The problem is.. They are saying the same thing about Trump now. I'm not a US citizen, I can't vote but all of you who are please do, don't take it for granted.
I think there will be many more voters this year that have recently awakened. I believe a majority of Americans realize what is happening. This may be a slight majority but still over half of voting age adults.
A candidates lead had never been framed in this way before 2016. They didnt just use their fake polls and say Hillary had a 10 point lead, or whatever number, like they had always done in the past. That wouldnt have the same propaganda effect on the conservative voters they hoped to influence to stay home. They knew she was going to lose. They couldnt understand how it happened, but they knew.
I have a cousin who was a lifelong democrat and she voted for Trump in 2016 (and 2020, of course) and subsequently has changed her party to Republican. I think the left underestimated just how deeply people loathe the Clintons. I doubt very much they'll ever make the mistake to try and run her as a candidate again though I wouldn't put it past them to try to insert her without an election.

I was pleasantly shocked when Trump won in 2016. I thought he wasn’t gonna make it bc at that time I still believed in the polls somewhat.
