In my area its mostly the immigrants. Walk8ng down the street all by themselves,not another person in sight. Riding in thier cars by themselves.

Am I the only one that notices so many blacks, particularly black women, who wear masks, but wear them on their chin?

Like, I totally understand wearing a mask on your chin if you're forced to wear a mask and don't want to, so you let it drop down to your chin. And, I disagree with, but at least understand the germaphobic mindest wearing a properly fitted mask, even when you aren't forced to.

But I absolutely do not understand choosing to wear a mask, but still wearing it in a manner that absolutely does nothing.

Like, seriously, what is the mindset there? Is it a fashion statement? Do they not realize they don't have to? Is it to be at the ready if someone makes them? Do they actually think that helps something? I just don't get it.

I live in FL and I see a lot of elderly wearing them. My vet is right next to a Lab Corp lab and I’ve sat and watched people walking in, mostly elderly but many obese or sickly looking and almost all wearing masks. It is hard not to intervene and say something but I think it’s too late. By now.. you’d think they would have read something or been told how damaging masks are. You’d think their doctors would say, “sir/ma’m!!! Lose the mask! You can’t breathe!!” I can only deduce the medical pros are actively trying to reduce their life expectancy.

You know what the number one thing is that humans fear most? Suffocation. Slow suffocation perpetuates the fear cycle. Fear the virus. Fear others, fear freaking everything and do what you’re told!!

Also, moronic behavior— I was in Publix recently and a very overweight older woman had what looked like a knitted mask over her mouth. She was talking to someone on her phone and had the mask all scrunched up over her mouth. I had to wait for her to finish her effing business in front of the cheese I wanted to get. I guess survival of the fittest comes to mind in those cases.

The original article was published less than a week In NEJM after the first case which is highly unusual if I may add “irregular” as I have submitted articles before for publication where a few were accepted but sent back for corrections and/or editing before being finally printed which takes more time, and took almost a year to be published.

I had downloaded the original article dated Jan 2020 but unfortunately deleted it from my computer and didn’t save the link. The article used below is dated Mar 5, 2020, most likely “adjusted” as somebody pointed out about how fast the article was printed - it appears everything was prepared aka a pLandemic in advance including publication of said article.
