Surprised? Me either.
Damn shame, too. Trump apparently needs to publicly humiliate him on a regular basis.
Maybe he's in to humuliation?
Politics should be like jury duty. you are told you need to serve for a month at a time, or however long we all decide. That's how movies/actors should be also. You are called to serve as Archie Bunker for a month. You are called to be in a movie. You get time off from work, there's no time to be manipulated and bribed, you go back to your job and have to face the people you served, and account for your decisions. No more career politicians, no more body guards for them, private planes, bribery, overindulgences, kickbacks... you do your time, you go home and face the music.
Nope. Democracy is mob rule. Doesn’t work.
COMMENTARY BY
Seth Griffin Seth Griffin is a high school student and debate coach from Indiana and a Heritage Foundation Academy Fellow. We have all heard the common talking point from the left that conservatives are destroying democracy. The response to this claim is the same time and time again: “We’re not a democracy, we’re a constitutional republic!” This leads us to ask an important question: Are there any differences between the two, and if so, why do they matter?
The answer is simple: There are profound differences between a democracy and a constitutional republic that are crucial to every aspect of American life. These three quotes from the Founding Fathers remind us to defend our constitutional republic with all our might.
Alexander Hamilton stated, “Real liberty is neither found in despotism or the extremes of democracy, but in moderate governments.”
Hamilton recognized the first of three harms of a real democracy. Democracy excludes the minority’s rights. It reminds me of the classic saying, “Democracy is like two wolves and a lamb voting on what to eat for lunch, but a republic is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote.”
Yes that is what I’m saying. This is why the USA is not a democracy but a constitutional republic. It was delayed long and hard by the founders.
And they made a correct choice.
Ditto. But stand by and pay attention to other comments here. You’re new. You’re still learning.
We should 100% never accept career politicians.
I regret that I only have one up-vote to give! There should never be ANY career politicians. It always leads to apathy and corruption.
Ultimately, it's our fault, as we aren't removing during the primaries like we should.
Hang on. Think back to the Q and the Great Awakening video. Where it explains that this ability spy on everyone fell into the hands of the white hats so they could get all the dirt and evidence on the cabal because they became dependent on technology just like we did. I see this as a good thing for now. Think Batman’s tracking system in The Dark Knight. We need to regain our privacy eventually but for right now, I think we need to retain this capability. If Patriots sre in control, I think this is a good thing for now (so long as they use the self destruct button once the cabal is swinging from trees).
We’re in a full scale war against the most powerful, most subversive, most secretive, most pervasive and evil conspiracy the world has ever known. No point in hamstringing ourselves by giving up our greatest weapon in the middle of the fourth quarter.
I agree. Like how Q told us “FISA goes both ways”
https://qalerts.app/?q=FISA+goes+both+ways
Does the Deep State want to spy on us, or do the White Hats want to spy on (and collect evidence against) the Deep State? The obvious answer is both scenarios are true.
I’m accepting the “both ways” deal that [They] can keep ordinary citizens like me under surveillance for another year or two, if it means the White Hats are using the same surveillance laws to win this war, and ultimately put an end to a corrupt government that is against the people.
We rejected the Crown--now we have royalty who screws us constantly with bad legislation and takes all of our money--so what did we fight for?
problem is, "WE" didn't fight for any of it. it was all gifted us by earlier generations that made the sacrifice. for the most part, families that we were NOT part of gave up huge sections of their family trees so that we might know these freedoms and enjoy such liberties. now we squander them because we are too afraid to act. I am as guilty as the next guy.
I’ve said it before & I’ll say it again; Pretty much anyone & everyone who held public office or really almost any position of power in the gov, prior to 2017 (when Trump was elected), is suspect & likely a filthy dirty rat.
Case in point with Cruz… I’ve always gotten very weird vibes from him.
Even someone like Rand Paul is suspect to me…
did we all forget why he's called "lying Ted" although he's still better than like 97% if congress unfortunately
This mofo. I worked his phone banks to get him elected to his first office in Houston, got to go to the victory party, and all that. Met the man, he seemed really nice and when I got lost in the hotel he was nice enough to set me in the right direction. But then he went and got Potomac Fever
Anybody that thinks that Ted Cruz is on the side of the Constitution is a sweet Summer child who is about to be thrown in the back of a rusty van.
Anyone surprised by this needs some bumps added to their smooth brains.
Cant wait to show this to those arguing Cruz isn't part of the Uniparty and just another cocksucker politician.
Who's his wife work for again? Pfft ....
Lyin' Ted
Big surprise
“Lyin’ Ted Cruz. I call him Lyin’ Ted Cruz. Because he’s a liar” DJT
If military is the only way WHY do they need this on the books?
It looks to me like the original Ted Cruz posts say that he wants a law that will inform people that the IC is spying on them, not that he wants a law to allow it...am I missing something here?
LYING TED.
This is exactly why Congress should be disbanded and defunded. They are working for themselves not their electorate.
He's called "Lyin' Ted" for a reason.
