Everyone should read the EMP Commission report in addition to One Second After. That book was what finally woke my wife out of the slumber. Ironically, she’s taking my son and his GF shopping right now and loading them up w supplies for SHTF for their new apartment in the city. Ironically, I live close to Black Mountain now after decades of living at Ground Zero aka The Beltway aka DC. In hindsight, I should have realized they would never nuke Washington.
Tucker mentioned ICBMs. 'wouldn't be a need, just an EMP would take us down'. Wouldn't the most damaging time to send those ICBMs towards the continental US is right after an EMP attack? not only are we crippled with our domestic operations, but our military defenses are not working either.
If an Emp happens then the white hats have lost. If this is a movie then there is a scary scene coming up. A real emp would be catastrophic and we may as well all just take the jab.
If there is MASSIVE death via anything like an EMP or a virus released that kills 75% of people, they lost and it is over. My faith would be gone in this whole thing.
I highly recommend One Second After and its two companion novels if you want to get a clear picture of an EMP attack. The power goes out for YEARS as all manufacturing is taken back to the 1800s in an invisible flash. Anything with tiny wires now has melted wires. No refrigeration means all diabetics perish first. It's a gut-wrenching story.
Great book. A bit unnerving to read though. Author got all his info from the best EMP expert in our military. So much so that there were things he was told not to print for national security reasons and other things they would not share with him.
Newt Gingrich did the honors by writing the forward for the novel. I remember Newt educating America about EMP preparedness during his presidential campaign.
If any significant portion of the US is hit by an EMP, the nation would be crippled and if large enough destroyed. Within weeks we’d be well in to MadMax/Walking Dead territory. MILLIONs would die. It would result in a massive depopulation. If you account for the millions of illegals forming roving bands of warlords and bandits as well as the gangs and starving people who were formally law abiding…let’s hope that this is not ‘the plan’ or we’ve all been grossly duped.
I forgot the Deagle Report. Between the vax and WW3 and the cyber attack that’s worse than lockdowns as promised by Klaus Schwab and the engineered food crisis, it could be possible.
I remember in the 'rocket man' years it was said NK has a satellite that crosses the USA twice a day that is capable of causing an EMP. Not new except for the players.
The strength of an EMP pulse is the inverse of the radius cubed. 1/r^3 Which means that the power of the electromagnetic (light) pulse dramatically declines as the distance from the blast increases.
A big EMP pulse (explosion) probably has an effective damaging radius of about a mile. Any more distance and the EMP pulse is little more than a normal power spike that the transformers can easily handle.
The above physics is why no one tries to use a Nuclear EMP strike.
The truly scary thing is that the same thing could happen from a solar storm and coronal mass ejections.
When it comes to EMPs caused by hostile countries, we have the hope that they would be too scared of mutually assured destruction to go through with it or WHs will be able to stop them in time.
But there is no controlling what the sun does. No hoping it chooses not to flare up. And it could take out entire continents and hemispheres at once.
Would we be able to respond? Are you thinking that even multiple EMPs wouldn't cover that much area over the US? And could we even figure out who launched the EMP against us? who left cocaine in the white house?
There is a YouTube channel. The host will travel around the world and at the same time promote prepping. I guess there is prepping conferences.
I have to laugh at anyone who goes to a prepping conference.
I am censored heavy on YouTube, however I have asked the guy many times things like. What happens if you are at a prepping conference in Canada and all your stuff is at home when the stuff is turned off?
No one is going to be prepared but many will be aware. In cities they will be chaos. In suburbs there will be a choice. The ones in the country will be assurance. The cities will flee but will not make it. The suburbs will attempt to flee to the country but will not make it. Those who do as what God says will be fine.
If Tucker is correct and an EMP (which really has been talked about for decades) indeed happens. Even if you are 20 miles from home working — it will be like trying to get to another planet.
When 9-11 happened I was hundreds of miles from home and I took country roads and stayed away from gas stations and traffic jams. Many things to consider.
I don't agree with the idea that rural people will be safe from violence.
People fleeing the cities and suburbs will be heading for the sticks after things go down. They know that's where the peppers are. They know that's where the food is. They know that lower population density gives them a better chance of avoiding violence from others.
And they'll be desperate. It's not like they won't be able to find guns in the cities.
Could you explain why you think people in the cities wouldn't be able to leave the cities and come to rural areas? Because I really don't understand that reasoning.
It is a very large algorithm that is all theory and also depends on location.
Temperature plays a huge role.
All humans need water.
Cities are built on a platform of supply and demand. Even commie cities have supply and demand.
In my opinion this in cities might be better to have a week supply of water in your home and if the emp does happen and things are not corrected to at least water working within a week then leave the cities. New York City doesn’t have room for a weeks supply of water in millions of homes (closet homes).
In the cities the surge of those leaving will cause jams. Remember cars won’t work and millions don’t have cars. We seen a little when 9/11 happened but most people stayed in the city.
The -assurance- people have in the country is distance and visibility and knowing their neighbors. It takes days to walk to the country.
Ok-imagaine no autos working and no gasoline. No electricity. The water supply needs both electricity and gas. Maybe steam will still work? In the country they have wells and can manually get water.
3-days without water and hundreds of miles for millions of city people… wow. That is some unimaginable crazy. People without a society with standards will crumble within the 1st week.
In USA this has never been seen. We are the most out of shape.. not all are. We are the most addicted to medicines. Not all are. If say one hits over Chicago area… we can only speculate. I would stay home and wait.
People will rob, loot, rape, shoot, beat up. Others will panic shoot. What happens when the millions on prescription drugs that have side effects?
Cities and such are different. Even if 80 percent of the city is helping. The 20 percent doing the crazy stuff will be something.
It is all hypothetical and I am thinking more on the side that most cities and huge percentages of USA population do not have a foundation in God. Their foundation is built on a rug that could be pulled at any moment.
Very few people are able to be self reliant. We have millions of people in the hidden areas of our culture that do things to keep people able to complain about how racist someone is—these people do some very important work. Without electricity they will not be able to do it.
To liken this to the Bible. Think of locusts plague as the same as if we lost electricity for a week.
One year my neighborhood lost power for 2 weeks in the middle of the coldest winter -15 which felt like -40. We are the only home within thousands of homes that has a wood burning fireplace-free standing high efficiency one.. not a regular one. We were the only ones left in the whole neighborhood. We had water and firewood.
I'm not saying everyone is going to get out. Lots of people will die. That's obvious.
But it's a false sense of security thinking that just because someone lives out in the country they'll be safe from others looking to survive.
It's ludicrous that you think people in a life-or-death situation wouldn't do something as simple as walking or biking away from the city/suburbs because it's a little inconvenient or causes some discomfort.
Look at what illegal immigrants do to get here. Many of them walk for months to get here. They cross deserts and rivers. If you're right about Americans being too stupid and lazy to walk out of cities, then whenever the US rebuilds, it's going to be mostly people from Mexico and Central America, because they're certainly able to survive harsh situations.
Seriously, if you were visiting someone in the closest city to where you lived when it happened, would you just throw your hands up in the air and sit around, waiting to die? Or would you find a backpack, some bottled water or gatorade, and a jar of peanut butter or some other calorically dense food, steal the nearest bike, and head home?
Also, I have no idea what you mean by this:
Very few people are able to be self reliant. We have millions of people in the hidden areas of our culture that do things to keep people able to complain about how racist someone is—these people do some very important work. Without electricity they will not be able to do it.
Depends on the city and what city. Sure everyone will do what they can. It is a very multi angled view. For instance we have millions who came in the USA coupled with a EMP. Those millions are already acclimated. They are pawns with bishops.
The enormity of an EMP has always been a thing. Back in the old Soviet Union days we knew they were prepared for an EMP and they used things like tube capacitors.
A million people all looking for a bike at the same time has never been seen. Babies, children, sick, elderly, disabled. So much.
The whole wearing tin foil derived from the fact that tinfoil protects from an EMP. We are mocked for saying such in the USA. Maybe a home that is covered with tinfoil will keep the car able to work. That would be huge if timed correctly in an event as this.
———
So in society we have those who work at the poop factory so when we flush toilets the water gets treated. We have people who keep the water pumps working so when we turn on the faucet we have water. We go to the gas station and fill up the car-people work so we can have convenience.
Go to a college campus that has thousands of students and ask them who takes care of the vending machine, water, toilets, heck ask them is they know what a gold coin is worth… maybe 1 will know. Same in neighborhoods. We have a foundation that requires maintenance and everything requires electricity to maintain it.
———-
My expectation of surviving anything like this would be 3 seconds. Those who make it a week will be very successful and maybe more successful. Those who fall or killed by Americans coupled with illegal people will be within the first week.
It is all theory until it happens though. Nothing I can do about it. It is fascinating that Tucker says something that also said during WW2 and many built underground bunkers.
Well, guess America is destined to be resettled by illegal immigrants if things go bad. Because they certainly don't have any trouble figuring out how to travel long distances in harsh situations, with few possessions and resources.
They can cross deserts and rivers on foot, walking for weeks with little food or water. They do it all the time.
Sad that Americans couldn't be bothered to loot some stores for supplies and walk out of the cities. Survival of the fittest, I guess.
The looting of grocery stored would start in less than 2 hours, police would lose all control, hospitals would have zero staff to take care of people because those staff have families they will need to take care or, Prisons would have no guards and inmates would be breaking out, nursing homes and assisted living would have zero staff and that is all in the first 24hrs! Then shit will get really bad.
I don't think it is, either. The amount of people that would lose all faith in the "plan" would be massive. I do however see a massive cyberattack as totally plausible. Either against banking, healthcare, or infrastructure happening in the near future. I also don't think we will be going to war against Iran either.
That would kill our country, along with a lot of people. If you doubt this at all read the novel “One Second After”.
Everyone should read the EMP Commission report in addition to One Second After. That book was what finally woke my wife out of the slumber. Also a back read on the carrington event is useful.

I read One Second After many years ago but had no idea there were companion novels!! Thanks for the heads up!

Scares me, especially when you think of the deagle report predicting a 75% reduction in u.s. population by 2025
I forgot the Deagle Report. Between the vax and WW3 and the cyber attack that’s worse than lockdowns as promised by Klaus Schwab and the engineered food crisis, it could be possible.
"The Road" was a great movie that shows exactly that. Hard to watch but is very good.
EMP attack, I remember that being a boogeyman ever since the movie "Goldeneye".
Sauce for these 7-8 EMPs?
What if...

I remember in the 'rocket man' years it was said NK has a satellite that crosses the USA twice a day that is capable of causing an EMP. Not new except for the players.
Yep, in a pole to pole orbit from the south. Our blind spot as are early warning systems never anticipated a nuke launch coming from the south.
