- The new vaccines target the XBB.1.5 variant
- Almost everyone should get the new shot — especially older adults
- THE VACCINE SIDE EFFECTS ARE THE SAME
- You can get your COVID and flu shots at the same time
- Vaccines are still free for most
EVIDENTLY they want us DEAD!
AARP is and always has been a leftist group. I went with AMAC a long time ago. AMAC is a conservative (fighting to keep America Great) advocacy group.
https://amac.us/
I went with AMAC a long time ago. AARP pushed Obamacare and that is what woke me up and made me go with AMAC
So now you're woke?
A lot of folks here might be too young to remember this, but way back in the 1980s AARP began endorsing gun control legislation. I don't think they ever softened their stand on that, so a few years ago I started getting solicitation from AARP as I approached 50. At first I tore them up and threw them away, but then I started filling their PAID POSTAGE envelopes with my other junk mail (for which they had to pay postage) and sent it back to them.
Finally some representative called me. How they got my number I'll never know, but some goofus representing AARP called me on my phone with a membership offer. I recall the satisfaction I felt after calling him, the AARP, and anyone associated with them Communists.
His reaction was priceless... but I never heard from them again.
You win a meme with Gangsta glasses and chain!!!
Well done! I salute you Sir! o7
We told our friends about their support of Obamacare but didn't realize they were pushing gun control also... can't wait to tell hubby.
Based. I’m gonna save that one for later
Have you ever asked why those over 65 get a stronger flu shot? That tells you all you need to know. During Covid a renal specialist told my husband that with his renal disease he needed to get the Covid shot. That was the first and last time we ever saw him. I trust no one in the medical community anymore. AARP is pro abortion and a very Leftist organization.
Remember Biden saying to Floridians get the covid jab because it makes surviving a hurricane easier? LMAO at these stupid idiots
But retired persons can't afford to get pregnant, so makes sense that they should support abortion. /S
I am nearing 50. My plan is to never take any "vaccine" of any kind for the rest of my life. I used to take the flu shot b/c pediatricians said it was so important when we had small children. I am awake now and know these pediatricians aren't looking at any data, they are pushing what they are told to push or what makes them richer.
Yeah I heard they want seniors to take the new covid jab, flu shot and rsv vaccine all at once. Insane.
I wished I could take back all my childhood shots.
No vaxx and no "discovery" tests - on Monday I see my anti-vaxx doc because of Medicare. I will flat out tell him that besides him, I have zero faith in the medical establishment and that means no screenings. If I get an illness, I'll deal with it. I don't trust anything that would go into my body to light up on a scan nor do I trust their probes.
You found an anti-vaxx doc, that is great, I don't have a doc, b/c I can't find out I have any respect for.
Thought I might have to look for one but whenI went to see the doc he asked me how I felt about the vaxx so I told him. He said he felt the same way and he refused to give it to his patients.
that is great, maybe I will find one someday. :)
I hope you do, friend,
And shingles !
Association for Accelerated Retardation Protocol.
Another Association of Retarded People.
I remember before this fake vax, back when they flooded commercials with people over 50 need a vax for whooping cough. They said you will make newborns sick and you need to get it to protect your grandchildren.
My daughter had the audacity to tell me when my grandson was born I couldn't see him unless I got it.
I blew up and said first of all I had whooping cough when I was 13 and I have immunity.
Second I am refusing it.
Third so be it if you don't let me see him.
She never stopped me.
Sometimes you need to stand up to your children. I read here that many people got vaxes because their children threatened the same thing during covid.
We were told to get jab so we don't kill grandma
All 5 of my kids had whooping cough...the yougest was 6 months and the oldest was 9...they were unvaxxed...it is a terrible disease but thank God they all survived. I almost lost confidence in my decision not to vax my kids...this was a very unpleasant time in my life...but I sure learned a lot about myself and life in general. We do come through the fire "refined"...
Amen.
AARP supported Obamacare and profited a great deal from that association. That was when I cut my ties with them and never looked back...

AARP probably wrote Obummercare!
Or at least whoever influences AARP influenced Obummercare...nothing would surprise me anymore...
That's why you don't belong to AARP.
How about GFYS AARP
AMAC is a better resource for retirees
Agree, then they keep more of the Medicare-SS $$$ we have paid into the system throughout our working life

AARP is probably a CIA op. They seek to influence politics among the elderly, in a way that has nothing to do with their stated reason for existing. What do they do with all the dues they collect?
They donate it to the Democrat party !
They love the D.
Probably use the dues to procure young children, just like the rest of the cabal orgs.
Gotta get the old people off of their pensions and SSN
It's one way to keep the ponzi scheme running
AARP . Just say no to AARP
I had a minor issue and went to a clinic, then an ER and then a specialists.
2 out of 3 asked me if I had a recent tetanus shot, I said I had to talk to my pastor first.
the pharmacy asked me if I wanted a free flu shot
I declined.
Whatever is wrong with these people, I don't want to have anything to do with them.
Tetanus shot is different. Tetanus, or lockjaw, is a horrific illness that you would not wish on anyone - certainly not yourself or your children. You should get a tetanus booster every ten years.
Like ivermectin, horses get tetanus shots, too. And the thrive with both.
You're right. Except in many places, like our clinics in my network, the tetanus is combined with pertussis and diptheria. I just don't want to go that route so I'm about 13 years needing a tetanus shot. I don't know what will be in that needle, thus my hesitation.
IF and only if,, the wound is deep with less bleeding than expected (wounds pucker up) then a tetanus shot would be good-a laceration that is bleeding well is self cleaning and requires butterfly bandage or stitches. I once had a head wound from a hanging gutter (this was after the 1972 flood of Corning NY) and when I went into the clinic, I told the staff to just stitch it up w/o any numbing shots. I saw a video of how lecerations were numbed up with too many pushes of the syringe on both sides of the wound.. 😣
Homeopathy can help with that! https://joettecalabrese.com/blog/holy-cow-blood-poisoning/?amp=1
I never joined AARP and aim 70. Even my dad a conservative back in the day wouldn’t join them either. They’ve been on the side of the left (deep state) for years
Yep.
AARP's an extension of the Democratic party. Mom refused to join as do I.
Nice share. Fuck ‘em.
🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕 There... one for each.
they absolutely want us "useless eaters" dead.
Fuck AARP
I'm going to get a lot of shit for this post, but I'm going to post it anyway. I made a commitment many years back to help people live healthier lives according to the best information we have, and I'll stand by it. Cheap preventative care including vaccines is by far one of the simplest, most cost effective ways to do that.
Re: AARP recommends 8 vaccines for people over 50

Just because the COVID vaccines are bad does not imply that they all are. Each and every one of these drugs is its own entity and has to be evaluated separately. The COVID vaccines all rely on the spike protein. That protein is pro-inflammatory and that's what's driving the side effects we keep hearing about: blood clots, -itises, infertility claims, strange neurologic symptoms, etc. All of that is coming from people's reactions to the inflammatory effects in the vessels from the spike protein. Each of us is different and millions seem to have no issues with it at all, but some are keeling over dead in the prime of their lives. The FDA should have pulled these from the market if they had any integrity at all. The reason I don't recommend these is that the benefit for most people is tiny and the risks aren't tiny. But reverse that situation, let's say it's ebola and it kills 60% of the people it infects, that changes the calculus. We should always carefully weight risks and benefits in each of our own situations.
The annual flu shot is its own issue. It's got terrible efficacy, typically 30-60% in any given year. But, if you have high risk, that may save your life. Over 65, essentially any race but white, lung disease, heart or vascular disease, etc (there are 9 major risk factors). If you have these, flu shot's mostly harmless, and maybe you benefit. Insurance will cover it, so it's free to you at the window after your premiums. It's an entirely different risk-benefit analysis.
The singles shot is its own issue. It is very effective. They used to give a live vaccine which had more caveats and side effects. Shingrix is newer and over 90% effective. Side effects are quite manageable. It's a 2-shot series. But if you've ever had chickenpox, the varicella virus is dormant in your nerves and if your immunity wanes, it can reactivate and create a very painful rash. I've had it, not much fun. Most insurers cover it.
The pneumococcal (bacterial pneumonia) shot is its own issue. It, too, is very effective. I have to be careful with this one because when I trained, it was the PCV13 and PPSV23 vaccines which have a very long track and proven track record of safety. Over the past few years, FDA has approved a PCV15 and PCV20 which add coverage for several more serotypes. They're chemically very similar, but we don't have a decade of safety data to rely on. But, what we do have shows high efficacy and good safety. Why do you need it? If you get a pneumonia, chances are, it'll be viral, but the catch is that bacteria settle in opportunistically and cause a secondary pneumonia behind it that kills people and it's preventable. Again, if you have risk factors like lung disease or weakened immunity, this can save your life. Again, most insurers cover it.
(edit) The remaining 3 are hepatitis A and B and Tdap (tetanus). HepA and HepB you get if you have risk factors only, really. Your doctor should tell you. Tdap has two indications. You get the tetanus booster every 10 years to refresh the protection. The p component is for pertussis, whooping cough, and you need that once per lifetime. You get this if you're going to be around children, like your grandkids, so that they don't catch it from you. (end edit)
Just because the COVID vaccines are bad news, don't write off the other shots that may indeed be of real value to you and your health. Each of us is different. Each of our choices should be individualized. So talk to an actual doctor or pharmacist and have a science-based discussion. I'm not going to force you to do anything. If you want to put your faith in God, then by all means, may He bless you with a long and healthy life. All I'm saying is don't write off all medicine because some of them are bad.
Quick add-on:
There's a new vaccine for RSV (respiratory syntactical virus) this year that's being pushed hard. There are two manufacturers: GSK and Pfizer. The data on each is very similar: safe and effective. RSV is a respiratory virus that kills a similar number of seniors to flu, not quite as many, but still high. If you have risk factors, like lung disease or compromised immunity, or a complex medical history, you should do a thorough assessment of your risk with your doctor. You may want that protection. However, if you're not interested in trusting "safe and effective" until there are a season or two of post-marketing data, that's a very fair position as well, especially after the egregious breaches of trust with COVID.
I think I'll pass on all of them myself. Everyone has to make a choice and mine is to not believe anything coming out of Big Pharma.
RSV push is also a pressure tactic against the elderly.
