"Hydrogen Fuel Cell" is just a battery; and it's an inefficient battery, far less efficient than the typical Lithium battery you find in a Tesla.
The advantage to a HFC is you can fill up the tank with liquid hydrogen (just like filling up a gas tank), but the disadvantage is hydrogen is made by running LOTS of electricity through distilled water; this breaks the water molecules into their component Hydrogen and Oxygen atoms. You need to produce a lot of electricity to produce the hydrogen, then use a lot more electricity to cool it enough that it condenses to liquid. When put into a tank, that liquid hydrogen produces a moderate amount of electricity in a HFC.
That's like saying a 'battery' is tiny and only powers flashlights.....see? Holds up AAA battery.
Yea it is. A very costly battery to produce. One that so inefficiently leverages resources to produce energy that it’s creating more of the problem it was designed to resolve - namely reducing emissions. So your point again?
I didn't make points. I stated facts You're trying to make a moot point that was handled by the fact that solar power can be utilized, new more efficient batteries are being designed specifically for the use with H fuel cell tech and a couple of other yet unmentioned techniques available. Nobody made any claims of 'free energy' or 'zero energy loss' or whatever you might want to imagine. Your current understanding isn't the bar height, just saying. See what I did there?
Fair point, but now think of the amount of energy needed to create each gallon of gasoline or diesel. Just because we've refined and optimized the process and it takes place behind the scenes n most ways, doesn't mean the tremendous expenditures don't exist in pumping the oil, transporting it, refinement, transport again, then more processing/mixing, then transportation to a distribution center, then delivery. That's just to a gas station.
The real issue isn't emissions, that is just a smoke screen (pun intended).
The issue is, once the initial infrastructure is built out, is the sustained creation of the fluid justified in lower costs, and less overall energy to create the product.
Secondary concerns include stable storage, distribution, volume of product supply meeting demand, disaster impact and recovery and containment considerations, cost analysis along the entire supply chain, etc.
Emissions is more for the politicians to figure out.
You are confusing amperage with voltage. Both can produce hydrogen through electrolysis one is a measure of the rate of waste and the other is a difference in potential that accomplishes the same thing at a much lower rate of waste. I reject your opinion
Sticky for interest! This is very cool! Hydrogen Fuel Cels should be the future of energy. It’s as easy to get as a drink of water. Kek!
"watch the water" - it will disapear due to the climate catastrophe - NOT!
This looks into hydrogen energy in detail, and more besides. Seems there is a downside: WAR - NEW Fuel/Hydrogen from Water 💧 - MASSIVE 🧠BRAIN CONTROL - Patents Prove This!

I see hydrogen as being more of a "battery" than a "fuel". That is because you don't just come across free hydrogen that you can capture and put in your tank. Instead you start with water and add then add the energy you expect to get out. You need to do that to separate the hydrogen from the oxygen. You only get back what you put in, usually slightly less.
Like a battery, it sits there until you charge it up then you get back what you put in minus its "percentage".
Laws of thermodynamics:
You can't win.
You can't break even.
You can't leave the game.
If my thermodynamics lecturer had put it like that it would have done wonders for my learning experience!
MINE TOO...WOWZA!!!!!
They turned science into a religion. Back in the day they said that heavier than air flight was impossible and then a couple of Brothers who didn't finish High School proved them wrong
Well, that is clearly wrong. Birds.
What I always said...😂
India and Saudi Arabia
Is this timing is a "coincidence"?

The dirty little secret is HYDROGEN IS AN ENERGY STORAGE MEDIUM, NOT AN ENERGY SOURCE. For all practical purposes hydrogen must be separated from other materials using some other form of energy. Extracting energy from hydrogen simply releases approximately the same amount of energy that it took to separate it in the first place.
Hydrogen is a storage medium, it is not energy. It takes more energy to create than it gives off.
Bob Lazar has had a hydrogen fueled corvette for 30 years. Just add water! Where would we be now if all these inventions were not suppressed?
YESS! I was about to mention that but I couldn't remember his name. I was thinking "the inventor with spectacles who worked at area 51". There's a video of him discussing his car. He set up a home plant to generate hydrogen and to store it in cylinders containing a chemical compound which, apparently, it's illegal to sell but legal to make - but requires very specialised equipment.

I’m in the “hydrogen fuel” camp! Hoping some great minds can bring around some super affordable vehicles that are hydrogen powered (and the hydrogen fuel is obtained in a clean/easy way, like from saltwater from the ocean if that is possible).
I don't think that saltwater extraction is feasible because you'd end up with chlorine gas as well! You have to use distilled water.
Hydrogen is cheap...the hardware used to create it is readily available, but not cheap but there is a ROI on it's use provided the hardware doesn't become problematic.
I've been considering a test bed for residential hydrogen power/generator.
Collect Rain water Ozone/Filter system for the water to clean it up. Crack the Hydrogen from the water, release the O2. (Industrially avail. Electrolysis for the cracking but not cheap.) Modify a Generac to burn hydrogen to power dwelling or charge a power wall. In time the automation of control via a Raspberry PI. Powered by a few solar panels by day switch to power wall after sundown.
Just an idea I've kicked a around for a couple years now.
I think your cracking of the H2O into is constituent parts will be the hardest part. Sure, electrolysis can do the job, but it takes a while for that process to happen. Unless you can string together a bunch of crackers. Then the storage of the hydrogen will be ssssommmmewhat problematic, but overcomeable. What will you power the crackers with? Hydro or solar panels? Lots of $$ just for the infrastructure and then the results will be slow to collect and not much product. I remember my high school science projects with cracking H2O in a test tube. Slow but interesting.
One Industrial unit I looked at provided enough volume to run the generator, I thought my problems would lay in getting it dialed in for hydrogen, but in powering the set up 2500k of solar with a dual redundant powerwall one discharging the other charging...my meter's is on the guest house making it easy to zero out the usage in the main house...cheap no...just barely possible yes..
Over 20 years ago, I was a fly on the wall at a meeting I wasn't classified to hear officially. I was literally outside the tent but could hear. It was a meeting between corporate (a utility company), research (local University) and dark military intel. The discussion was about the Hydrogen Fuel Cell and how it was going to be used to power troops in the Mideast. They could run small towns from the generators used. "In a discussion with Woolsey of the CIA, we decided to utilize this new energy source to help achieve our military goals. When I said that we chose this base for operations, I was asked....why here? I say....why not?"
LOL I found that rather interesting, considering he'd just asked me what the place was about 20 minutes earlier. Showing a top-down collusion attempt to control a 'new' form of energy and bringing utility companies into the mix when in fact, it should replace them.
Hydrogen Fuel Cell technology is the future. Own it.
Is this HHO or hydrogen? HHO and hydrogen cannot be stored for any length of time as they will eat their way through any containment vessel and HHO cannot be compressed as it will explode.
But if they have found some was of making a containment vessel that can take 2,000 psi and can store hydrogen safely, thats the way to do it!
HHO does need electricity to make it, what power source makes this electricity?
An electric field seperates the oxygen from the hydrogen.
In the past, this was done by passing water over copper plates attached to an acid battery.
I think you misunderstand me, what I am getting at is where does this electricity come from in a closed system like a ship, a diesel generator?
Water can be split using photo-catalysis that uses solar power directly instead of electricity, but it’s less efficient since water only absorbs a small range of the light spectrum.
It’s been the lack of an efficient, low-cost catalyst for the oxygen molecules that’s been holding the full-scale extraction of hydrogen back. Up until now, oxygen catalysts have been based on scarce, expensive metals such as iridium, platinum, or ruthenium. Canadian Department of Energy’s SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory and the University of Toronto announced the discovery of a new oxygen catalyst gel based on iron, cobalt and tungsten that triggers an evolution reaction in oxygen three times faster than previous catalysts and retained stability through hundreds of reaction cycles.
Thanks. If it is HHO, the electronic circuitry is the main thing, its inventor was killed to stop him releasing the details of this.
He wasn't the inventor, only showed how it can be utilized in a car. Poor guy.
An ancestor created the Hendershot Generator. You should read what happened to HIM.
Here is what Nature has to say about it.

That's a paysite.
I understand the principles and possible uses (some) of hydrogen fuel cell tech which is real.
A source from the paysite:
Wu, L., Wang, D. & Evans, J. A. Nature 566, 378–382 (2019).
I love the fun that the God of Names is having.
Wu Wang was the emperor of the Zhou Dynasty in China often said to be it's greatest dynasty.
Evans family intermarried into the Hollingsworth naval shipbuilding family and so began a cozy relationship with an Evans serving as admiral in the Rogue Sixth Fleet over generations much like NoName's tradition.
Pirates were international intelligence in their day. And blackhats for a price.
The pirate families 'parlay'ed their relation-ships as traders/traitors into a thing today called 'Globalism'.
Only when we 'man-up' and take control of our own lives through knowledge and understanding (love) can we avoid the pitfalls of ignorance.
Or as it's said in China: As a result of the return of masculinity (Fu) there is no pretence (不妄); therefore Wu Wang is granted.
Sailing through the three gorges dam I thought was breaking a year ago?
How much energy does it take to split H2O into H and O?????
Very little.
Folks: Watch the Water: Hydrogen fuel cell's only emission is clean water, solving two issues in one.
Find ways to become self-sufficient with this tech....do NOT allow utility companies to dole it out to you.
The point of this is to get the left to scream, china is beating us in green energy, so we'll piss away money as china eats our lunch with oil and coal.
They killed that guy who modified his Chevy S10 to run on water and took his tech, didn't they...
