My Gen X kids I think were the last of the free range children. My grandchildren are doing about the same. So far, no one has called the police on their parents.
Im Gen X, I suppose. I was born in early 1965. When I was a kid in the summer, Id wake up around 7 and Mom would have to force me to eat breakfast before I was outside. Wed climb trees, swim, build forts, ride our bikes into town to get 10cent bottles of Townclub, play baseball at the school or football in the backyards. It was nonstop action all day until Moms would start calling the kids home around dark. Lunch was at whose ever house we are at at the time. Had to be home at exactly 5 for dinner and then by 530 after cleaning the kitchen for Mom right back outside.
We didnt have video games. TV had 4 channels and it was all garbage. We made our own fun. Every Saturday Dad would have us all outside at the buttcrack of dawn to do our 2 hours each of yard work. Couldnt do shit until the jobs were complete. He would give us each 2 dollars for the help so we could buy an ice cream. And that was on top of our 10 dollars allowance. Dont ask for extra money, there was none. I had my own paper route at 10 years old. Nobody helped me. I saved that cash and when I turned 16 had enough to buy my own car.
I raised my millennial kids this way. It took on two of them but the baby of the family was kinda spoiled. Shes the liberal of the family but not one of these outrageous liberals. Shes just got a big heart.

We need to see the driving incident and the start of the fight to have the context to decide if that incivility is justified. The video starting in the middle of the fight makes it look low class all around

(1) So-called "Gen X" was originally called the "Baby Bust" generation. Baby Boom was post-WWII and going through until they were considered adults (18 years old). That is why Baby Boom was 1946-1964. That would make the next generation, the Baby Bust (fewer children born than Baby Boom) the years 1965-1983. But I guess they didn't like that term, so the politically-correct monsters changed it to "Gen X." Next up would be 1984-2002, which would make them "Millenials." Somewhere along the line, they just gave up on anything that would be mathematically correct, and decided to use whatever years and names someone can come up with that sticks.
(2) Those "wokesters" might have been Millenials.
(3) There is no context as to why the younger ones would want to fight in the middle of the street, or why they would be considered "woke." Looks to me that there is nothing political, but more likely that they were Hispanic and wanted to fight some older White folks (who might have actually been Baby Bust/Gen X).
(4) Older White folks knew how to throw down -- especially Mama. Good for them.
Because solving America's problems is blaming the younger generations while you've had 50 years to do something about it and you could have stopped the cabal yourselves, but yet you kept voting for John McCain and Lindsey Graham every time. I don't want to hear it.
