You are correct. Channels will appear with B+ to A production values, have 100,000 subs and climb to over a million in months. Also one thing I noticed is, Tech Reviewers, during the Election, who never, ever ever ever talked politics in their videos, (I watch a ton of them) slipped in jabs at Trump out of the blue on all their channels within days of each other.
If true, that is a pretty good sign that funding was given to them for those opinions.
