The more interesting question is why would a 39 year old member of Congress throw away their political career in a failed attempt to prevent a pointless impeachment of the DHS Secretary? The Senate isn't going to convict, so why does it matter, and in fact I'd think the narrative that it was completely partisan would be better for the deep state.
Evidence and witnesses subpoenaed at the senate trial could be interesting and could lead to more impeachments which could lead to more subpoenas and so on…
The Democrats are not going to vote to call witnesses. They're going to vote to dismiss summarily and likely have the support of "Republicans" like Mitt Romney and Susan Collins.
What if 'impeachment' was meant to fail?
What if 'impeachment' was meant to distract from overseas developments?
What did ALL US MEDIA focus on during 'impeachment' process?
My immediate thought in hearing the Mayorkas impeachment succeeded was that it is meant to put a stop to the Senate for a week, or however long. As we found out with T last time, they are forced to deal with it.
At the very least, it stops them from coming up with bills to fund UKR. Friday the 23rd is coming up next week...
I do believe UKR is the keystone, which is why they are fighting so hard to keep it. Once it's rolled, shit starts falling apart FAST.
American frends, please ensure your government doesn't send any more money.
Barr/Durham working in secret lol. I will be shocked as shit if either one of them ever turn out to be anything. Durham's testimony was a massive disappointment and Barr is a total scumbag
Of course they don't have the votes, there are only 49 "Republicans" in the Senate and that's counting Mitt Romney, so your actual number is less. You need 67. Not happening.
Yeah, right? That he will be talked to and told what a bad job he's doing. This is nothing, our government is broken and especially broken are the laws which punish it and those who would enforce them.
Three Republicans defected on the impeachment effort: Reps. Mike Gallagher (R-Wis.), Ken Buck (R-Colo.) and Tom McClintock (R-Calif.), who all also voted “no” last week. But GOP leaders were able to revive the articles against Mayorkas with Majority Leader Steve Scalise’s (R-La.) return this week after treatment for blood cancer.
And just like that Mike Gallagher (today announced) he is retiring https://rollcall.com/2024/02/10/after-defying-gop-on-mayorkas-impeachment-gallagher-to-retire/
When do 39yr olds ever retire from Congress? You know there’s some kind of reason that he wants to keep suppressed.

We’ll see what happens.
🍿😎🍿
Probably pics of him at the DC orgies that Madison Cawthorn was talking about?
No doubt.
He might be safer if he leaves the country.
And then walk back as a Cuban illegal...
McClintock needs to announce his retirement also! As does Ken Buck.
Same three P’s OS.
They must have a bunch of shit on these clowns 🤡
Kid diddlers, most likely.😡🤮
When will they impeach Swawell the spy fucker?
And Wasserman and Schiff and that meatball Nadler and Garland just to name a few
And Schumer!
Fang Fang go Bang Bang!
Right? I don't trust the uniparty to do anything. Obviously this is just another info op.
Probably DOA in the Senate trial but that's the process they have to live with and I'm glad the House got this through.
All the "impeachment" posts are worth having in mind. A few stand out to me as they hint at Ukraine reveals and/or procedural maneuverings.
I don't think we have the votes to remove Mayorkas.

lol I bet they were so mad
The Senate will never convict.
Especially with McConnell in charge
What does that even mean?

We did it! 😂

I’m confused I thought they did this and it failed the other day?

I feel everyone gets impeached these days and get to go back to work. Does it mean anything?
