Their reactions were so over-the-top that it made the whole thing far more interesting for me, from a psychological point of view. What was driving all that hyperbole?
Fear. They needed to create fear to drive people away, and against Trump. Remember early on, Hillary said Trump would start WW3 with Russia. Being a Clinton, their internal polling data must have said that wasn't resonating with voters, so they switched it to Trump being in too close to Putin, and basically a Russian asset. That's what they ran with. That's why they created all the fake Russia Russia Russia BS. They needed to create fear, and the fear of Trump being the enemy within worked, for many.
Thing is, they know all about the enemy within, because it is them. They know it is them. They have always been the enemy within. Projecting it onto Trump was easy, because they knew all the nefarious details and ins and outs of being that enemy within. That's how they could convince so many people Trump was that enemy. He was the one to be feared. He would be a dictator. Worse than Hitler.
Now, years later, they want to go to that playbook again. I just can't see as many people falling for it, again. People are seeing who the real threat is. More and more, every day, people are slowly waking up.

At that time, he was a major thorn in the side of Alex Salmond, then First Minister of Scotland with the far left Scottish National Party, over a links golf course and other investments DJT was making. My mom loved Trump and especially how he goaded the SNP leadership and media etc. I didn’t know much about him but found it funny how much she loved the ways this brash iconoclast was annoying the SNP. Brainwashed doesn’t explain it - she had been completely programmed. This was Invasion of the Bodysnatchers-level shit. She would not hear a good or even reasonable or neutral word said about him. He was Hitler-Satan. From that point, and from the perspective of “what the hell has this guy done to turn my mother into this seething and disturbingly angry old lady?”, that’s really where my full on great awakening kicked in for real.

What we got from Trump was PEACE -- no new wars! North Korea crisis ended! Middle East powder keg defused! -- and PROSPERITY from cutting regulation bloat, cutting taxes, negotiating fair trade deals, implementing pro-business policies, and many other things -- and LIBERTY -- Trump did not use lawfare against Americans, did not censor Americans, did not push gun confiscation or otherwise threaten American's civil rights and liberties. Trump couldn't vanquish America's Deep State, but he wasn't in league with it to tighten our chains -- quite the opposite.
Trump did all THAT (and much more) while nearly the entire Federal government and every Cabal-tainted entity and individual across the nation worked against him.
Is the prospect of ANOTHER four years of peace, prosperity, and liberty really "the biggest danger to the world in 2024" (to quote the first line of the story)?
In addition, there must be a plan to fix our country for A.T., After Trump.
Part of that plan must be eradicating the cancerous rot in DC, MSM, Fortune 500, Education, Municipalities, and every other place of power and influence.
This is where We The People must provide the overwhelming force by the millions to ensure the changes made are permanent.
To get there, we need real prosecutions of the evil doers and the truth in all of this must be shown far and wide.
The MSM and BigTech are the greatest of all propaganda mechanisms and must be destroyed. If they colluded in the election theft, which they did, then according to EO 13848 their assets may be seized.
