The counter offensive, as predicted, was a total catastrophe. They made zero significant progress into the 3rd and 4th line of Russias defense. None. Not a total failure. Russia has lost thousands of tanks and armored vehicles, and will need to replenish missile and artillery stockpiles once this is over. Plus the russian people's stomach for war will be totally full. Not bad for a collection of nations that dont have the political capital to spend on a war. As long as they realize this and cut Ukraine loose, it's a modest win. If they dont realize this and push for direct intervention, we all lose. Toppling Putin or invading Russia was always a bridge too far for this operation.... the biggest loser out of all this is ukraine, who either ceases to exist as a nation, or sacrificed thousands of lives to get a worse deal years later, than they would have gotten if they'd just told NATO to piss off, and negotiated w Russia immediately
You should realize this equipment/meat grinder show has depleted the obsolete arms and ammo accumulated since WW2, then the Cold War- Nato barely has enough to conduct exercises, and the pResident has been depleted our reserves most readily. Russia has stockpiles of Cold War tanks, troop carriers etc that were sacrificed to deplete the 'enemy' resources. In the coming cleanup, the scrap steel will be recycled into, one would hope, plowshres..
