Due to Very inconsistent Power supply here in SA since 2007, and More so in the last 2-3 years we have inadvertently been 'forced' to go off grid...A Lot more houses/Shopping malls/businesses have got either Solar or Huge emergency Generators...Solar rechargeable invertors, lights etc....A lot have their own water supply(Borehole)....And then Gas For Cooking, etc....And All from the Private sector too...They have actually made us prepare for 'disasters' without realizing it...😉😎
That is great actually! We have the technology for every household to be energy independent, at least as much as the essential parts & it is only right that we all should be so. Those solar cell installers are a scam. Anyone can buy the same solar cells & batteries for a fraction & put them up yourself
DONT WORRY. 18 months ago only 142,000 read the LA times. Today I am sure it is even less. And most of those copies are used as toilet paper, LITERALLY.
Back in the 90s when I watched the news daily something struck me about this. When the news first came on they talked about the crimes, house break ins etc. Then the weather guy comes on. He would say it's going to be cool enough tonight to sleep with the windows open. I'm at home thinking I'm not leaving windows up to make it easy for crooks.
How true, what our country has come to, although CA has, and will probably, be/been on the cutting edge of taking citizen's rights away for a very long time. Once it was red, Ronald Regan was the governor, now...
This question is proof that the Deep State LA officials has money laundered tax payer funds that were supposed to improve/expand on the cities infrastructure, including internet technology. They're incompetent and they have their marching orders from the puppet masters for election 2024 censorship. This is a 'test run'. They're telling everyone what is going to happen.
Will StarLink be enough? If it is, it's one way to stop the censorship by watching subscribers switch from their current internet providers to StarLink.
They're setting the stage (it could be a White Hat Operation) ... Will we see a StarLink ad/marketing campaign about to launch?
I lived in Zambia for a while and they have rolling blackouts all the time. Strangely, it hasn’t done a lick for global warming. It’s also freaking annoying.
This happens consistently in third world and in some second world countries. It’s another measure of control by the overarching state. The controlling powers want subjects, not citizens. When this starts happening in the U.S. (and it will), you’ll know we are close to the end and TPTB are finalizing their plans for complete control. Be ready, you should have been making preparations awhile ago.

I must just add that when SA was under a white minority Government(Politics aside) Eskom our SOE was the Top Electricity generating Company worldwide...we exported power all over Africa when i was growing up.. I Never experienced a single blackout.. The ANC (Black majority Government) inherited a perfect working system and because they don't understand the concept of maintenance they ran it into the ground...
Very true. I remember that in my youth, and had friends that loved going to S.A. It’s been heartbreaking to watch the demise through the years of a once great country. That’s the problem with being so aware of the world and traveling (glad that I did, when I had the chance), you see all these countries and cities sliding down this path to internal destruction and being helpless to do anything about it.
"Move everything to electric so we can shut you down any time we want to!"
THIS!

And use smart meters so we can do it remotely.
Tired of this garbage. The agenda is clear; ban gas, force everything to be electric, cut power, seize control. No thanks.
Also, “occasional” will mean 20 hours a day within a decade of implementing it.
I think an occasional execution would make the problem go away completely.
After a fair trial, of course.
LA Times..."Would an occasional blackout help solve climate change?" Answer.."Only if the blackout shut down the LA Times printing presses."
You have the solution right here! If you shut down the MSM and de-swamp the government, climate change is solved.

You know what would really help? If things were safe enough to leave windows open at night for cooling.
I just realized I'm writing this in response to the LA Times. KEK!

Blackouts = decline of civilization
I Know...Been happening here in SA since 2007...
SA came to mind when I saw the headline...
👍😉
Zim also. 4 coal plants when the Rhodesian left, all operating. One still operating in 08 when I was there.
And Africa is a resource rich continent.
Just grooming, to prepare us for what they have in stock for us.
If they only knew what many have in stock for them..
Waiting for: “Experts agree euthanizing non-elites is the most effective way to fight climate change and anti-semitism”
oh, yes, take the power away --at will!!!!

South Africa is a template...

Just for two weeks.
there's an old saying in journalism: if you have to phrase the headline as a yes/no question, the answer is probably "no".
