The movie I Am Legend is a 2007 American post-apocalyptic action thriller starring Will Smith as US Army virologist Robert Neville. Loosely based on the 1954 novel of the same name, the film is set in New York City after a virus, which was originally created to cure cancer, has wiped out most of mankind, leaving Neville as the last human in New York, other than nocturnal mutants.
Neville is immune to the virus, and he works to develop a cure while defending himself against the hostile mutants. It is the third feature-film adaptation of Matheson's novel following 1964's The Last Man on Earth and; 1971's The Omega Man.
I saw The Last Man on Earth starring Vincent Price when I was a kid. Freaked me out real bad. The scenes where people were just laying dead in the streets wherever he went gave me nightmares.
Loved The Omega Man with Charleton Heston later on.
I kept the placenta after the birth of my baby because if I didn’t, there’s a possibility it gets “donated” to some medical institution that can do whatever they want to something that I grew and contains my DNA. I wasn’t foolishly leaving that to someone unknown and possibly nefarious.
I had a Teratoma removed from my chest the size of a softball when I was around 32. Teratomas are made up of embryonic cells, and can have teeth, hair etc. I wish I would have kept. Would have made a interesting piece to place on the mantle lol.

That being said, a recent study I learned about while listening to Joe Rogans podcast with Billy Carson, a scientist was able to "transcript binary information" to DNA code. As I recall, he was able to covert a massive PDF file with images and all that stuff onto a tiny bit of DNA. They then programmed it to replicate itself several thousand times. AFTER doing the beer math they calculated you could theoretically imprint hundreds of PETABYTES (entire university libraries' entire collections) on a gram of DNA. ONE FUCKING GRAM.
Folks, I am 1000% convinced we (every single human alive) have information locked up in our DNA we dont even know is there. It has been passed down through the processes of life. It explains why some people for unknown reason are born with super natural abilities to understand things most humans cant comprehend. I haven't read the books, and it's been forever since I saw the movie. BUT.. Why would someone take a medication for something they didn't have? Clearly we are not all that stupid. The only way to get literally everyone medicated is to do it in a way that they don't know they've been medicated. Was this their ultimate goal? I'm sure! But we free thinking humans, are smarter than that. The only way to do it is to give everyone cancer via the air we breath. Which is also probably how they will do it.
I think the premise was that those who had cancer took the specially formulated vaccine to cure their own existing cancer, but the vaccine utilized a type of virus that ended up spreading to everyone, wiping out the population quickly, except for a few who lived but mutated into a kind of monstrous albino cannibal creature that sleeps during the day and comes out at night to search for something to eat, as food was no longer being produced. (Haven't seen it since it came out, but that's what I remember.)
