Trump pardoned Stone even though it could cost him politically because he was concerned about his health. They were friends. Biden would not even care about his own son.
I come to the opposite conclusion, that this is an attempt to try and trick people into believing there isn't a two tier justice system. The point is for everyone to look and say, "see, they're not just going after Trump, they got a Biden for a crime too" and they'll ignore Uncle Sniffy getting a pass on his classified documents.

I'm assuming Hunter has no prior violent convictions which will help him in sentencing.

I'm of two minds on this. On one hand, I have zero love for Hunter or any of his family. On the other hand:
1: The "gun law" he broke shouldn't even exist.
2: Yeah, it's a distraction.
3: And yeah, this is to give the illusion that our "justice" system isn't flagrantly biased.
