Johnson was interviewed by Hannity last night and they discussed the funding of Ukraine/Israel and such. Johnson does not intend to throw money at these countries... if he is true to his words in this interview, he is going to implement some very common sense things attached to the funding measures. One of the most important ones, in my mind, is he's not sending money we don't have by firing up the printing presses, but will rather seek budget cuts elsewhere to pay for it.
Apologies for the youtube link, but it's the best one I could find quickly. Start watching at the 16 minute mark through 19:30 or so. Hannity is nearly unbearable to listen to, but I think Johnson's remarks are very noteworthy. Let's hope he carries through on the things he says in this interview.

Bullshit. Fuck. That. No. More. Foreign. Aid. Period.
This. Foreign countries can hate us for free. We don't need to pay them to do so.
Isolationism FTW.
Perfect choice of words. I echo that!
Thats what should happen. Thats what I want. Thats what most want. Now, knowing how bad Biden wants it. What can we get out of it? At the very least leverage. Build the border wall, deport the illegals, or maybe even something bigger like going after the Covid liars?
The money needs to stop. But the promis of that money is a very powerful tool. And that is how DC works. He throws funding off the table he has killed his own leverage.
Agree. Why are us taxpayers footing the bill for everything in other countries. Let their taxpayers foot the bill.
People LOVE to overreact, not think things through, and doom over headlines.
He's still sending your money to Ukraine. Except now the government is cutting stuff for the people to pay for it.
They will not agree to cuts = no money.
Yup. He is using "politician talk" to say- we are not sending money, without saying "we are not sending money." Congress critters are not going to cut spending for their own pet projects to send to Zelensky, and he knows it.
We should cut and not send any money. The debt is insane rn.
Agree 100%
Sauce?
If so, that will wake up even more people as to the politicians priorities. McCarthy opened eyes. Johnson may be another short term eye opener.
Yup! Take a look at his history in voting, he is from an extremely conservative are of LA. He came out of nowhere, was endorsed by trump. IMO, LA has played a major role in the fight quietly. Look at all the suits Jeff Landry filed, over mandates, covid, green deal, federal waterways… Now he’s governor. People are pissed about foreign aid, we’ve known what was going to happen at the border. We have to get the entire country to unite, now people are seeing what sanctuary cities and open borders mean. Let’s do foreign aid now! People forget this fight is a battle on many fronts. Sometimes it’s hard to keep it all together but when you sail to the 40,000 ft view, were watching it all play out.
"Johnson [says] he does not intend to throw money at these countries" What did McCarthy agree to to keep his speakership? Anyone want to remind me? (Sarcasm)
"but will rather seek budget cuts elsewhere to pay for it." How about not sending a penny to other countries until our border is completely fixed and our economy is back on track? We're already trillions in debt and our country is on the verge of complete destruction.
"he is going to implement some very common sense things"
there is zero "common sense" angle in regards to sending money to ukraine. thats the problem.
We need a moritorium on foreign aid. Indefinitely. The federal government should not be in the business of shipping our money overseas to corrupt countries. If there is a worthy cause to support abroad, private individuals can donate if they like. No one should be forced to support foreign entanglements through the involuntary confiscation of wealth via taxation.
They also know - they'd never collect the trillions that it is that they seek via emotional tithing and donations, so they have to steal it without your permission instead.
We need a moratorium on everything that has to do with anything foreign!
Remain calm. We are propping up the civilian stuff until Trump ends the war.
Why doesn't anyone just stop and ask one question.
...HOW DOES THIS BENEFIT THE PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES...
We have no reason to spend any more money as the world's charity without knowing exactly how is this helping us in any way? We know the answer, but for fucks sake doesn't anybody care anymore? 🤡🌎
Cut politician’s salaries and fund the border instead.
Bullshit.
They can cut spending ANYWAYS to help with inflation.
We should not be GIVING our hard earned money away.
If anything, make it a LOAN with INTEREST and PAYBACK TIMELINES.
OR collateral. Like resources or land.
Not a SINGLE country comes to the USA aid. Never will.
Only France way back when. And they were promised things in exchange so it wasn't free.
EXACTLY!
Why does giving people money have to be incentive to make cuts?
I think what DC does is give the money above board, in front of the cameras, and then the Loan Repayment part is backdoor deals and diplomatic pouches stuffed with cash coming back to bribe the politicians.
When you see some jackass politican visiting some country in crisis like Ukraine they are just bagmen bringing back diplomatic pouches full of cash and sensitive in person communications, period. The rest is a show to make it appear legit.
"Budget Cuts".
Adorable.
Johnson was elected as Speaker of the House, Not "Dictator" of the House. With his very small and tenuous margin of control, he can guide and influence issues but anyone who expects him to totally stop funding for Israel or Ukraine are in for a big disappointment. The best we can hope for at the beginning is for him to slow things down, put restriction on and require accountability. If he can stop the practice of using omnibus spending bills to fund the government, he might actually succeed.
Man, Seems like a snake politician to me. Anyone knowing how fucked up our own country is would say no border, no funding anywere. Period.. Were getting fucked every second of every day. This guy…. Not liking him so far.
Even if he cut spending so he can send that money to Ukraine the USA loses. He should be cutting fat so we don’t have to borrow as much money from China. Taking some of the fat, which might be going to Americans somehow, and sending to to a foreign country is just a lose lose for America. Imagine borrowing money from your bank, because you don’t have a penny in your pocket, and then giving it to a complete stranger who hates your guts. Makes sense doesn’t?
If he followed through with absolute transparency exactly as he claims, we would STILL be giving up our tax dollars to support corrupt governments that are hostile toward our country and its people.
That will start the debate coming hard when he starts defending all the lefts pet social projects to pay for it lol. Left will change their minds.
The height of insanity is borrowing money to run your country, but sending it to other countries. Basically borrowing money to give away. It doesn't get any more stupid.
