I wanted to get people's thoughts and input on the FDA (Food & Drug Administration. I have seen recent posts that talk about dismantling the government and scrapping all the agencies that make little sense. I am a full on proponent of that and feel that our country would do well getting back to the basics and "brass tacks" of government input. The FDA is a part of the Health & Human Services (HHS) sector of government, which I am totally willing to watch go by the wayside. Granted, the FDA was put into place in 1907 and HHS was put into place in the 50's.
When I was in High School, as a part of our government class, we had to read Upton Sinclair's book "The Jungle" which was mostly about how food companies back in the day were not keeping any standard of cleanliness, and meat packing companies were allowing mice and feces and all sorts of things into the items they were selling. Hence, the government put into place the FDA to allow standards to be met (or at least that was the way it was presented to me in high school).
I guess what I am getting at is whether or not we need something in place where we don't allow food and drug companies to try and poison us with their food, and how the FDA has completely failed in this task over the last several decades. Our country needs to stop allowing seed oils to be a part of our diet somehow. Any other country in the world uses normal ingredients in their processed foods, but we are allowing poisons and toxins to be doled out to us.
How do we fix that?
I know the simple answer is to eat real foods, which I do. I am thinking more for the average citizen than myself. I also know that the best solution would be to allow free trade to weed out the crappy food, but I don't think that is a reality in today's society for the average consumer.
Do we need something in place to monitor (and do a much better job than is currently being done) the foods supply and items used in those foods? Or are we truly better off with nothing in place and let the chips fall where they may?
The only thing that I truly know would be in our best interest is to stop allowing Pharmaceutical companies to stop advertising to the public. We are one of two countries in the world that allow this (Australia being the other one). It is very apparent that this allows for those companies to dictate the words that are relayed to the people and at the same time, creates a false sense of fix for the american people.
I am hoping to hear peoples thoughts on this and how things should play out if/when we truly get to a point of this great awakening and change that is so desperately needed in our country.

Well being a klutz can have the most inopportune moments or timing. Was at a friends house this weekend that I visit at least once a month on the weekends. Missed a step and gravity is B! Positive note I can walk on my foot. Negative side I've got Christmas presents to wrap that should have been done last week but I got sick (cold nothing serious just aggravating). I'm praying it's only a sprain with bad bruising and swelling on side & top of foot. Yesterday it was minor but this morning it's huge! Again I was careless because we were busy and didn't put ice on it. Dang it I know better had my first ankle sprain at about 14 and have had several over the years.
Ladies in a long term relationship take my advice. Teach your husband how to wash the laundry (all the steps for different loads) and everything else you do to keep that house running like a well oiled machine. Younger people might not have this issue. I'm old school and have done everything for 35 years. He's very capable of washing clothes! I have a system normal, heavy duty, light load, soil level etc. It's forever changing with each washing machine we get. Dang I miss the old machines that you turned a knob instead of those digital buttons. (Another rabbit hole to jump down later digital appliances) no wifi on washer thank god! I'm not complaining about this wonderful man sent by God. Just frustrating when you are a control freak.
Lord help you if you miss a few days of weekly chat. Trying to keep the attitude "can't miss what you don't see (or know)". I've attempted to scroll to catch up it's just to much. IDK what the answer is.
I think there is a desire for a social site that hasn't been met despite all of the options that have popped up in the last few years. Maybe a gaw social dot win because we want to talk about anything and everything. A dot win is nice because it can be anonymous, participants are like minded, everyone can see topics without seeking out a friends list, etc. I know gaw itself wants to stay on topic.

Though the social side of things by itself I don't believe is a strong enough focal point to build up anything successful. You will either end up with only a single general post with all the content or a bunch of random post with like barely any comments. It's tough to navigate because there aren't enough people in any one .win willing to give it an honest effort to build up. So it's a slow process. We Carry on though. All in Gods timing
I have been just treating it like a daily chat. Anything below a certain level, if I miss...I miss. I have been treating it as if each day it refreshes. It hasn't been to hard for me with that mindset. Next week(if they continue) I'm gonna try to focus more on some of the more long forum topics that got posted earlier ...to see how that works out.

Me too! Also, if there was something that was that important to you on the daily chat, and you were interacting the day before, you can always go back through your own comments to find that even though it’s not sticky. But that really happens rarely. Miss daily chat.
Now that we are heading into the end of this week's weekly chat post, I would like to make my thoughts known on this experiment:
I miss the daily chat stuffs. The weekly chat format got way too cumbersome halfway through the week to be navigate-able.
My brief suggestion for improvement: I suggest bringing back the Daily Chat posts at the least. If we are to continue to have a weekly chat instead of discontinuing it entirely, then make it dedicated for more "intense" topics only.
The entire purpose of the daily chat was a location that people could meet up and have off-topic comments. Because if you were to post some of the stuff we discussed on daily chat, your post would be removed, and you could potentially be banned. Daily chat is supposed to be lighthearted, gardening, cooking, jokes, Memes, prayer, request, scripture, posting songs, etc.. I agree that more intense topic should be part of a weekly chat - or perhaps mods could allow people just to make original posts and not take down their Content - however, this is tricky if you want to keep this place specifically Q.
The best way to make this work is if the people that take part in the daily chat put in effort to make the intense topics only people feel like there stuff got engagement. Other wise the weekly(intense) discussion post would just be a graveyard and people would slowly start posting in general again and we would be right where we were at the beginning of the week. I think the mods are simply trying to solve a common complaint they receive. Hence the experiment

Something great happened! So I’m a poor man’s audiophile, I love music. I’ve got a great system for a truck driver I guess. So I have JBL L7 speakers and I used to power them with a crown 1502 amplifier. It sounded really good, then my wife bought me an incredible set of second hand amplifier’s Wired4sound sx1000r’s, she’s the best. They made my system sound incredible. I know most have no clue as to what I’m talking about. So anyway disaster happened and our basement flooded and the stereo while not damaged was put to the side. So wanting something I dug out some old equipment and put it upstairs to get me by. Everyone needs time away and time for themselves. To be quiet honest I probably focus to much on the destruction of our country and it sickens me and music is my escape. My wife really loves Christmas and decorated the upstairs, so my trash stereo ended up out of reach. So my wife is out of town and I’m needing to get away from the crazy. So the speakers I have upstairs are some Bic Venturi V62’s “again you probably have know clue and that’s understandable”. These speakers I picked up at a yard sale for ten bucks and only bought them because music is my release, I love everything from punk rock to classical. So anyway these are my upstairs speakers until the basement is redone. The upstairs speakers are powered by a trash 1980’s amplifier and doesn’t sound great, but it’s music right? So given the situation I pulled the speakers out of the corner and left the other equipment because it was to much trouble to move. I went downstairs and grabbed the Crown amp and pieced a stereo together. Now the crown is a good amp and very powerful so I grabbed some cables and hooked up the small Bic Venturi bookshelf speakers, and started it up. I wasn’t impressed to say the least, the bass was muddy, they sounded like crap like always but it was better than nothing. Then over the next couple of hours something wonderful happened, the bass became incredible the speakers went translucent and the most glorious sound started emerging from these $10 garage sale special’s. Is it possible that these thirty year old speakers wer really never broken in and needed the power of my crown to jujitsu them into shape? I know it sounds like I’m nuts, but listening to Itzhak Perlman play Le Quattro Stagioni almost has me in tears listening to $10 speakers. It’s almost as God knows I need this and answered my prayer. Sorry for the silly vent but I’m all alone and have to tell my fens.
Wow seriously, that's some serious classic kit. I used to be really into car audio and... um... those amps you mention are monsters meant for home cinema. And you've got them in your truck? LOOOOOL, that's so great. Nice work. Those amps always seem to show up for sale in pairs. The specs are impressive, TONS of clean power with a whopping 1.140W into a 4-ohm load, a dynamic range of 118dB, and a THD+N of just 0.2% at full power. Wow. I bet people can hear you pulling into a truck stop!
I have a Marantz sa8005 cd player, they did a real nice job with that one. Has about 99% of their ultra high end cd players, I wish it had balanced output’s but you can’t have it all, but it does have a really good DAC. I’m tempted to get a turntable, but the thought of building a vinyl collection at this point in life is more than I could handle. SACD is enough I guess. I like having physical media, but I do have a computer attached to the usb input on the cd player which is nice. Now if I could get a fresh set of ears, mine are getting old. I am thinking of upgrading the L7’s to ceramic tweeters and a custom x-over “foil caps” exc. it would be fun to see what they’re capable of. On the other hand I’m really looking at Tekton speakers as a upgrade, I’ve heard nothing but good things about them.
Have you ever looked into Tekton speakers, the Encore’s are ones I’m interested in. I would really like to listen to them before purchasing, a trip to Salt Lake City to listen to a set is a little much and explaining that to the wife. Every once in a while they show up on US Audiomart, it kills me how these guys run through audio equipment like changing underwear. The cable thing is the biggest racket going.
The wyred4sound sx1000r’s are incredible, the Crown made them sound like four drivers making music, the 1000r’s made it all come together without the drivers calling attention to themselves. I really didn’t notice it till I switched, it was a huge improvement. One of the complaints about class d amps is they sound sterile and dry, the Wyred4sound amps don’t, they really sound wonderful in my opinion. I have to say though, I haven’t listened to really high end amps in a while. My friend has some older Mark Levinson amps hooked up to the big Polk SDA’s. I think my system walks all over his and he agrees. I’ve never been a Polk fan, they sound fine but they just miss something. I have to have a capable speaker because my taste in music runs the gamut. His Polks are just too laid back I guess, the L7’s I think are way underrated, but I’m a big fan. They say they sound best with short ceilings and my basement is about 8ft so that might be why they sound so sweet. If they have a shortcoming I would say it’s the tweeter’s. Really other than the upgrading the L7’s i think a nice tube preamp and I’m done. I’ve done the home theater thing, but honestly with a great set of speakers surround sound is a waste. My two channel sounds better even with room correction. I love Blu-ray concert’s on the projector, lots of

I think I am going to take a break, maybe permanently!, from writing "everything's flipped." I consider the acceptance of the People's Voice posts on GAW to be anathema to the purpose of GAW, if those posts have no critical vetting and exposure of the nature of the clickbait disinfo operation embedded into them, but simply post the info as if it is in any way supportive of our aims.

I liked daily chat as well. But weekly chat so far is working also - would a daily chat for prayer requests and things of that sort work better? Leave weekly for questions or "shower thoughts" - would give quicker response to those needing prayer support but longer time for answers on questions etc? Just a thought that hit my head. The thing that I liked about the daily chat the most - was the first verse! 🥇 🙏. Then people began posting a second verse, and a third verse. People would post links to worship music and something positive and uplifting. This would devolved into people, asking for prayer requests, sharing recipes, and gardening tips.
It ‘was’ what it’s supposed to be… And off-topic general chat. Overall it was a lovely place to be, full of positivity and joy and cheer. That’s what I miss. It was a place where people cared for one another, and we’re kind to each other, and could laugh at silly jokes together. It was a bright shining place in a dark world.
I’m not against a weekly chat, I would just like to have both. 🙏

Younger people might not have this issue. I'm old school and have done everything for 35 years. He's very capable of washing clothes! I have a system normal, heavy duty, light load, soil level etc. It's forever changing with each washing machine we get. Dang I miss the old machines that you turned a knob instead of those digital buttons. (Another rabbit hole to jump down later digital appliances) no wifi on washer thank god! Lord help you if you miss a few days of weekly chat. Trying to keep the attitude "can't miss what you don't see (or know)". I've attempted to scroll to catch up it's just to much. IDK what the answer is.
I think there is a desire for a social site that hasn't been met despite all of the options that have popped up in the last few years. Maybe a gaw social dot win because we want to talk about anything and everything. A dot win is nice because it can be anonymous, participants are like minded, everyone can see topics without seeking out a friends list, etc. I know gaw itself wants to stay on topic.

Though the social side of things by itself I don't believe is a strong enough focal point to build up anything successful. You will either end up with only a single general post with all the content or a bunch of random post with like barely any comments. I have been just treating it like a daily chat. Anything below a certain level, if I miss...I miss. I have been treating it as if each day it refreshes. It hasn't been to hard for me with that mindset. Next week(if they continue) I'm gonna try to focus more on some of the more long forum topics that got posted earlier ...to see how that works out.

Me too! Also, if there was something that was that important to you on the daily chat, and you were interacting the day before, you can always go back through your own comments to find that even though it’s not sticky. But that really happens rarely. Miss daily chat.

Now that we are heading into the end of this week's weekly chat post, I would like to make my thoughts known on this experiment:
I miss the daily chat stuffs. The weekly chat format got way too cumbersome halfway through the week to be navigate-able.
My brief suggestion for improvement: I suggest bringing back the Daily Chat posts at the least. If we are to continue to have a weekly chat instead of discontinuing it entirely, then make it dedicated for more "intense" topics only.
The entire purpose of the daily chat was a location that people could meet up and have off-topic comments. Because if you were to post some of the stuff we discussed on daily chat, your post would be removed, and you could potentially be banned. Daily chat is supposed to be lighthearted, gardening, cooking, jokes, Memes, prayer, request, scripture, posting songs, etc.. I agree that more intense topic should be part of a weekly chat - or perhaps mods could allow people just to make original posts and not take down their Content - however, this is tricky if you want to keep this place specifically Q.

The best way to make this work is if the people that take part in the daily chat put in effort to make the intense topics only people feel like there stuff got engagement. Other wise the weekly(intense) discussion post would just be a graveyard and people would slowly start posting in general again and we would be right where we were at the beginning of the week. I think the mods are simply trying to solve a common complaint they receive. Hence the experiment

So I can't give much on this. However I will say I have prayed A LOT on this topic and every time I always here God is gonna work in a way few will understand. Which doesn't really align with the common thinking in most churches. People seem to put the end times in this box and wait for these markers. The most important thing is get close to Christ in the here and now. I am finding this along is something truly special. Which is why I absolutely love the stuff you discuss. Something great happened! So I’m a poor man’s audiophile, I love music. I’ve got a great system for a truck driver I guess. So I have JBL L7 speakers and I used to power them with a crown 1502 amplifier. It sounded really good, then my wife bought me an incredible set of second hand amplifier’s Wired4sound sx1000r’s, she’s the best. They made my system sound incredible. I know most have no clue as to what I’m talking about. So anyway disaster happened and our basement flooded and the stereo while not damaged was put to the side. So wanting something I dug out some old equipment and put it upstairs to get me by. Everyone needs time away and time for themselves. To be quiet honest I probably focus to much on the destruction of our country and it sickens me and music is my escape. My wife really loves Christmas and decorated the upstairs, so my trash stereo ended up out of reach. So my wife is out of town and I’m needing to get away from the crazy. So the speakers I have upstairs are some Bic Venturi V62’s “again you probably have know clue and that’s understandable”. These speakers I picked up at a yard sale for ten bucks and only bought them because music is my release, I love everything from punk rock to classical. So anyway these are my upstairs speakers until the basement is redone. The upstairs speakers are powered by a trash 1980’s amplifier and doesn’t sound great, but it’s music right? So given the situation I pulled the speakers out of the corner and left the other equipment because it was to much trouble to move. I went downstairs and grabbed the Crown amp and pieced a stereo together. Now the crown is a good amp and very powerful so I grabbed some cables and hooked up the small Bic Venturi bookshelf speakers, and started it up. I wasn’t impressed to say the least, the bass was muddy, they sounded like crap like always but it was better than nothing. Then over the next couple of hours something wonderful happened, the bass became incredible the speakers went translucent and the most glorious sound started emerging from these $10 garage sale special’s. Is it possible that these thirty year old speakers wer really never broken in and needed the power of my crown to jujitsu them into shape? I know it sounds like I’m nuts, but listening to Itzhak Perlman play Le Quattro Stagioni almost has me in tears listening to $10 speakers. It’s almost as God knows I need this and answered my prayer. Sorry for the silly vent but I’m all alone and have to tell my fens.

LOOOOOL, that's so great. Nice work. Those amps always seem to show up for sale in pairs. The specs are impressive, TONS of clean power with a whopping 1.140W into a 4-ohm load, a dynamic range of 118dB, and a THD+N of just 0.2% at full power. Wow. I bet people can hear you pulling into a truck stop!
Nope they’re home kit, with ac cord. They are monsters though, class D ice power amps.
My babies are the wyred4sound sx1000r monoblocks, 1000watts per side and sound incredible. My L7’s can play anything well, very dynamic speakers.
It’s really not the watts with L7’s it’s the current they need. They are hungry little monsters.
I have a Marantz sa8005 cd player, they did a real nice job with that one. Has about 99% of their ultra high end cd players, I wish it had balanced output’s but you can’t have it all, but it does have a really good DAC. I’m tempted to get a turntable, but the thought of building a vinyl collection at this point in life is more than I could handle. SACD is enough I guess. I like having physical media, but I do have a computer attached to the usb input on the cd player which is nice. Now if I could get a fresh set of ears, mine are getting old. I am thinking of upgrading the L7’s to ceramic tweeters and a custom x-over “foil caps” exc. it would be fun to see what they’re capable of. On the other hand I’m really looking at Tekton speakers as a upgrade, I’ve heard nothing but good things about them.
Have you ever looked into Tekton speakers, the Encore’s are ones I’m interested in. I would really like to listen to them before purchasing, a trip to Salt Lake City to listen to a set is a little much and explaining that to the wife. Every once in a while they show up on US Audiomart, it kills me how these guys run through audio equipment like changing underwear. The cable thing is the biggest racket going.

The wyred4sound sx1000r’s are incredible, the Crown made them sound like four drivers making music, the 1000r’s made it all come together without the drivers calling attention to themselves. I really didn’t notice it till I switched, it was a huge improvement. One of the complaints about class d amps is they sound sterile and dry, the Wyred4sound amps don’t, they really sound wonderful in my opinion. I have to say though, I haven’t listened to really high end amps in a while. My friend has some older Mark Levinson amps hooked up to the big Polk SDA’s. I think my system walks all over his and he agrees. I’ve never been a Polk fan, they sound fine but they just miss something. I have to have a capable speaker because my taste in music runs the gamut. His Polks are just too laid back I guess, the L7’s I think are way underrated, but I’m a big fan. They say they sound best with short ceilings and my basement is about 8ft so that might be why they sound so sweet. If they have a shortcoming I would say it’s the tweeter’s. Really other than the upgrading the L7’s i think a nice tube preamp and I’m done. I’ve done the home theater thing, but honestly with a great set of speakers surround sound is a waste. My two channel sounds better even with room correction. I love Blu-ray concert’s on the projector, lots of fun.

I think I am going to take a break, maybe permanently!, from writing "everything's flipped." Originally a light-hearted look at how even the most minor details of everyday life have been corrupted, It sort of evolved into a weekly dooming session. Nobody needs that. Maybe a new mini-series of inspiration and practical ideas would be good. Will people even see this in the weekly chat?

I consider the acceptance of the People's Voice posts on GAW to be anathema to the purpose of GAW, if those posts have no critical vetting and exposure of the nature of the clickbait disinfo operation embedded into them, but simply post the info as if it is in any way supportive of our aims.
It's promotion of a known clickbait/disinfo operation that is directly working against the Great Awakening.
Take their information, and use that to find real and accurate sources if you must, but promoting TPV is like advocating for Disney because "some of their stuff is good".
One reason why posting (promoting) sites like TPV is detrimental to our cause:
Numerous countries are currently attempting to shove through misinformation and disinformation laws that allow the govt to control information by labeling that information and prosecuting any social media that allows it.
Sites like TPV that promote dodgy and fake information actively contribute to that NWO goal.
Exhibit one: Google search: iceland covid vaccines. 4 of the top ten results debunk the recent disinfo op (which may or may not have started with TPV).

They are two sides of the same coin. I liked daily chat as well. But weekly chat so far is working also - would a daily chat for prayer requests and things of that sort work better? Leave weekly for questions or "shower thoughts" - would give quicker response to those needing prayer support but longer time for answers on questions etc? Just a thought that hit my head. EDIT: a meme thread might be nice, have them all in one place.

The thing that I liked about the daily chat the most - was the first verse! 🥇 🙏. Then people began posting a second verse, and a third verse. People would post links to worship music and something positive and uplifting. This would devolved into people, asking for prayer requests, sharing recipes, and gardening tips.
It ‘was’ what it’s supposed to be… And off-topic general chat. Overall it was a lovely place to be, full of positivity and joy and cheer. That’s what I miss. It was a place where people cared for one another, and we’re kind to each other, and could laugh at silly jokes together. It was a bright shining place in a dark world.
I’m not against a weekly chat, I would just like to have both. 🙏
