No idea really on the C17s, but I've tracked C-130s before travelling in a string like that while they were doing, or training for, high altitude precision drops. The first few or several birds drop sensors that track wind currents and the trailing birds have their paths and drop points computer calculated. Some really cool stuff.

There are always, and I mean always, ops off the coast of San Diego. You have two carriers in Coronado, destroyers at 32nd St., the amphibs going up to Pendleton to pick up the marines and practice beach landings, Marine Corps air station at Miramar, Naval Air Station North Island. C-17s and 130 could be coming from March Air Force Base in Riverside or Nellis in LV. And on and on and on.
There would be need to be something extremely anomalous for me to believe that there’s something out of the ordinary going on.
Sorry, do not mean to sound like a doomer but I think I’m probably not the only vet here that sees this stuff thrown out there almost daily with no analysis or context.

In suburban western MA on Sunday morning about 10:30am EST - (3) US Navy Chinook Helicopters flew in formation at about 300ft above my neighborhood…. They circled and made (4) separate passes over the neighborhoods…
First what is military aircraft doing at such a low altitude flying around a population center west of Boston? Does the US Military have control? Is Posse Commitatus suspended? And if they were training …. What are they training for? Suburban. Rooundups? Vaccine camps? Or is this the WH taking out the puppets of the DS?

Several circling flight patterns could be low level flight training. My buddy flew C-130 for several years and they often "Terrain Follow" to keep a low radar profile.
You'll see that often with the Blackhawks and C-130's for close air support missions. The F-15 fighter jets out of Otis use the White Mts of New Hampshire.
If there is a small runway near you, they may also be practicing their approaches.

I was having casual conversation with a current member of the army serving as a MP. He had recently returned from a deployment in Poland. I asked him what he was doing for training stateside it was worrisome since most of his training now is centered towards urban crowd, control. Your comment on posse comitatus is noted in this context.
Someone posted on my towns FB page this morning that 3 helicopters flew over their house this morning, someone else said they were Chinooks. This is in Western CT. Likely the same 3.
I see those guys all the time off my farm in NC, but next to my house in GA I never see them and I live next to moodys lol.
They can do this thing in aviation called spoofing. It is a very interesting technique.

The orange birds seem to mostly be Globemasters. The Yellow. A Mish-Mash of C-130s.
They’re flying in iced crates of fresh Catalina Island mussels & clams for a dinner party Adam Schiff is having this evening…at that hotel….you know the one. 😉
They are just conducting training exercises. I saw the same thing the other night (east coast time) in Germany.
Perhaps, people who haven't been in the military don't realize how much the military trains for war. It's every day in different ways. They have that preparedness shit locked down.
I hated when we had to put on those big unwieldy gas attack(?) suits. they were terrible and we'd have to sit in them for hours. ugh.
I must have watched that scene for an hour last night....I'm inclined to think it was (parachute?) training. There were a couple of H60s "on the ground" in international waters, so I put my boatfag hat on and checked to see if there were any MI vessels in the area. No pings, but that's no surprise. I bet they were there, or else doing some location spoofing.
The C-17s, all flying in a row, at approximately 3800 feet. The C-130s were a bit higher, about 5800 feet. 5 of them, in a group. 3 other H60s were hovering nearby what I am guessing was the 'drop zone', and a whole fleet of K35R flying gas stations in the general vicinity. An exciting evening of flying!
Outside of the left coast, there were a LOT of MI birds in the air for a Monday evening.

Airframe practice for airborne insertion of materiel. Possibly troops too. Gotta fly behind one another and slightly higher the further back in the column you go. Also must consider total radar signature. Practice in close quarters one with another makes perfect.
