As always, things like this are slow moving, and it will be months before the ripple effects are felt.
Just in time for the precipice.
Timing is everything.
Have you noticed the Evergrande Logo?
Holy Crap - its a Q. That too in blue and red!
Anons missed this one.

throw up yet? haha
I'm not a finance person by any stretch of the word but this seems like a big step towards collapse. Knowing how important the real estate market is to the Chinese economy, and what a paper tiger it is, this has potential to send huge ripples (or waves) throughout the Asian markets.
Time will tell, but it sure seems like an important step.
Well, a lot of people have characterized China's real estate market as a giant ponzi scheme built as a house of cards... what could possibly go wrong?
There are many economic forces working to collapse the house of cards, but there are also many forces inside China working to prop it up for a bit longer. That is one of the reasons why it is so difficult to date-fag when it will all come crashing down.
The real question is: how much will the implosion of China's economy affect the rest of the world, which is already very weak economically - just look at all the fake economic data being spewed by pResident Buy-din trying to fool people into thinking everything is fine and wonderful, etc.
They are all about to get the mother of all bitch-slaps from reality. Interesting times...
I suspect the Hong Kong judge will die of “natural causes” and the verdict will be appealed to the “proper” mainland court who will reverse the prior decision and kick the debt can down the road just like our Congress does.
Assume the crash position.
That would be a prone position with your butt raised up high for easy access...
Appears Evergrande is a DNR.
Everdefault
There was a crypto, I can’t think of its name, but it was backed heavily by Evergrande paper. The crypto was tied to bitcoin. Hmm
Tether?
Yeah u/doug1956, Tether supposedly parks their funds in Evergrande due to their high returns.
Tether is used to pump up the cryptos and there is belief that there is way more Tether printed than their funds.
When the underlying funds lose value due to a Evergrande collapse, the expectation is that the emperor is left standing with no clothes.
I remember reading this failure could decimate crypto’s because of tether’s balance sheet. I think they said at the time about 1/3 of their assets were tied to Evergrande paper.
Any sauce on this? Sounds quite dasting.
Afaik this was the first time people started connecting Tether and Evergrande.
Pretty explicitly denied though.

Feels like if they had Evergrande exposure it would be some sort of indirect exposure (e.g. an ETF or some other fund that held Evergrande). It's not very cabal-like to directly lie.
Tether's books apparently being closed, one can only speculate or hope for leaks, I suppose.
Oh, they do, when they are confident they wont get caught.
Remember - "I did not have sexual relations with that woman"
But in this case you might be right. The specific denial of not holding "securities issued by Evergrande" has all the hallmarks of them having indirect exposure to Evergrande.
Honestly, I think the whole "Evergrande focus" is one of those "paytriot" psyops. In reality it does not matter if the exposure is to Evergrande or to any kind of paper, because all paper is worthless and the collapse will happen regardless.
Key word in my statement was "directly".
They'll deceive through indirection and word play all day. 🤣 But knowing that behavior gives us clues as to where to look for the truth.
Yes! That’s the one.
I'm watching Country Garden to go tits up next:

As I posted in response below, I suspect the Hong Kong judge will die of “natural causes” and the verdict will be appealed to the “proper” mainland court who will reverse the prior decision and kick the debt can down the road just like our Congress does.
It’ll be interesting to see how trading goes tomorrow
Buy $AMC
Great stock, I especially loved the 10-1 reverse stock split changing $1,000 to $100 in the blink of an eye.
Yes, keep buying the distraction stonk.
That's what my brother in law told me a while ago. In 2021 he was a milionaire for a short time, and instead of taking out his "investment", he and his greedy wife opened a bottle of champagne. Now his initial "investment" of €100,000 is worth €10,000. Their plans to build a villa, well, they are postponed.
Cryptochuds are all losers imo
Pardon me?
