Several years ago, my wife was concerned that I carried every day. But over the years, and given the daily headlines, she no longer even mentions it. I think it gives her a sense of safety when we're out in public.
I carry w me everywhere I don’t have to go through a metal detector. Signs, alcohol, etc. be damned. I’m about to start carrying something concealable in a backpack that’s rifle caliber. Also have an IFAK with me at most times.
Sweet. The only problem with IFAK kits is that they don't (and legally cannot) have pain killers such as morphine injections. A huge part of treating a trauma and keeping a patient from going into shock is to deaden the pain.
I believe the only ones available are with drugs for typical ailments, prescription level stuff, but no pain killers. That's a weak link (IMHO) of any emergency medical kit. I've read of natural pain killers, like wild lettuce being boiled down to a thick concentrate and added to tea to help with pain, but for the kind of America we might all be facing, true med kits, military grade, with pain killers, bandages, scalpels, forceps, and all the rest might be mandatory.
I have enough gov provided medical training to equate to EMT-B. Knowing how to use all of gear is critical. I wish I had the opportunity to train more.
But yes, there may come a time when we’re on our own. I’ve got heavy stock of meds, prescription and OTC, including pain meds. But not the type you need for battlefield trauma. That’s very hard to come by.
You really out to get some MMS kits which is the Sodium Chlorite, and HCL. Not only will it cure everything most other prescriptions will including Ivermectin, but you can also use it to purify water.
I would also have some DMSO on hand for things like stroke, heart attack.
my 9 goes everywhere I go but an AR pistol with a cpl 30 mags in the truck may come in handy especially if we have to bug out fast, it will already be in there

Ruger 10/22 takedown breaksdown to be quite small and is a very accurate rifle as long as the iron sights stay true. Also, you can get a 50 round drum mag for it. With that, don't really need accuracy at 4 cents a round.

Same here. I always carry, unless I'm going somewhere that has metal detectors at the door, and the only place that does that is the county courthouse, in which I've never been anyway.

Exactly, they have Air Pistols that use CO2 to propel pepper rounds and some rounds are designed/capable of penetrating skin. Either way, if trained properly you could really fuck someone up with one of these. Albeit, you aren’t going to go toe to toe with someone who is armed with a real weapon. But if they have a knife and they see you draw an air gun and you start firing they won’t think fast enough to understand you have a less than leathal gun. Just aim for the face and they’ll retreat.
!Not safety advice just use common sense! Do some research on what tool will work best. I walk my dogs at night and carry a CO2 pistol in case of a stray dog - not really concerned about coyotes- I’ve actually come across a few packs over the years and they want nothing to do with my German Shepherds but you never know.
A buddy of mine showed me his "air" gun that I was laughing at until he demonstrated how powerful it can be.
It isn't lethal in most circumstances, though it is still something that was able to penetrated suede on a gelatin form. I wouldn't want to have to have it dug out.
My brother in law has an Airforce Texan, .45 air gun, that thing is not a toy. They had a video on their website of someone taking a large Cape buffalo in Africa. His has a full barrel suppressor and is very stealthy.

Yup, we don’t fuck around here. I carry according to how I’m dressed, and where I’m going. My favorite carry is .357SIG. Those rounds have so much KE. I’ll be carrying big when we can wear jackets here. For now, everything is about as big as I can carry.
Also, don’t forget your spare mags/moon clips if you’re a wheel gunner. Stay safe out there, all.
Dang, I guess I’ll put up the Ruger LCP9 and step up to the Walther PDP now. I hate carrying that thing it’s too big, but it’s getting cooler and can wear the shoulder rig I guess. I’m not a SIG or Glock fan really, anyone here carry a p365 and how do you like it? Might hit the sweet spot between the Ruger and Walther. Seems like every Sig needs to be redesigned after it comes out for one reason or another.
Bought the S&W 40 shield a lil while back. Still haven't carried it or fired it but it fits in my hand nicely and that's why I bought it. My other Smiths have never let me down.
My son carry’s a shield, I like it in my hand, it’s nothing like my PPQ’s or PDP. I think Walthers are awesome but their smaller guns leave a lot to be desired. The Walther CCP is not actually made by Walther and is not of the same quality, even though it fits my hand like a glove. I appreciate the feedback, thanks.

Sigs tolerances are too tight. Smith Shields are very nice.
