I use a Trelogy Elipta inhaler for my asthma. I refill monthly since last June. My original co-pay was $149 which went up to $175 in October. I went to pick up my refill today and pharmacy said my co-pay went up to $559!! I called SilverScript, my Part D Medicare insurance company and they said Astra Zeneca raised the price. I told the pharmacy no thanks and notified my pulmonologist to call the insurance co. to remove it so I can drop back down to tier one. I researched for a generic but there is none and Trelogy is the ONLY inhaler available with the three ingredients which includes a steroid. I will choke before I will pay that! Only the poor on medical assistance will get it at OUR expense. Thanks for the vent….I feel better.

Welcome to Obamacare. Destroying the middle class one family at a time. A rising tide that will raise all yachts and sink all little boats. Where did the outrage to repeal it go?
Wait…. You guys have boats <meme>
Try The Wellness Company to get a safe inhaler.
Here is their link ... https://www.twc.health/
hope it helped. that's a real bite. Go to new York, fly to Mexico. lose your passport and cross into AZ. you'll get it for free.
Try smoking a hit of good weed sometime before the inhaler. I had asthma when I lived with multiple cats and like a third of a pinner would take care of it for a long time; less than a joint a day.
It's a bronchodilator...
I hope something (or many somethings) in here helps:

Example:
Flavonoids
Flavonoids are polyphenols (found in fruits, vegetables, red wine, and tea) that have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Flavonoids have been associated with improved lung function (Garcia 2005). The following flavonoids/ flavonoid-containing plants have been studied in the context of asthma:
Quercetin. Part of quercetin’s chemical structure is similar to cromolyn, a mast cell stabilizer sometimes used to treat asthma (Weng 2012). In one study, a high dietary intake of the flavonoids quercetin (found in wine, tea, and onions), naringenin (found in oranges and grapefruit), and hesperetin (found in oranges and lemons) was associated with a lower prevalence of asthma (Knekt 2002). Several animal models of asthma have demonstrated the anti-inflammatory properties of quercetin. In one study, a single-dose oral administration of quercetin caused significant broncodilation, both in culture and in vivo (Joskova 2011). In another study, oral administration of quercetin significantly reduced levels of the inflammatory cytokines IL-5 and IL-4 as well as inhibited mucus production in the lungs (Rogerio 2010). In yet another animal model, quercetin significantly inhibited all asthmatic reactions when it was administered before an asthma-inducing substance (Park 2009).
Proanthocyanidin. Proanthocyanidin is the main constituent of Pycnogenol®, an extract from the French maritime pine bark. Proanthocyanidin is a powerful antioxidant that neutralizes free radicals (Cos 2004). A randomized, placebo-controlled trial found that children with mild to moderate asthma who received Pycnogenol® for 4 weeks in addition to daily and/or rescue inhalers had significantly improved lung function and asthma symptoms compared to the placebo group. Also, the treatment group was able to reduce or discontinue use of rescue medication(s) more often than the control group (Lau 2004). Similar results were found in a more recent trial among adults with stable, controlled asthma who used Pycnogenol® as an adjunct compared to inhaled corticosteroid only or placebo (Belcaro 2011).
Ginkgo biloba. A flavonoid-rich extract of leaves of the Ginkgo biloba tree appears to be an effective asthma therapy (Mahmoud 2000; Li 1997; Tang 2007). In one study, ginkgo biloba extract was added to corticosteroids for 2 weeks. Researchers found that the sputum of patients on the ginkgo therapy had significantly less inflammatory cells compared to the drug-only or placebo groups, suggesting that ginkgo extract may relieve the airway inflammation associated with asthma (Tang 2007). In an animal model of asthma where an allergy challenge was followed by treatment with ginkgo, the extract inhibited the release of eosinophils in the lung tissue and mucus-secreting cells in the airways (Chu 2011).
You should be able to get Ventolin (salbutamol) and becatide (beclometasone) as generics. Those are the "instant" and "long term" Asthma drugs, used in Europe. Probably similar effects. Almost certain to be cheaper.
Longer term, (with ventolin to get you there), take up exercise until you can run a few miles. Asthma can disappear once your lung strength improves. (maybe, depends)
We don't see beclamethasone so much now. Don't know why but replaced by budesonide.
That's because beclamethasone works. I requested it from my Kaiser doctor and he said it's not "on their list" so I'm stuck with Flovent instead.
Just complete speculation here, but I'm going to guess they discovered it accidentally cures cancer while it's at it.
Kek! Or maybe it's anti-parasitic!
The illegals get everything they need for free.
Take a trip to Canada I paid $12 for mine and that is just basic government plans.
If its a product that have multiple APIs (active pharmaceutical ingredients) see if you can get generics of them separated. That’s a favorite tactic of pharma is to combine actives that are commonly prescribed together into one system, run clinical trials, then get exclusivity on it even though it does the same thing when you take them separate. Its tricking people into thinking its more effective or different when its one delivery system.
If you have carpet, rip it up. Your lungs will thank you
probably a source of microplastics.
I hope you can research and find natural relief. I’d start with diffusing oregano oil as you sleep. Hubs was put on blood thinner, no insurance (our choice), drug was $448/mo at onset and $880/mo when he quit taking. Too late-side effect: arthritis. He’ll have a new hip for Valentines. ALL PHARMA MADE DRUGS are evil, convince me otherwise.

The $559 is your deductible. Once you reach that, the cost will go down because you have reached your copay. Explore whether you can pay out of pocket somewhere else, such as All Day Chemist in India.
I may be able to help. I gave a co-worker a bottle of NAC when he wasn’t recovering well from Covid. Unbeknownst to me, he had asthma and used an inhaler. His father is a retired DO and he checked with his father (who also has a chemistry degree) about the safety and efficacy of NAC before taking any. Father said “it can’t hurt”.
Co-worker called me a witch doctor the day after as he stopped coughing and slept all night the first day he took it. He takes it daily, asthma has improved, and he hasn’t used his inhaler in the year since starting it.
Father also had asthma, saw improvement in son, started NAC, and has also improved to point of not needing inhaler. I tell everyone about NAC now (after someone here told story about Big Pharma exec (at bar encounter years ago) who stated “If you take nothing else, take NAC.”
I point everyone to this website:

I second this
I saw a video on here where a pharmacist stated if you ask what the cash price is it is usually cheaper.
Then I remembered that I needed a prescription and my doctor said this is extremely expensive and she gave it to me when I was in her office. It was only one dose. I needed it again and she called it in and said it is very expensive. I looked on GoodRx and it was over $250.
The pharmacy said my insurance (medicare) didn't cover it and they where trying to get it approved.
I said forget the insurance I need it and will pay cash.
I went to pick up my prescription knowing with GoodRx it was going to be over $250. They said $36.00. I paid them confused and looked at the product and it was identical to what the doctor gave me before. I figured the pharmacy made a mistake.
Then I needed it again and the price was the same. I told my husband I can't understand it when we saw the price was over $250. I just forgot about it.
Then I saw the above video and it all made sense.
So call your pharmacy and say I am paying cash and forget about the insurance.
Good luck.
It would really be a good idea to try to find a homeopathic way to treat your asthma and get off the meds from the pharmacy.
Things like this make me worried that people aren't as prepared for The Storm as they think they are.
When things get shut down, and everything starts going down, there's no telling how long businesses will be closed, including pharmacies.
And if those in healthcare involved in the pandemic hoax are brought to justice, it could be a long time before there are enough doctors and pharmacists to start seeing patients again.
If Big Pharma is brought to justice as they should be, they might all be out of business permanently. There's a good chance that no medications from Big Pharma will be available ever again. That's a good thing in my opinion. I don't know why anyone would trust Big Pharma for anything.
Try to find a naturopath to seek nutritional means of curing and managing your condition. It can be done.
Try www.canadadrugsdirect.com - some prescriptions are cheaper imported without insurance, some not. Weird world we live in.
Better off with NAC anyways
I believe herbs can help. I’ve seen it when I’m researching. Some herbs you can smoke and that might help. I’ll try to do some research for you.
The same thing just happened to my mom. You may want to check on changing your insurance if you can. There might be a better option for you if you search around. Sorry to hear this is happening, but this is definitely Obamacare at its best.
Look into holistic ways to control your asthma. I honestly know nothing about it, but I am convinced that there are natural cures, or at least proper maintenance, for everything that ails us. Use this as an opportunity to remove yourself from the clearly broken medical system. It's hard, but you can do it.
Medical patents make doctors stupid.
Bastards
See if Reynoldsmeds.com has something you can order reasonably priced.
I know I'm not your doctor but may I just say that a carnivore diet + intermittent fasting has been shown to GREATLY improve basically every ailment known to man. Check up on it fren
I think you might be able to order the Trelogy Ellipta inhaler from India at a much, much lower price.
Check out the med sources from India on this list I post over on Patriots.win. (I used to post it here periodically during the covid years, but one of the mods banned me from posting.)
My suggestion would be to email Reynold Brook (ReynoldMeds) directly. He's become a go-to source for a lot of us here. (I've bought my IVM, antibiotics, and all my heart meds from him since early 2021. My heart meds from him are a fraction of their US pharmacy cost.)

Let me know if you have questions -- or if you'd like me to contact him for you. (He knows me personally at this point.)
Yes, please contact him for me! Thank you,
I just heard back from Reynold. He said that to the best of his knowledge, Trelegy Ellipta inhalers are not available for sale in India to the United States.
He said that there's currently no generic form of Trelegy Ellipta available for sale. (His company, and the others on that list I linked, sell only generics.)
I did a little dig on this, and according to this item, Trelegy Ellipta won't go generic until 2030, when it's patent runs out.

I also found this website with info on "Trelegy Patient Assistance" for folks who can't afford their ridiculous price:
https://simplefill.com/patient-assistance-program/trelegy/
Bottom Line -- THE ENTIRE BIG PHARMA/MEDICAL/INDUSTRIAL BORG SUCKS.
Thank you so much for researching Trelogy Elipta! I am not eligible for assistance in buying this. I can afford it, I just refuse to pay it!!
Whew ...it's a blessing that you can afford this stuff. There are clearly tons of folks who can't. ...Absolutely infuriates me.
Will do. I'll let you know as soon as I hear back. (Reynold replies rapidly, factoring in the time diff.)
For example, IndiaMart is quoting a price in rupees that converts to about $38 US.

Apologies for my delay in getting back to you -- I put my back out (badly) and haven't been able to be online for a couple of days. I've emailed Reynold to ask about this product. He's checking now and will get back to me (hopefully) by late tonight or early morning (EST). I'll get back to you as soon as I hear from him.
