deep, nothing but dry clay. If we don't get even a couple inches of rain in the next 2 weeks all of our crops are done for. You think food prices are bad now, wait until the fall when we don't harvest anything for the winter.
Yeah true here. The pivot behind our house has been pounding nonstop for a week or so....we keep being missed by these storms. Not much sign of life in our local fields.
This is what a particularly harsh El Nino season does. Hot and dry in the north and north east, more moisture in the south and southwest (though I will admit those states desperately need water too). But of course the media will say "Look look! This is evidence of climate change! Quick! Kill all the cows and eat the bugs OR ELSE!"
Because the rivers don't go exactly through our fields, and not every field has irrigation built in (in fact around where I am I'd say 95% DON'T) so yes the rainfall is important.
And get this: the locks and dams on the Mississippi river north of southern MN are CLOSED, meaning no barges or river travel is allowed on the river because the river is TOO SHALLOW for the barges to get through. The barges need a certain depth and the river is too small to get through now. Yes, rainfall is important.
I was at Red Rocks when a deluge hit Steely Dan's opening act (Steve Winwood). I had a rain suit but it was still ridiculous. They had to sweep hail off the stage before Winwood could finish his set.
Bandimere Speedway. This is its last year - I don't know the details but I know they fought the good fight against Jefferson County (one of many pits of corruption btw)(look into Jeffco Sheriff shit around Columbine) against the lockdowns. I went to a rally there with Malkin and a few other local notables speaking.
I think their shutting it down is due to probably the legal issues/costs/however that's going with the county, combined with encroaching neighborhoods across the highway to the east - they probably see the writing on the wall with noise complaints which is just so stupid (Red Rocks is right there too and in the same boat, idiots have moved next to it, so now there are limits on bass and bullshit like that already).
The words "drag strip" conjured a different mental image for me when I first read the title. I saw the lightning and was half expecting to see trannies getting thunderbolted.

Littleton guy here, too ('80-87, eventually southwest to Larkspur 90's-'05)
This is its last year.
Not a pride flag to be seen. EVER. These are my people.
Yes exactly. Gearhead community is pretty based and Christ-loving
Unfortunately one of the tracks on the chopping block.
Username checks out. 👍
Fellow gearhead here. 🚗

We're gonna be in Denver next month. My husband would love to see this!
Finally! A place to take the kids and have them watch somebody blow a tranny!
Misleading Title - I was expecting to see more chicks with dicks.
Nice to see that the Storm is upon us!
Har har. Go to your room.
LOL/huhhhhh.

FFS you have so many rivers, can the midwest not compensate for the lack of rainfall?

I never claimed rainfall wasn't important, and I never will.
Personally, and I predicted this in the past, I believe the Deep State is trying to engineer a famine ahead of an insurrection.

Bandimere Speedway, on Thunder Mountain! 👍
I've seen some wicked storms at that track before......

That looks like a nice track. I'm not familiar with that side of the country. What strip is it?

An all-too-familiar story.
I bet that strip kept thousands of young men away from drugs, mischief and street racing in it's day.
Alot of race venues are closing. Sad to see them go. Another 'family thing to do' which will cease to be.
Same as it ever was.... I can't believe Laguna Seca still exists, to name one obvious one.

Our poor minds have been conditioned to think this way.
at a dragstrip.... was it a....... FORD LIGHTNING???
Bet it was just right before some transgender drag drivers were to race each other down the drag strip as well.
So, now, lightning storms themselves are a sign of us overthrowing the Cabal…ok…..
Sure is.
