Paper ballot with electronic tabulator. Photo ID a must! Back in 2020 we voted on electronic machines. Why does it change for federal elections. The photo ID part is great. I just don’t trust the electronics. Make voting fair again!

I just voted in Ohio. Same deal. I was tempted to wear my favorite T-shirt which says "I'd rather be a Russian than a Democrat" but I didn't want to appear on the evening news.
Voted in ohio wearing pedo pete t shirt and trump hat
Wow .. surprised they let you vote!
I'm not sure if it differs based on precinct but mine gives you a blank paper slip and you stick it in a machine and it prints out your choices like a scantron, then you feed it into another machine as you leave that tabulates it. They do check for your license and have you do a signature on a little screen.
Also Ohio btw.
Same ohio ..pots legal in ohio now..full recreational...I want reparations
That's how our voting was in Texas
I have one of the voting (punch) machines along with some ballots that was used in Broward County Bush/Gore election. No big deal but been holding on to it as a piece of history.
Be a proud pede and wear that shit fren.
Voted in Ohio 2 minutes after polls opened. Large turn out for 6:30 a.m. I pray they voted NO on Issue 1-abortion without limit.
I, too, pray that many, many people voted No. Living in Texas now, but originally from Ohio with all my family still there.
We lost. They probably aborted a bunch of babies tonight just to celebrate!
💔🙏
I voted in connecticut and they used the same black felt tip markers as in the 2020 election.
We need a campaign to start bringing our own pens.
I did that anyway. Blue ball-point. Infernal machine accepted it, no issue.
Each booth had a big sign in it saying "Use ONLY the black felt tip marker for your ballot."
Pbbbbt.
Unfortunately, I am unable to vote here in NC bc I live outside the city limits. Today it’s just mostly municipal and local elections in the state of NC
So I only get to vote here every other year when state, county and Federal elections are on the ballot.
Got it. Thanks for letting us know. Was wondering about you.
I have proposed using special election coins. You put your coins in your candidate's slot and the votes are weighed. Special alloys for each election and a coin comparator to kick out counterfeits. Keep the design and the alloys under lock and key until just before the election. It would be impossible to make the dies, alloys, and stamp the coins in time. Bureau of engraving and printing could do the job in a couple weeks. Collectors would pay for the coins after the election to offset the costs.
Great idea. I’ll gladly pay more in taxes for this!
If everyone took a picture of their ballot before feeding it to a tabulator. Counts could be verified/compared via 3rd party.
No cell phones. Law
Understood its the law, but what is the intent of the law. There is no reasonable justification that every voter could not have a “receipt” of their ballot for the purpose of future verification. It doesn’t have to be a cell phone pic, could be an official scanner that instantly emails you a copy. No need to to dissect the logistics at this time, but the concept is a viable solution as a safeguard measure. This is the only system that does not allow a copy, takes your original, and you can never see it again. Its engineered for cheating.
I took a picture no one said a damn word. They do the paper ballot and you put in the machine.
I told the lady working I see we are still using the cheating machines.
Was just discussing with my wife how we have no way to know if the machines correctly tabulated our votes, only that the ballot added to the total number put in the machine. And at our voting location, when you sign in, they look up what party you are registered in! Seems like a convenient way to tag your ballot.
Yes pede!
I did this and always take a photo discreetly with the sound off on my phone. As hubby and I were leaving, i was approached by one of the workers who asked me if i took a photo and I said yes. She said I must ask you to delete it and i said, why it's my ballot. I took out my phone and let her watch me delete it saying i don't understand this is my ballot and I have a right to document it... however i might have taken more than one photo and only deleted one
Tomorrow I'm calling Ken Paxton's office to ask what we can do to get PAPER BALLOTS. I know POTUS has a plan but we citizens must get involved!
Just say no...or say nothing at all and keep walking like you own the joint... because you DO.
Free men and women don't answer to public servants.
I'll do whatever I want, as long as it's moral and isn't hurting anyone.
This "assumed power" bs has to stop. Claim and operate in your power... and stop giving it away because you're compelled to be a good citizen or whatever.
Glad you took a pic... next time just walk off. What are they going to do, assault you?
I don't know...I was shocked and full of righteous indignation, but in a quiet way I never raised my voice but after we left i remembered that I might have taken more than one picture. 😺 I will never make that mistake again of being too close to a "watcher"
Undelete the photo. It’s in the deleted photo album.
I couldn't find that file on my android but no worries....I may have another copy...😎
I voted last week (in TX). ID mandatory (I used my ccw just to see what they said), and the voting machines were ES&S. I will say the card that is printed out (which you feed into the scanner) shows your vote choices in english - not some barcode.
The guy that checked my ID thought it was some sort of a gun club card. Uh - no. That actually concerned me because that would not be a valid ID, but my Licence-to-Carry is a valid state ID explicitly referenced as an allowable ID and scannable just like the Driver License. I wonder what other "IDs" this guy would accept?
Yes...too many uninformed folks around.
No id in Pennsylvania, wide open!
Yup! Didn't have to show ID today in York County, though I did last year, I think it was because it was my first time voting as a York County resident, but since then they never ask, I could have been anyone claiming to be me. I even made a comment to the ladies working there that they should be asking for ID every single time and they agreed,
What do you expect from Commie Shapiro .
Like kamala.
Always check to make sure the "machine" tabulated your votes correctly. They should give a vote receipt that shows you.
Not in FL. With the ES&S tabulators we have no way of knowing how our votes were recorded.
Our precinct in NY only asked for a name, no I.D., and then had you sign, that they compared to their record. My signature is essentially a scribble and could easily be forged, at least for purposes of vote fraud. I can't believe leftists have been successful in prevention nationwide voter I.D. requirements! (it disenfranchises so many voters :) )
Just voted in small county in Va. Paper ballot. Electronic counter. Public wifi available. Ugh
Me too! Tatar Tot and Republican down the list!
I went independent on a few and only because I know them personally. Along with the Republican candidates. Local elections are big in a small town cause everyone knows everyone. You won’t bullshit us here. We know you and your family.
Hah! Try that in a small to-...
Oh wait...
In Texas I only had a bunch of constitutional amendments on my ballot this time.
In my county in NY, Democrat Judge candidates somehow got themselves listed on the Democrat line AND the Conservative line! There is no shame for Democrats!
Is this a state wide thing, the paper ballots, or can precincts use different methods.
Not sure. Would love to hear from other Mississippians
The best part is the 'proprietary code' used in them.
Because addition is so complex and oh so super secret that the code needs to be locked down so that competitors won't steal the trade secrets!
Or maybe the machines do more than just adding.
Machines would be ok if the code was open source, and the ballots were a uniform grid such that the machine just gave a count of how the ballot grid was marked. e.g., row 3 column 2 got 42 votes. The machines never have to be reprogrammed, and every election would require an audit before certification. The audit would consist of re-running the ballots through a known good machine from a different vendor so the audited result could be known the next day. And video recording of the counting process in case someone slips in or loses ballots.
Block chain voting would be better.
Too technical, the average person won't trust it. Needs to be simple enough the grandmas working the polls can understand and trust it.
They can streamline it so you don't even know it's using blockchain technology. That's where GameStop is headed with web3 gaming
I've said that for years lol. It's just all addition!
Lol exactly. Shit, they need to make it open source. It'll be like 10 lines of code kek
The electronics are a counter. THe votes are hand counted as I understand and matched with the machine.
YES! YES! YES! Paper Ballots only!
