Only GOD knows a person's heart or circumstances. I need, want and pray for HIS mercy. Not just for me but for each of HIS children. HE doesn't want to lose one! I refocus on HIM when I find myself standing in judgement of others. I can definitely see if an action is evil, but the final judgement of that soul belongs exclusively to GOD.
But I find it interesting, is that you actually think you’re better than somebody else because you don’t have a tattoo.
That is a slippery slope my Fren.
Can you imagine looking down your nose at somebody because they have a tattoo, because you think you’re better than them.
Lulz!
I’m happy you’re not Jesus.
Thank you Jesus for accepting me as I am, and forgiving me of all of my sins. You owe me nothing, but you gave me everything. I am grateful.
Well said. Amen!
I truly believe that as we go along in this crazy age, "Christians" are going to be shocked at who GOD calls home. Get ready folks because they are going to be pierced, tattooed and have wildly colored hair. Not all of my missteps are so obvious, but I've had them. Rejoice when this happens because the celebration in heaven will be off the chain. 😁
I agree! They’ll be people that you thought for sure we’re gonna be there and won’t, and then they’ll be a bunch of people you thought would never make it and they’ll be there. It’s because Jesus loves the underdogs.
Exactly. GOD looks at those rejected by the world, those seen as worthless and says, I can work with that. Isn't HE awesome?
You're damaging your temple more by creating massive amounts of scar tissue from trying to hide your mistakes instead of owning them.
tats ain't mistakes fren
Depends on your point of view, but I was making an appeal to their logic rather than inserting my opinion on tattoos.
Here we go again.
I agree. Posted something simular. I got downvoted a lot so I deleted it. Sorry you have a few down votes. It shows me most people's hearts are more in line with the world than with God, even here. It's disappointing a long way to go.
Tattoos speak absolutely nothing of morality unless the tattoo itself is satanic.
No argument here. It's just something I would not do. I would not recommend anyone doing it. To me it seems pointless and vain. Something that might be regrettable later.
What do you think the priority should be in this hypothetical? If I’m not Hunter Biden rich and only have enough money for one of these items for my first 12 months after conversion.
How about not getting more tattoos. That's all.
Matthew 7:1 is possibly the most taken out of context verse in the bible. It's constantly used by degenerates and swine to put down Christians for pointing out degeneracy and evil in the world. Matthew 7 isn't saying not to judge other people, it's warning against hypocrisy. All you have to do is read the next line to understand that. "For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again." (Matthew 7:2)
Reading things in context is a lost art. The entire rest of the chapter is about judging things.
The entirety of the Bible and Scripture must be taken in context, otherwise the meaning can easily be twisted to fit a narrative (see: Tiktok "pastors"). Diction and sentence structure also play a part here. Which means that "not all translations are created equal"
Regardless, it's an excellent chapter. My favorite verse:
6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
I follow the two to three witnesses rule when interpreting the Word of God.
If the verse means what I believe it means, I better be able to find at least 1-2 more verses which confirm its meaning elsewhere in the Bible.
Deuteronomy 19:15
One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established.
Matthew 18:16
But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.
Hebrews 10:28
He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
Good rule to keep in mind, thank you!
Great point… the post was referring to judging someone’s heart or their relationship with God… shedding light on Sin is different..
True, and well stated! Oldpatriot makes a great point below, as well.
I know many people that have a excellent outward appearance, but are retarded assholes. I also know some rough guys that look well scary, but they are the nicest of the nice.
Notice the deluded christians judging Jerry Garcia in the meme. He’s the only one with a open Bible.
Thank you for posting this. This is awesome. People forget that Christ did hang out with prostitutes, tax collectors, and the lake.
I think the skull on his shirt may in fact be a sign of his inward heart as well as the snakes on his arm. Which raises the question, why is he wearing that?
What’s wrong with the skulls? We all have them?
Proverbs 8:36
But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.
What does thathave to with skulls?
I’ve always found it very interesting that people view a skull is being something evil. We all have them… Ours just have skin on them.

What does a skull symbolize to you if not death?
Even Wiki is aware there is a societal push to push death as something to celebrate.

No we don't. 5-10 years ago I would see a lot more than now. I asked a young lady why she wore them. She said they represented 're-birth. Go figure. All of the cultural fads weather tattoos piercing or purple hair are a reflection of something I avoid.
For the most part, I can understand what you’re saying, but not everybody that has colored hair is a bad person.
So by ear, you would definitely be avoiding me, and you would’ve missed out on the best day of my life.
God bless and have a great day!

On a sidenote… Because I do have blue hair, they think I’m one of them sometimes. It provides me an opportunity to have conversations with people, and share Jesus with them, while others would not. I find it interesting when I share Jesus with people, and they’re looking at me with blue hair, and they just can’t compute it. It breaks down the programming. It’s very effective.
However; I’ve been coloring my hair for over 15 years. I was doing it when it was not popular. So there are times when I look around and think geez…
What programming are you trying to break down? And why?
I don’t understand the question…
Are you asking me? What type of programming? I’m trying to break down of the liberals?
The answer would be… To share Jesus Christ with them, and for them to know that he loves them and wants to be their, Lord and Savior. Purely for their salvation.
Ok that's what I wasn't sure of. If it helps break through liberal programming that's great. I don't think many people would be able to achieve that. Congrats
Yeah, it’s really interesting. Even during Covid, when I would go to stores and not wear masks, the liberal people that were running, the stores never asked me to wear one. I guess because they thought I was one of them. But they would ask others.
It’s a weird club, and I ain’t in it lol! But I do find such a joy and pleasure in sharing Jesus Christ with the lost. When they hear me use the name of God, or Jesus, with the blue hair, it really does break down some walls. To be quite honest, most people smile and except my comments. This is a big win.
Memento mori
If that is the Punisher Skull, then I would probably overlook it as it is a fairly common and accepted symbol of all people who took a stand against the evils of this world, including the police, military, conservatives, MAGA, and Q.
Yes they have, and I'm done being nice to those who do not practice what they preach.. If you're a cunt, and you wear a cross, I look at you as if you have no idea what that cross stands for, or the amount of suffering a person can go through, imposed by cunts who know nothing.
Not just in church. But on this fucking site, on Twitter, everywhere. It is not anyone place to "allow" or "disallow" sin. Unless someone is violating the consent of another, mind your own business. Pray for people. Love your enemies. Do what the Man SAID.
Just wanted to clarify - are you advocating for Christ followers to sit down and shut up?
That's what it sounds like.
I took it as, « Stop with the holier than thou attitude. »
Titus 2:15
“Declare these things; exhort and rebuke with all authority. Let no one disregard you.”
Revelation 3:19
As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
Well said
I work with a bunch of surly tradesmen but most of the ones I deal with are children of the Almighty and man, am I grateful (even if I spit and cuss most of the day - I need work).
Wait..... did you just judge people for judging?
See how with just the lightest questioning your scripture you referenced in the title falls apart?
Why is that? Because you misused it. The Bible INSTRUCTS Christians to judge..... by GOD's standards, not mans.
I agree with the meme but you need to quit misusing Matt 7:1 You can't even preach the gospel without the judgment of sin.
If your pastor is preaching Judge not without the correct context you need to find a better pastor.
This is absolutely right! The full context describes judging hypocritically, especially if you are judging and are as guilty or more so than the person you are judging.
I am sure the Pharisees judged John the Baptist the same way. Jesus was pretty straight forward about superficial "appropriateness", and how it added up to a big fat zero in his eyes.
Amen
Just one of many reasons I stopped attending church over 30 years ago.
If you can find a Calvary Chapel church in your area, you might want to check it out. Those churches began back in the 1970s as part of the "Jesus Movement", with the recent movie depicting the start of that movement. You can never guarantee that a church won't have "hypocrits" or judgemental people, but the Calvary Chapel churches stick to Biblical teaching and seem, based on the church my wife and I started attending last year, to be full of sincere Christians who try to emulate Jesus.
Smile on them for we do not know who we may be smiling upon.
