Stop calling it immigration. This is an invasion meant to destroy society and homogenous cultures. It's not just white people, they're going after Japan also.

Yes. It's not true that "power corrupts." It IS true that the corrupt are drawn to power. That's where the problem lies.
People who have good intentions have seized power or otherwise come into power only for the temptation to abuse it to become too much to ignore.
This is explored in a lot of literature, and is fairly observable through history.
In modern day, you may be right but that is because the people in power are entrenched to the point where good people genuinely can't gain power.
It is a philosophical statement not for its absolute truth, but more critically to serve as a warning to be wary of what power can do to a man.
I still think that this idea of "power corrupts and there's nothing you can do about it" is an intentional manipulation that has gone on for centuries. It makes decent, normal people wary of anything to do with power, so they avoid it.
Which is exactly what the sociopaths want: For decent people to stay out of the way so they can keep all positions of power, big and small, for themselves.
Don't fall for that. It isn't "power" by itself that corrupts anyone. If it seems to, that only means that the person had sociopathic tendencies to start with and power simply made them worse.

Sinn Fein is the political wing of the IRA. While they have "separated" since 2005, the Irish people consider them one and the same. Reality on the ground is Gerry Adams of Sinn Fein decreed that the IRA would use only peaceful means for their political goals in exchange for a seat at the table. That pledge of non violence has held up pretty well making the IRA itself mostly a non factor. There is great debate in Ireland asking if Sinn Fein can lead without an active IRA.
Sinn Fein is currently the majority party.
Something to keep in mind is that Ireland has been partitioned far longer than Palestine or Korea or Germany. Sinn Fein was launched in 1905 and the IRA is much older than that. Northern Ireland was formally made an autonomous state in 1920 but it too stretches much farther back in history. The Troubles are centuries old, a fight between protestant England overlords and the Catholic people of Ireland.
These are my views as an American of Irish decent. I have been to Ireland 3 times visiting family but I dont live there and only have the history I learned orally through family and through history books. Im sure a Irish anon on the ground can clear up any misconceptions or bad facts I may have.
